crazy is too nebulous a word, means too many different thing to us all. Zelen makes more nuance when he uses it, but generally it's not a useful word when fighting against a regime like PooTin's, which is seriously psychopathic, and wants everyone to think its psychotic (crazy) but that's mostly how theatrical bullies do their thing so that we think there's no way to deal w/ them when in fact they can be dealt w/ with equivalent responses to force. Until the West provides the right weapons, whichever are possible fastest, ie defensive (missile complex interceptors that take forever to produce apparently) or offensive. There IS a moral obligation to do so as well but the practical alone, i.e preserving world trade, food prices, etc, is reason enough for the West to assist Ukr as much as possible, incluidng up to military involvement. This is obvious to ppl who paid attention in school, particularly those who read a fair bit, from history, or sociology, or criminology, or anthro, or philo or this that or the other things.

i was so impressed w/ his speech, it was an absolute slamdunk of a speech, truly historic, as speeches go, let alone speeches of a biblical-scale geopolitical nature. Zelen really is incredibly powerful bcuz his ideas and his statements and answers are so accurate, so focused and honest. Unadorned and raw and with EXACTLY the appropriate level of attitude viasvis various parties, including the EU members and the U.S. in many of his stmts in past, which i as an american deeply appreciated, bcuz frankly they will /have affected U.S. foreign policy to at least some extent. Imho, the U.S. system of foreign policy is having to go thru an internal reformation due to this war. DJT will perhaps make that very difficult (he's anti DOState and last time it was hell and could be even far worse this four years. More importantly he plans supposedly historic changes at CIA which have some expert retired insiders concerned, and i've almost no clue but i am worried, bcuz i've studied a lot about behavioral sci's and psy and mostly spent so many hours of many years studying the business and investment world::: and my sum total understanding is that teams like DJT's are truly dangerous domestically bcuz basically they're extreme radicals, i.e willing to severely disturb THE smoothest running socio-econ system of a not small population, in the world. It's really dangerous for the obvious reasons. Otoh i have to admit that i can't quite gauge it yet, but the past 48 hours were a dire introduction and it'd be insane to be optimistic. He chose to formally socially divide the nation, in a very core-moral sense re the insurrectionists, all 1200 of them, many who literally attempted murder of some police officers. So, it's bad timing visavis Ukr but then again, we could say it's perfect timing bcuz imho, Ukr's nobility in action has helped to keep some americans' vision clear. In any case it's time for the allies to help UKR try to put enormous pressure on PooTin, and unfortunately it's hard to see DJT doing that, but i guess u never know. I believe a coalition should privately threaten Ru that it would attack Ru forces in the south (presumably to create a much better buffer zone), bcuz Ru appears extremely constrained, AND ironically i believe they're self-constrained too bcuz they know that if they really start hammering Kyiv/odesa, even just Kharkiv, then Ru would be in a much worse negotiating position, or might even be immediately attacked by a coalition, with no threat warning of such attack. Anyway, not likely bcuz DJT is quite passive unfortunately. I personally believe he's so passive that he's dangerous as fk-all, as we say in north american english at least.

@yoda1728 each one is not even slightly impossible: it's precisely what was done in the '45 + period, and the only reason Ru has gotten this bad is they used slow boil over past 20 years, to start bullying ppl: they started by playing games w/ gas actually, to SK, Austria, et al. Around same time, it invaded Georgia. This is basic sociological criminology and any psychologist, sociologist, criminologist, political scientist can explain it to Biden, or whoever will be in charge during DJT's 'presidency' (which is in quotes bcuz it's not technically legal, fyi, bcuz the US constiution default diqualfies (automatically!) anyone who wins the seat but has pushed an insurrection and that fact was known by a court (three courts verified that fact). But yes, Ru will b defeatd at some point. Bcuz there is no other way to have a normal world economy stable enough to get enough socities stable enough to not DESTABILIZE the world, e.g. w/ refugee crises in the millions near europe (like the 2011-now period), green energy shift, economic growth. These are basics... Today's Ru is literally trying to stop the world from operating. Ukr war actually needs military intervention immediately, that is the likely correct decision, but even the US admin is not being transprent about the situation!

