@superslice28magee68 u r not funny
1
Dead wrong. Most of us americans would fight for Ukr against the Ru federation troops & their pathetic mercenaries from various poor nations, bcuz this is an assault on european civizilation itself and all that it stands for. Get a clue, u antipatriot. DJT had no mandate, the strength of his win was the 38th strongest win, whoopee! no mandate, and the dismantling of the US system of gvt and power, is insanely stupid and unaccpetable to most educated americans. THis is clearly a social coup and cultural revolution attempt and it will fail miserably. Ya'll messed w/ the wrong effing marines! Eff you Luna!
1
@comatoseps1382 not how it works, as usual, ppl like u haven't cracked a econ textbook maybe ever, nor international politics. Any history texts u've read?
1
that's why revolutions happen in EVERY human society, that point/level. Duh. If not, then such countries were always invaded historically. Something's....gotta give! That's physics
1
JUST the opposite for me. He brings together everything i started learning long ago and ties it all together! Sheer brilliance and light!
1
bcuz we yanks are so under-educated AND there's always been a strong-drive of anti-intellectualism, sadly. I'm mid fifties and would actually leave the country if i had enough money (ie to go somewhere good/nice)
1
what makes u think he's dead broke? Lives in Poland which requires some serious money these days to live in as an american. And his recording equipment is top flight
1
yep, muscovy, shallow, spoiled, and mostly simply a phony showy front, with the superstructure of society being controlled by the Siloviki which via the whole financial system funds the security aparatus, the sum total of those are what i'd call not just tawdry but russian word "pushili" which is tawdry on an extreme and grotesque depth level. Russia is hard for most outsiders to imagine, from what i gather now three years into my deeper research into them/there.
1
@iluxazapolsky5877 nice try slickski, but his mind for finance is far in excess to most financial experts or econometricians working in finance, that i've ever been exposed to in my over 50 years. Ru is about to implode.
1
and removing the brains at FBI, with plans to remove at least 6K fbi agents! FBI is handsdown the most respected investigative service in the world! It did its duty by doing work DOJ requested it to do. That's how law enforcement works. DJT is clearly an agent-provocateur who has power and is now actively trying to undermine the function of the U.S. gvt. This is mob rule, ochlocracy.
1
@stephenthomas3085 we Yanks have limited power to immediately push our gvt to see logical strategic foreign affairs options, and the economic ones, ie this dangerous fooilsh mercantilist shift which will absolutely ruin the entire business model of the USofA. It almost really does look like a foreign-planted subterfuge of american interests. In any other nation, the legislature would be wise enough to refuse the tariffs, and to support Ukr in actually knocking Ru hard on its face, i.e some airpower to take a bit of land back in the key zones of Kherson and Zapo. No brainer. But they are fearful ignorant fools. Craven cowards and/or ignorant, i dunno. But this is the first serious problem i think the US has EVER had.
1
@volkerr. lol: i wish but obviously civil society is infinitely too small to fund Ukr to make up for the gap! U ok?
1
your claims have literally zero basis in facts. Nothing changed in that regard under biden vs DJT vs Bush many years prior. This is bunk. Get your facts straight. Our north american two neighbors can't enforce law a lot more than they do now, given physical limits, costs, etc. We have the technology and the logical motivation to keep it all out, but if u have ever read about trade and law enforcement, and black mkts, there are limits and we're near those now. Your new populist RW is grasping at straws and air and making hysterical claims. You're mixing up fantasy with reality and you're about to damage the best economy on earth in the past five years!
1
@k.squared bingo, and a topic often discussed on some of Silicon Curtain's more russian-focused interviews, which has some of the brightest russians who are public about their true ideas.
1
@Короткоіясно-ь8р very interesting. Would love some expansion of your idea
1
@edwardhammond5582 yes but the corruption is part of the economic system, that's how mindless ethic-less un-englightened, nonmodern, uncivilized ppl operate. Btw, RU needs to be contained asap. This shit is getting serious now globally! Time's up!
