@raksha1940 yeah that's bcuz its a super healthy fat and is widely known to be one of the superfood ways to get calories, fiber, etc etc. And like many things including nuts, the caloric intake appears to be very self limiting ie it's hard to eat too much bcuz the sense of having had enough ends up giving us not too many calories. This is true for many things that aren't highly processed. What is highly processed is pure oils.

word to the wise re Philadelphia (kraft heinz i believe) 'cream cheese' sold in the US. It may be differnt from that made for the UK mkt. Here in the U.S. the ingredients list is very unimpressive from a nutritional angle and from a bacterial angle and enzymes. Namely it uses cream, not milk, so it's one of the most processsed foods in the entire typical US dietary spectrum. I loved it 40 yrs ago as a child and hate it now! Ffs, if u r in the U.K. u can probably get fresh cream cheese or fresh-ish imported from the continent. We re freaking jealous of you brits, and french of course. To live in FR is heaven in terms of dairy, even their processed yogurt is fantastic in quality! Here in the U.S. we're largely still stuck in the past, with a few ultra high end dairy items for ridiculous money that even the wealthy rarely will buy. (we also have a 38% obesity rate among men, and e.g. black women have a 50% obesity rate. We have issues here)