Congratulations Anna and the orchestrators of this historic damaging of vital aircraft in Ru's war arsenal and its strategic-nuclear capability. You did help all enemies of ru including the U.S. and U.K. probably in particular. Thank u for that, but mostly i'm so happy for Ukr! Yes, only idjits would worry much about Ru's retaliation which would either happen anyway, or if not, it's still non-logical to consider it bcuz a significant slowing of Ru's air bombing capacity helps Ukr more (or has/had a high liklihood of doing so) than any excess near-term attacks hurt ukr. The fact that educated ppl in the WH don't realize that is embrassing of course, as they appear as if un-serious interlocutors and interferers now wrt Ru/Ukr, as the U.S. increasingly appears foolish, i say as someone who is clear-eyed about it bcuz i'm one of them and even i pretend to try to have a tiny bit of pride left, lol. Brava Ana! Your work is part of this long effort of many people who made this surprise historic hit possible, i.e the deep inspiration & motivation to work day and night to get the job done. I am hard to impress and both you impress me, and this hit impresses me massively. Many ppl don't quite grasp how harsh this is for the Ru's for more than one reason, including psychologically which is is really deeply psychically harmful for them, bcuz of how the mind works, how sense of legacy and heritage works, and symbolism. Ru's are thick w/ such things i think and it's one of their achilles heels. But the practical loss is very bad for them. My father figure was an aerospace scientist, it's THE most brainiac work possible, which is also why Ukr was always top dog in it.

Thank u dear Anna for sharing with us all on this Sunday and brightening our day, one of the darkest Sundays on the planet, in ages, it seems, perhaps darkest in the late modern period of history tbph. We westerners will still not stop trying to truly help your country get through this onslaught intact and with a bright future, bcuz you deserve it, and it's logical. Btw, the color of your eyes was visible somewhat even to me, even though i'm a bit color blind, so i don't know the color exactly, but i could see a blended color perhaps, very beautiful color & perfect with your gorgeous face. Your narrative style is also gorgeous, the kind and gracious manner and attitude, and your voice quality is so smooth, and with a professional and gentle manner. You're a true master of humanity, and a great warrior.(!) (as an american who is not young, it's severely shameful and humiliating to us normal citizens that our leadership behaved in the unacceptable and rude manner (way worse than rude really of course, given how much Ukr has suffered including civilians) they did in Europe this week. I apologize to you and your dear ones on our american national behalf. We are extremely unhappy and repulsed by our Admin's behavior to you, and it's happening within a context of their causing an actual constitutional crisis here while they have been doing nontransparent stoppages and interference in government functions and systems etc, as u know, and most importantly technically is that they're doing it non transparently, so that when our attorneys try to stop them in court, the judges have no information on what the new analysts (DOGE) are doing, so they can't determine the legality quickly. This was all done by the WH by design so that courts would have no way to thwart them, since legal processes require facts about who/what/when/where. So, we're sorry that for the first time in 230 years of order, we've been thrown into disorder, which is part of this whole disgusting situation which lead to the apparent abandonment of Ukr at its best spot yet for victory, imho (due to both oil hits and Kursk, among other things that amount to a form of momentum). We are sorry, as the ppl, and thus the sovereign/s (holding ultimate power) that our president has assumed illegal power over our gvt, as if he has sovereign power, and so is willing/able to go against the main zeitgeist of all past US foreign policies, goals & values wrt Ukraine & other nations like Canada in particular which is becoming a major issue, unbelievably. (i've seen legitimate mil intell indications that the DJT Admin ppl r seriously considering subterfuge against Canada, which is of course patently unacceptable to most americans. So, we DO have a situation over here right now which is causing a form of distraction, to put it mildly). Again, we're sorry. Today i saw FB posts of a Ukr friend of mine who posted a short description about and copy of a letter that a Cambodian general wrote to the chief US diplomat who'd offered him rescue from the onslaught that the literally psychotic Khmer Rouge were carrying out, though the general had wanted US gvt/military intervention to prevent Khmer Rouge from taking total control of the nation. The letter is very short and very very profound, and he turns down the offer of personal rescue bcuz it is cowardly in his eyes and bcuz he is so surprised and disappointed that the U.S. did not assist the nation itself more. The letter also diplomatically and subtlely shames the U.S. and even may have other subtext subtlety that is hard to speculate on. It is a brilliant testimony of a leader of a military, who knows he'll be murdered when the crazed enemy arrives, which of course happens. I'll send u a link somehow.