1
@crazystuddd i dnt get the reference..?
1
'to a wall'? his back is to the wall, so it's the opposite. Glad u dnt do artillery for the Ukr army, your spatial grasp is not sharp enough.
1
do u have normal american traditional values, such as not needing/wanting firearms with you at all times? then u r welcome in Poland. Otherwise, hard no.
1
tha's not how it works. Most russians who could do something didnt and don't bcuz they are part of the grift system OR they are amoral themselves. Only a few hundred ppl run russia directly. A few thousand have the real power, and that could all have been upended a few years ago by an internal bloodless coup. Russians ARE now responsible for their situation. The collective peaceful nations who built up this world since '45 will NOT turn back and will no longer tolerate Russian in any current form!
1
@jackorchard1279 they dn't move back to Ru bcuz they're the descendants of opportunists OR bully-types: this is why the Baltics need to be very wary and untrusting of their ru-ethnic residents. This is not a game and we westerners need to assist the Baltics in true security which means no internal manipulation by Russian residents.
1
@clockworker indeed! Ru, as one of our important americans said after the War, is a jealous insecure personality who's paranoia leads to problems in relating internationally. It's high time that actual containment of RU happens now.
1
yes, AND my america (i'm midlife now) is not actually nearly as sophisticated as germany was into the early '30's., albeit there are also positives that DE did not have, so it's not a fair comparison obviously, and i'm still confident that we normal ppl will resist what DJT will try to do next year. Btw, Ru's imperialism is entirely medieval in all aspects, including even the amount of knowledge involved. Ru has always done everyting on the cheap, but more importantly it's entirely a-moral and uses sadism in a spread-sheet precise way, thus reminding us very very much of the 3rd Reich.
1
second this motion, i do! Abso great idea and we really need to get Mark's ideas out into a wider sphere, bcuz he's one of the best speakers wrt Russia that i've come across ever, let alone this past three years! I'm middle aged and studied international politics from '93 until now.
1
the alienating is intentional obviously.
1
u r nuts? Albrecht who created SilkRoad, the massive darkweb where the darkest crimes /illicit stuff was traded, was pardoned of his life sentence w/out possibility of parole!! Part of his charges were 5X attempted murder-hires himself! ffs! DJT is not just a criminal, he is trying to normalize formal corruption of the body politic and society generally. He/elon/zuck et al are nihilists.. for real.. This is what's happening . And if u r Ukr supporter u btter snap the fk to attention, bcuz shit is going to get real now
1
@SalihGoncu and now ongoingly for entire length of the sophisticated period of human history, say past few hundred years of modern commerce and gold still is a currency
1
yes but here in the U.S., ironically or not, our way of gvt is actually based on a whole bunch of attorneys (lawyers) and org's who they work for, etc etc, and civic org's as well, that will try to keep the new regime from harming the nation and the world, e.g. by pushing Ukr into an unjust & precedent-setting peace. Ukr has to be able to decide its limits, without undue influence. (and e.g. apparently last week DE's chancellor did not take the appropro tone when informing Ukr that he was about to call PooTin. That's unacceptable unless DE and UKR have an already existing arrangement to deal w/ any fallout or complexities resulting from such a call.
1
we all must read Dante, his trilogy is considered the trigger that started the Enlightenment and western civ as we know it. Kiiinda big deal! lol! The show about his life/work is hands down one of the three or so most interesting stories i've ever learned of, up there with Elie Wiesel's experiences as a child captive of the Holocaust.
1
@Ukie88 russia has never paid for anything when times were even slightly tough. Same as DJT who does not pay his bills in full, often not at all!
1
@EconLessons ahh, it's easy i learned it in my sleep, lol. Humor re my inability to learn lang's as hard as i tried when young. Polish, CZ/SK are brutal, and HU and Finnish are impossible almost, for most adults. You though are not most ppl, quite sharp to say the least!
1
just part of their b.s. and gaslighting and disinfo campaign. DJT simply needs to be countermanded w/ appropriate tools.
