@petersinclair3997 yes, which is why serious econ sanctions and techj-specific sanctions will be necessary WITH monitoring. Ru/federation so plainly violated international law, norms and human-values that they risked part of their soverignty and now they will not have full sovereignty going forward IF we apply the logic of ajudicated international law, much like was done at close of 1945, but not seriously enough.

So true! THAT is the entire point and perogative of the application of international law. There cannot be a modernization of the russian military and there SHOULD be a partial or even full demilitarization of its external reaching military capabilities. This is a no brainer, it MUST be done. The risks are too high to neighbors and free-states far flung such as mine, these United States of america (which btw, the liberals of among us including myself, are becoming increasingly concerned about the now open-intereference in our affairs as well as those of European nations of heft (DE, FR), and eventually if the world does not contain Russia, we yanks and europeans will literally fight russia IN ANGER after being very patient since the 1930's till now. Ru is a ticking time bomb and needs containment. Anyone who is middle aged to old, knows this. Many young ppl are too naive or ignorant to grasp the basics of this.

@stepannakamura9669 exactly the opposite, it is accurate wrt macro 101, 110, 220, etc

second this motion, i do! Abso great idea and we really need to get Mark's ideas out into a wider sphere, bcuz he's one of the best speakers wrt Russia that i've come across ever, let alone this past three years! I'm middle aged and studied international politics from '93 until now.

@lindsaygutsell6698 IF we dn't PREPARE for a coalition-of-the-willing airpower operation to secure the entire south, then yes,the eventual damage will be global, due to chain reaction effects. Those of us who studied econ and international politics since the late '80's know this. Duh. Yes we need to prepare for war. Not complicated.