reminds me of the '80's song "All Night Long"...tough love for Russiye! (not really love but i use artistic license). Thank you Anna for your work! So many ppl deeply appreciate it now and will never forget your major contribution to the defense efforts of Ukraine & civilization itself (that cannot be over-stated. I saw that the 9 children were murdered, not killed, murdered by definition that it's intentional. Russian individuals will pay for this, over the coming years, REGARDLESS of any ceasefires or even permanent ends to the war. That will not even silghtly stop the operations to find justice, to create justice. Americans will assist in that effort, probably /perhaps especially ones who can speak ukr and/or russian, but also those who do not, i.e high level intell officers who, IF necessary, e.g. if the US desends into a theocartici fascist hellscape, i know some officers will quit and work for the Ukrainians/europeans. The future is bright, bcuz WE all have the legacy of WW2. Whether Ukrainians or europeans or americans, no one forgets it.

you two do such yeoman's work, and so late at night for this talk! Thank u for that, bcuz indeed this is a particularly darker Christmas-tide for so many ppl on earth, than in prior years, that is for damned sure! You two are a perfect combination for tonight, with such a perfectly bright yet entirely realistic ambiance and framing. Starskyi is right about friends and the fact that supporters of Ukraine who have found you two & other high-quality YT channel creators re Ukr, are part of an important contingent of society, particularly potentially, bcuz imho, the international political situation is about to get very dynamic, and possibly do so quite quickly. Insofar as western citizens are persistently vocal to their elected rep's, in a deeply intelligent yet emphatic way, it can make a difference. And your channels are the ONLY way we've become informed. Silicon Curtain as well, among a few others. Thirty years ago when the internet got going when i was young, we sensed it might be vital for bringing ppl together, and this war has made that possbility become a necessity for the first time in late modern history, imho (bcuz Ukr & others are in a war of civilization itself). Thank you both for your palpable joy and faith, including faith in us in the west, including us americans who have been so very weird about Ukr, as you know. Some of us are pushing damn hard to get Ukraine the appropro help, and we've been furious & made-crazy at the stalls of our leadership re Ukr. Slava Ukraine! Indeed, it is always darkest before the dawn. ....and indeed, Anna, the 'values' issue is a massive part of all of these problems globally, and particularly in the West, as i've personally seen, and which has surprised even me, someone who's been non-naive since i was young long ago, now at midlife. Thank u again and may your Christmas-tide be so sublime and poignant that you are powered-onward through the coming prevailing against russiye. (i like the term 'prevail', bcuz it's i think decisive, bcuz it's clear, it's a military term that has real meaning). But there will definitely be victory in a total sense. (I was fortunate in the early to mid '90's to study the sorts of things that have happened for/with/to you, bcuz i went to a great program in D.C. in the in-process ending of USSR in '93/94, and then witnessed the Balkan wars in real time, even had dear friends there in Balkan studies writing their theses in Slovenia. And a german close-friend of mine (ddr-nick no less) witnessed & took pics of stolen properties there, and was apprehended by Serbs, and he believes he may have been killed if he didn't know a bit of russian language, to convince the Serbs that he was not against them! (I was supposed to be with him there, but failed to make it happen. If i'd been, he wondered if we'd have been harmed or killed even, the mood was that dark there at the time.

