middle aged male yank myself and i'm quite concerned, even severely. However i knew something was turning dark around '14ish, could feel it deeply. Then '16 happened and it was plainly obvious. But many of us liberals and centrists won't tolerate much more Trumpism generally and any intentional dismantling of what is already a quite lean federal system that made life relatively quality vs the distant past. We will resist like our futures depend on it, for obvious reasons. These ppl in the new WH are neo-reactionaries and some are clearly incompetent, which means the intention of DJT is kakistrocracy, ie rule by the least qualified, bcuz the goal is simply throw chaos and sand into the gears. It's an actual potential natsec. crisis therefore, and our highest military officials better have done good research on that factor, bcuz this is how rolling coups do work in an open society like ours. We are individualists who will not tolerate what DJT is attemping, and if necessary we will shut the economy down entirely, thru mass ongoing NV civil disobedience, the only tool that changed anything in the 20th century!

UTTERLY AGREE with u! Imho it's actually far more enboldening than DJT's 'stand by stand down' stmt, bcuz DJT was responding to a situation and is buffoon-like and not intelligent as even modest intelligent ppl probably realize, but Elon is intelligent and wasn't responding, ie forced to do the salute, he did it on his own in a very interesting way actually, with much more gusto and elegance actually than most 3rd Reich folks often did. The swooping to the side style he used is one of the classic dramatic variations that Hitler himself and his very top brass used, i've seen it many times on recordings. More importantly, to us americans of middle age at least, nazi sentiments are plainly deeply unacceptable socially. Thirty years ago the nazi marchers had to be pretty careful and were scorned widely and probably physically hounded oftentimes here in the Pacific Northwest, where i'm from. In any case, they're soon going to 'find out' how much we normies will not tolerate them further, as part FAFO.

bingo rama! Indeed it ironically isn't about neglect of infrastructure, laws, etc. This is physics and an incredibly useful way to explain physics for ppl not familar w/ science. In uni/college i took Water & the Environment which includes hydrology etc. Naturally the western U.S. is the best and most fascinating example of the complexities of water management. I'm middle aged and have only ever lived in CA for six months but bcuz wages were very good for the seasonal firemen/workers way back when, but i did other work instead, easier on the lungs. Most of the fires that have happened in the past decade were impossible to avoid, actually, from what i understand. Going forward, i suspect there will be new ideas in the management of the interfaces of residential areas and zones-of-brushlands/forests, etc. But even any version of that would not have prevented these fires this month, and these are likely the only unimaginably expensive fires, on paper at least: But to me, i don't care about that part of the cost, i care about how dangerous these particular fires were to safety, which fires like this always are.

its a myth bcuz it was during DJT WH that both inflation got brewing & cooking & supply chain issues in particular becamea huge issue. Many of us knew that who follow biz world closely, including shipping world. Toyota was already having issues, including hits to quality bcuz of supply chain in all liklihood. Bottom line, in the USa, inflation is not something the society can handle, unlike many other countries that have mitigating factors like social safety nets or gray market economies or shadow economies. Trump caused chaos that he does not deny, that was his intention, and that has a ton to do with the supply chain (china included) , as well as domestic american moods, habits ,practices. That's how inflation and prosperity-issue, work! Read more about econ and u will see. Easy to connect the dots, though not easy to quantify in real time.
