  1.  @maxwellblackwell5045  PLUS, if u r only changing the filter by time, that makes zero sense, bcuz filters do not degrade by time, only by usage or miles

  2.  @donalbershardt9290  maybe, but do filters really age by one year or even a few yrs? i'm under impression the filters do not age per years, but the oil actually does. So, your idea could be quite the opposite of correct in some or many cases even, based on my long years of living and dealing w/ cars, other vehicles, engines, etc etc