Anna, in case u didn't hear Paul Warburg's precise dissection of the infamous vile attack on Zelen, this really reveals the falsity of JD/djt's tactics (and even that of a couple of 'reporters') and w/ clear eyes. Paul has serious skills!: https://youtu.be/QNHCzJqYb3U?si=kqkUfJK5NIOFdeJD Paul is very unique for YT bcuz of his methodical analyses of power, strategy, etc. And your mention of Elon is spot on. Elon & other flying monkeys including now JD in particular but also Djt in his waves of up/down like a bipolar, in recent days, all 'feeling influence' of Ru, lol, to use Zelen's brilliant short english phrase. Fact is that Zelen prevailed in that exchange w/ DJT and that is why he was kicked out of the WH, the first kick-out in known history, from we've been researching here in the U.S.! I am sooo very impressed with Zelenskyyy, (i mispell on purpose bcuz overlords are so stupid). DJT/jd play checkers or cards or chess somewhat and if we use an analogy of games just for symbolism, i think it's the game of Go, which Zelen is skilled at. i.e hard friggin game, THE hardest. . . It is my very humble opinion that though these weeks seem preposterously dark, mid april-ish may see some big stuff that is good by/for Ukr & the start of a process that unfolds and forces Ru into the tightest spot since the 1850's.

the cats at the front are hungry for prey, to finally have the systems etc to attack deeper /harder against the russiye. For 3 years i have yearned for this more than really anything in my own life now at midlife. I think i now entirely grasp why and how Ukr focused on not-young men as fighters, to create a highly professional successful army, even though that has many challenges obviously. But it's part of a both demographic idea, but also a psycho-socially strategic one where a particular level of cultural-knowledge, as well as the killer spirit (which over my life i've learned is a honed skill-instinct (hybrid) when it's seriously profound, it's not in-built really. The best killers (i.e truly steady, deep stomach for it, & pragmatic) become that way over time, over a decade or two or three of adult-life. The youngest can do it well, but too often with severe mind-impact & other social negative results later. And it's those older soldiers and commanders who have the disposition to deftly get the job done.... I know this might sound nebulous and i'm not good at explaining it at all, but everything i've learned in politics, history, and what my policy friends, and my anthro friends and my sociology friend and my criminology cousin has informed me of, over the decades, informs me this way. Ukr will be so effing lethal when they get (make some) a few of this and that types of weapons that they actually dn't yet have or dn't have nearly enough of so as to use a combined armed strategy in particular sub-theatres. I'm a liberal now, and i condemn the Biden Admin for early-on slow-walking of the adequate weapons when Ru had plainly shown genocidal intent. I will NEVER forgive him/team for that, EVER. It was inhumane, it was strategically dangerously dumb; it was a word that doens't exist in English,(i bet french has one for it!?) that combines shortsightedness with a form of timidity or cowardice, though admittedly it's really not as simple as that, i suppose!? ... But the issue, what now... I also sense that DJT's new hyper- aggressive & mercantilist policy is partly a form of reaction to Biden's hesitancy and apparently-escalation-fearful stance. Anyway, it appears to me that Ukr needs european and other allied partners to help it establish true defense capacity it really does not have, if protecting key assets is any measure. I still believe a mil intervention-threat by Europe and other allies including Turkey possibly, is wise. But i guess Turkey won't do it, ie be part of a private threat to Ru of an air-assault to secure a better secured /bigger area in the south. But an assault by outsiders isn't technically necessary: arming ukr to the teeth will get the job done at this stage.

Hello beautiful & bright! Yep, Saudi chosen, the land of extrajudicial killings, historically! (i know bcuz i had saudi foreign students living in my house long ago when i was a child here in the U.S., even had a Saudi princess here living in my family home). UKR for a number of reasons is one of few long term investable country (in eastern europe) by smart countries like South Korea, Japan, and other good ppl. Europe and others such as those will make a decision to get true support for Ukr so that a just peace is possible. The U.S. is literally out of control, as i've been learning every day now for three weeks. We left our own foreign service officers families without medical care in extremely poor countries and so far we have one hemmorage of the wife of an officer, bcuz medical-evacuation monies were denied from Feb 1-7, and bythe time the officer's Senator got special permission, it was too late, she hemoragged and could not fly! This is our america now, sadists who specifically cut off medical evacuation funds! It's unthinkable. That family had spent 50K on IVF/fertility treatments. the link: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1Du8kwcZ8D/

