It's now literally THE perfect time to put the screws to Ru, to privately threaten it in no uncertain terms, bcuz in fact the allies have the air power to assist Ukr in finishing this war by getting Ru out of the south of Ukr. This could be wrapped up in a matter of about two months, or if temp' s are n iassue, then by late spring. Timing is the whole thing in war and it's the pefect time to tighten up hard! The opposite is a status quo stupid disastrous decision which if the US does it, is bcuz of piss-poor understanding of the effect of a mere 70M ethnic russians in this world, who literally don't matter.

In fact, me as a centrist and liberal here in the U.S., was not pleased during this past four yrs bcuz we seemed to rarely get communication of a full sort from the WH, when we really needed it and we needed a sense of solid leadership , personal leadership, against the onslaught of DJT's attempted slow rolling coup, basically we all saw that's what it was, ongoingly, as the GOP first criticzed him for a few weeks after Jan 6, then embraced him heartily and increasingly supported insane dangerous stuff, ratcheting on up all the way until election last year. We centrists needed simple explanations and we really never got them, ie from WH. If i weren't fairly high educated already i'd not have understood the legal details like i did and do. I can imagine what the more than half of our nation who reads at less than 6th grade level might think... not solid/good

Grew up in a professional type family (single parent by death) but not barely financially middle class growing up in '70's and '80's. It was impossible to make a decent career the way i envisioned it even as a modest success: so i'm sick of it and i want it to crash now, i think it WILL be net positive in the medium/long run for the american society which is dysfunctional. This IS what we get for being one of the most superficial spoiled societies on the planet, and under-educated bcuz of some states ultraconservative populist idiocy since the mid '80's!!!!!!!

  16. the focus needs to be on the tariffs of Can and Mex, which are insane quite obviously. It's literally nonsensical, bcuz the only way cars can be made efficiently (so they're not insanely expensive and literally unattainable!) is the zero tax across border now, so that parts /whole cars can go back/forth as they get pieces put on each part, etc etc. Food alone is the big one and will literally malnourish many folks today who for five years have struggled w/ insanely high prices for food, and living cost overall! This is going to break the actual underlying economy, i guarantee it as an american who also studied econ in university and politics and worked 20 years finance/markets

  23. yes absolutely, i can say as an american who studied a ton of history, poly sci, political econ, econ, behavioral, etc, that DJT /team is in an implicit alliance with Ru. The mercantilist stuff and the Ukr policy past two weeks, plus europe policy, proves it. Beyond a shadow of a doubt. It's dire, and we the ppl can respond appropriately with a 2M person march on D.C. asap. March 14 will be have one there, it's soon, so probably not 2M obviously

Pushing ppl to take up arms for self defense was the first obvious clue that conservatives didn't want law enforcement to do actual safety-work, etc. It's all part of how fascism works in a morally-nihilistic society that they've been pushing on us since the '90's.   26. in the '90's Ru didn't show any interest in becoming part of EU or Nato, even though the west stated that that was very possible! Ru knew that its way of life with actual serfdom levels of tribute/corruption was imcompatible with the west. The best way to understand this is to realize simple facts of the field of finance and accountancy: when Saab cars was needing a new owner to rescue it, the most viable one was really a russian financed co/guy but his past wrt dirty money was disqualifying. There are limits.

I'm american of middle age and am daily hearing conservatives rebuke the new DJT regime, including for shutting down all USAID monies suddenly (most were going to Ukr, in dollar terms, appaerntly).   39. Elie Wiesel's Night (and his companion story "Day", iirc) were pivotal for many of us growing up here in the U.S. who are now at midlife. He really understood human motivations & natural law. When an individual person stays neutral, that is absolutely siding w/ the aggressor. That is crystal clear. When it comes to nations, like Sweden in ww2, it does get tricky. IF a national gvt who acquiesces to foreign control like Sweden did, but can operate quietly surreptitiously to gain intell on the aggressor nation, then it can, in theory , be net positive. That didn't happen though, i guess.