1
@CimaV8 do u realize that your attempt to play fun shows u r one of them? (ru-bot)
1
@NLTops if 'the world' means all the nations, then yeah we say that but it means nothing. There are only successful decisive nations and the rest. The normally decisive nations sloughed off too much while the nations whose only real asset in the past 100 years was the ability to propagandize w/ new-sounding political-econ ideologies which have morphed into full blown a-moral nihilism from the CLINK five nations and yeah, we're in a 'sitution' now here in the West. It's time to person-up, every nation in the figurative west needs to get cracking. Much work to be done. Obviously if DJT damages Nato, then we yanks need to resist that like hell and plan to retake the political helm w/ either Dem's or a new party if necessary, bcuz our lives are quite literally on the line now.
1
and brilliant incisiveness
1
of course he's defining religion in a particular context and quality. high quality variant, of course
1
'z' is the antithesis of G-d/God
1
@lindsaygutsell6698 IF we dn't PREPARE for a coalition-of-the-willing airpower operation to secure the entire south, then yes,the eventual damage will be global, due to chain reaction effects. Those of us who studied econ and international politics since the late '80's know this. Duh. Yes we need to prepare for war. Not complicated.
1
a defeatism mentality has to first be healed. That takes time. Ru is at least 100 years behind most societies on the planet: the personas in russia have superficial understandings of most things about the world. Ru is in deep trouble now.
1
u'd have to explain what evidence u see for this, visavis 20th century history, and prior. There's almost no evidence for this claim which is likely founded in the classic bias which happens when ppl are 'influenced' by the constant aggressive propaganda from Ru /alligned sources. It's preciesly in the long run that Ukr will be entirely free, that is the trend with a large tribe when an imperial system is in slow fragmentation since 1991, in the modern world whose entire success was founded on anti-imperial concepts, and economic success and systems. Ru literally has to be contained, as any strategist knows. This may ultimately mean demilitarization of Ru's western-side capabilities at least though that will likely mean all of Ru
1
indeed! Snyder has been so important to us all in recent times ,and now everything he has cautioned us all about over the past 8 years has come to fruition.
1
@wtfroflffs nice try slick. Liberty does not equal 'libertarian' which has increasingly become anti rule-of-law and anti normal law and order.
1
yeah IF we're insect-like. But thankfully there's that whole thing called modern sophisticated fields including econ, political-economy etc. I.e nuance.
1
@LalaDepala_00 um, no, for most folks who want the most history and art in one place or two , it's Italy and France. Super easy choices vs the rest of europe! Most ppl dn't have time or money to incorporate Holland or UK or germany or switzerland into their travels, if they are interested in maximum beauty and/or art and/or history.
1
indeed! And btw, think of Prigozhin's face: a man is responsible for his face, ie expression and Prig's tells us everything we need to know about the 'russian spirit' and its schizoid moral impotence.
1
sounded right to me
1
@dimbasz your english is literally too perfect for you to even be a british born second gen russian! lol Nice to meet u Brit or Irishperson, or other native british-english speaking person
1
all of history and all our own american nation's history say that DJT cannot succeed. That's the thing about american society: its basis is rule of law. DJT is attempting to work-around and subvert it, and we're simply not going to bend even slightly on that.
1
@ArnoSchlick exactly, but it's more insidious bcuz they have the veneer of being modern and as if russians are europeans in the same sense as western europe from Italy on up and westward. Ru is not european in that sense, which is the important sense. RU...WILL need to BE CONTAINED, or there is no world.
1
american here, straight (i.e not gay/lgbtq myself) middle aged guy and for over thirty years most americans from any place in the country almost, have supported LGBTQ etc etc all the way. Pronouns are perfectly fine, nothing 'entitled' about that. I don't think u have a sense of what american ethos or culture is. We're in deep trouble here like most non american cannot fathom, from what i've been reading and hearing from those overseas. The natural conservatives in europe/UK know that our conservatives have gone into madness mode