truly! I've heard about it before, bcuz i'm somewhat steeped in the topic here in north america, and recent year or two of native american tv programming and general canadian tv programming has stunning dramas depicting native characters and namely entirely native stories, namely of the child separations, and the schools. Even for me who's studied genocide formally and seen its aftermath up close & personal, i've had to sometimes stop watching and resume later, just to make it through. I'm an american and take personal meaning & duty visavis native life issues, even though they are legally 'sovereign' here, so we regular folks have very limited opportunity to interact much (a topic i've even mentioned to a couple of native guys). Vlad is so right about everything, as is Anna, always. Together they're a tour de'force of mind power and spirit, like i've never seen.

We love you both, deeply, and are so appreciative of your brutally hard work, day in, day out!!!! Jonathan, u are damned right about my country's admin, namely Biden himself, indeed, weak, and he has a history of it, it's been a part of the american center/left for a long time unfortunately. And yes, i also agree that Biden has been deeply immoral, even with the pushback and supposed risks from the rightwing here in the U.S. visavis his Ukr policy. What i also fault him and the WH w/ is there's been seemingly no transparency or no stated policies really, toward Ru or Ukr. No red lines, no pink lines, nothing really. I'm a liberal and that silence makes me deeply angry. As for DJT coming onto the scene, i'm very doubtful of competence, but we shall see.
2
-
As for what DJT said, nothing really triggered me though it's pathetically low quality when speaking about WW2 for him to have used Russia instead of 'soviet' or 'ussr'. So that probably shows DJT's inherent own imperial /ethnic biases. Afterall it was obvious how negative he felt re Ukr a few years ago while very deferential if not positive to Putin/russia. I personally think DJT will be strongly guided by someone who's fairly smart-ish or smart enough re Ru/Ukr, but i really do think he's hard to estimate bcuz he's both a bully but also passive toward particular types of phenomena which is how he sees Putin, ie as a powerful phenom. I do unfortunately sense that both Biden/sullivan and DJT are overly fearful of Putin & team. Here in the U.S. at the moment, what with the past two days of major events here w/ the pardoning of not just insurrectionists, but attempted murders among them, it's hard for me to think entirely clearly of what DJT is really like and how that could relate to his Ukr stance. ....that said, if i were Zelenskyy, i'd make a big alternative plan if possible, in case DJT does stupid stuff. Also i'd get cracking on developing not just nuke weapons, but other types of WMD (& yes i think it's truly terrible & for more than one reason) bcuz the reality is the weapons actually needed for this frontline are those which can take out as many soldiers as possible, and efficiently. That's what Ru's thermobaric terrible bombs are about, and frankly Ukr may need to develop something like that, bcuz otherwise the fight is ridiculously unfair, lopsided and really severely so. Ru has all these terrible weapons and Ukr has normal weapons. For those interested in warfare details of this war, Perun is very excellent.

Thank u for mentioning that many ppl are equating the parties as if they both have validity & full agency ( & its included will-power) Only Ukr has that, as the attacked party. From day one of this catastrophic war of hyper-aggression (catastrophic in sense of intentional sadism against civilians, as well as david/goliath ratios of mil.) .... .. ....The way your voice says that town name, Rylsk, is like a form of art itself, i exaggerate not even slightly. That really IS art, from the ear/brain of me, a native English speaker, honestly never heard a word like that said with such precision & i've listened carefully all my life, including when trying to repeat pronounce foreign words simply for the mental exercise (german lately which is quite brutal for me) ....Thank you for your incredible work and attention to detail, and all while being so diplomatically gracious, that you may be the ultimate diplomat, of all. (!! i had not even watched to the end when i wrote this a few min's ago saying u r the ultimate diplo!!, congrats on being honored as ambassador for your beautiful city of Lutsk!) Amazing how the timing and confluence of thoughts occur, we're all on the same page! ) ... ...As for 'global values', i guess the term 'humanist values' may be necessary, and then 'global humanist'? I dunno exactly your intention. Indeed, it's not about fashion but the essence of life! I will check on our Rubio now, a person i've been very worried about of course. He's always been a mediocre & most importantly wishy-washy (equivocating) type -- XXX

@Gregoryking-e9q indeed i concur, and i'm a yank myself. A dark day here, where a technically illegal president is 'assuming the role of president', is technically the legal reality. I.e it's not real, he has 'assumed' the role, but legally he is not the president bcuz he's disqualified AND Congress didn't vote to counter that fact, which they could have tried to, but there aren't enough DJT supporters in Congress to do that vote (would take 2/3's in favor to do so). U can see these basic facts, all real and valid. on channels like Jessica Denson here on YT, attorney she is, brilliant and i think from the conservative realm! She even worked for DJT iirc! Many many former DJT workers turned against him in massive ways and have put in heroic efforts to truly fight against him. We are utterly mortified and humiliated as a nation on earth, by today's disgusting trashy entrance of him into 'power'. He's so weak, with his rebuking of Biden's policies today-- loser technique by DJT, as usual DJT cannot play political checkers let alone chess (the two games). For those who want to understand the basic legal aspect of how DJT isn't technically president, attorney's like Lawrence Tribe, Jessica Denson, explain well. Some orders/laws issued by DJT can and will be legaly challenged in court on the basis of that law, ie 3rd article of the 14th Ammendment (bcuz 3 court cases demonstrated he had supported insurrection).

@MyK9dog correct: simply the response after 2014 by all interested outside parties was very very weak sauce. It was clear that Ru had carefully slowly ratcheted up its general interference & aggression over the long haul of time. It was right then that the U.S. & key other allies from anywhere in the world could have actively undermined Ru operations. Instead they allowed time to pass which allowed Ru to re-think it's approach in a more succesful way, which ended up going big or go home. So big that that it did become very difficult for something like a US full military response (reality of this is top secret obviously, for all we know, and imho, it WAS possible for Biden to start a three week operation that would have stopped ru in its tracks some time in 2022.). But now we must prepare for war, quite clearly, as seen in the style of this May 9 celebration in Muscovy, which absolutely had a powerful China as a co-creator almost of everything that is Ru now. Remember, it's the Chinese who were always the most serious students in numbers. Imho, they dwarf Russia in most regards, in so very many important ways. Together, they are insidiously dangerous. Nipping the duo in the bud now is crucial for the continued existence of western civilization itself, aka the civ that formally founded principles of rule-of-law, which then wrought ethics, etc.

seventeen years ago RU was playing hard games re gas for eastern europe, namely SK, perhaps CZ as well and Aus. That harassment and making ppl's personal budgets and how warm they'd feel in winter, has psyop effects. It worked unfortunately, with enough of these block-headed/minded ppl in SK, that they have weird politics now. CZ is very different culture and yet their politics are increasingly extreme. It's global, many countries have extremists of the RWing now, namely DE, HU, some in Italy and Netherlands, and of course my own U.S.

Yes, Ukr is not a small nation in any sense: size, population, educated population, and brain-trust of core industrial capabilities especially crucial military tech that the west also uses, e.g. UKR is one of only six nations with ability to produce fighter jet engines. Aerospace at the highest level, on par w/ american and key european space technology mfr's. My president DJT is the most foolish leader of all time for a powerful nation, he is now seen by our own conservatives (which i'm not btw) as having sold out Ukraine after Ukr has valiantly withstood the actual torture of civilians en masse, half of entire cities tortured, like Kherson, sexual sadistic torture with murder, etc. DJT and his very strange team have humiliated the nation, and european nations, and Ukraine in a sense, though Ukraine is the only party who ends up technically not humiliated but the opposite, the only logical and noble party in the mix. This is truly an historic moment, which imho, from a political sci and anthropology angle, is possibly once every 150-300 years type. Like you Anna, i think the situation there will revert to relatively normal where Pootin will be seen for the dangerous element he/ru is/are. There will be several parties worldwide who will come to Ukr's aid at this time, ie within weeks. That's my suspicion.

yes we can! Btw, random perhaps but today is first time i recall that my suggested vid list left yours out for extra hours, and i'm displeased at YT /algo whatnot wrt that. It had gotten so good and efficient in later weeks/months recently but now back to its bad ways. I seek your channel out anyway but algo's matter obviously. I am not surprised u voted for the far more experienced politician in '19, i'd have done the same actually, partly bcuz Zelen also had entertainment background , which necessarily had a lot of russian cultural connections, in some sense, albeit for commercial reasons. Also, since a couple yrs ago i'm also familiar w/ the early criticism of his admin from quite liberal ppl in Ukr. He performed seemingly very very well indeed and to me, as a pretty deep student of political history of past century or two, his thinking and communication skill is truly remarkable. It balances humility with other traits necessary including the usual's like stolidness. His authenticity is palpable, even considering he's an actor, which of course helps him, perhaps. Btw, i really like your female parliamentarians such as Rudik and Sovsun!!

yes, Zelen does not appear to have anything to apologize for: he did not raise his voice, he thus deferred gently by repeating his question 'what are you talking/(about)' while DJT kept repeating his 'cards' irrelevant bombast and ww3 untrue , nonsense at this point in the battle (the odds of a greater war now are sooo small actually, particularly a significant sized war or one involving WMD/nukes, is so very tiny in the probability-spread. That's Ru disinfo. In fact at this point probably, if a coalition including air power attacked ru positions at Kherson and Zapo, etc, the ru's would not be able to do much including anything directly against the western nations and probably would reduce their bombing of Ukr, imho. Ru cannot afford to use a nuke, not one. ( i believe this bcuz i studied for decades about high-stakes international politics/war and the physical details, the technology and science that relates to the use of WMD's).

As an american, i'm not quite sure about WH lifting sanctions but from a risk angle, we have to expect it of course. ///edit////: just listened to JonFink wrt Witkoff, and i'm not the best psychologist/strategist, but given the horrific trash out of his mouth, i am seriously worried about both sanctions and other matters, such as, in theory, US possibly hindering europe from potential airpower operations they may be planning. Absolutely i think we're at red-alert level on U.S. foreign policy and a defacto total contravention of Ukr's interests, although i do realize that many mediocre ppl are not skilled at diplomacy so perhaps it's partly just that w/ such an incredibly seemingly ridiculously overly Ru-friendly tone by Witkoff..... That said, the polls here in the U.S. show quite a bit of public support for supporting Ukr, so we'll see. But imho, given how dictatorial the WH has been in every sphere, they'll do whatever they want for short /med term gains that they don't even understand. E.g. Ru's potential energy exports (witkoff mentioned possible US/Ru joint!) don't benefit the U.S. or Europe given the malice shown by Ru in the past three years, with actual war actions taken against Europe, technically, since around '15. .....///
So, yes it's reasonable for Ukr to be anxious that that could happen and soon, given the strange dark behavior and ideological framework apparent in the WH's overall policies on everything from domestic draconian undermining of basic legal ethics (they are trying to bankrupt any lawfirms that do biz w/ gvt, and same wrt Uni's, WH is saying that if uni's like my alma mater G.U. don't drop DEI policies, then there will be internships or hiring from such uni's! I'ts right out of a dictatorship, and nothing like this has ever happened in U.S. history of course. And this isn't even the most unethical details. Other bigger ones are internal to Dept of Justice, where attorney's are being told to do unethical things and they're resigning instead of doing those things. So, domestic and foreign attitudes of WH, do mean to me that this WH may lift sanctions soon on RU. When u see how bold Orban sounds in the Eu context, i smell something possibly bad coming soon. But i also have faith in the counter-measures.

earth/america to Eric: u appear to not be aware of how humans operate. When a person does and says what DJT has since five years ago till today, there is no doubt he's not a person of reason, but is actually a fairly good negotiator usually, which is why this situation looks dark and actually evil, bcuz its plainly a-moral/indifferent and thus has sided with being neutral toward sadists, the Ru's (who e.g. tortured half the civilian population of Kherson city, as one small example of what they do to ppl who will not submit to Ru rules, relinquish Ukr idenity, women refusing to date the officers/soldiers etc). DJT has never in his life been fair with ppl, and he personalizes everything so UKR the country is like a person to him, a heroic open-hearted, ferocious brave warrior (i'm a middle aged man and i can promise u he is a physical coward, the really shit kind too!). You may be somewhat trying to rationalize that we Yanks are seeing actual fascism rising since '16 and it's not trying to take as much control as it can, over free-souls/types of ppl, in the US and in Ukr. This will not end well, i am pretty sure. And i spent maybe most of 25 years studying about international politics, trade, diplomacy, warfare, secret ops, general-history, and especially war history of course; along with the supporting aspects: psychology, economics, behavioral sci's, neuropsychiatry and game-theory. DJT has just shot himself in the stomach, ie a very dangerous situation for him/his regime/ his types of thinkers and doers.

hello beautiful Anna! Thank u so much for your many videos past few days! During hard times for many, it's been so good to keep hearing about this and that and the other places/things getting nailed in Ru by Ukr assets, though of course notwithstanding the very sad losses and terrorizing of your noble people. Btw, as an american i finally realized part of how familiar your particular intonations etc are to me, and it's bcuz the classic new york accent, ie stronger NY accent is mainly an eastern european influenced accent, including yiddish, but also containing all of the eastern block including Ukrainians. How much italian influence i'm not exactly clear. This topic is actually studied of course. My mother was born in suburan NJ not far from the city, at the start of WW2, and was deeply intelligent and became an english language professor, and literature. //// Yes, a word for ultra surprising could be 'stunned', 'shocked', though i'il think of others. That amount of almost $1B /day for ru to attack Ukr, is surprising to most ppl: war is classically so expensive that it was self-limiting through-out history: to me, that's part of why this particular war is very strange, very psychotic and signals a cabal/elite of Ru's who are very twisted dark ppl (imho, it's possibly part of why the Biden admin didn't stand up to Ru appropriately right before the war, when US withdrew its ship from the Black Sea). So to me, Ru sees cash flow in the future as almost guaranteed bcuz it's from gas/oil (even though it's very possible to stop their oil in particular IF particular parties actually stop the export (bcuz then the pipes systems get messed up naturally pretty quickly and in one winter that can cause trillions of damage that take decades to repair (this is the achilles heel of oil pipeline/pumping tech, which btw, only a few countries have the know-how to fix, and RU is not one of them).

i am so sorry you lost your mother at all , let alone during this historic war of aggression...my deepest condolences to you.....i will pray for her, as well as you, and Ukraine, even though i'm not exactly a believer in 'god', even though i was raised Catholic & was even head altar server then at my school's church, have had 3-4 near death experiences & went to a Jesuit uni. - I didn't watch any of inauguration and never do usually anyway, but especially not this time bcuz DJT isn't even technically legally the President ,bcuz of the 14th ammendment issue (which atty's like Lawrence Tribe explain well, but also the Joyce Vance, Jessica Denson (YT channel she has). That's actually a tough question about Melamia's (intentional spelling) hat. Her hat in this case possibly was to avoid a kiss, but i kinda doubt it somehow bcuz she was more positive with a genuine smile on election victory night than i've ever seen her, and that genuine pleasure made me realize she was the real enemy, as in literally the true enemy of my people/nation, as is her 'husband'. But in all seriousness, personally i think she didnt want ppl to see her eyes, bcuz she's 'too cool', too above us all... or possibly some shame. But really, i guess shame isn't likely it with a mind like hers (i have personally known ppl like her unfortunately), ie. she's basically the type of personality that we cannot imagine a real person being, ie insipid to the extreme, as if trying to make 'insipid' a legitimate personality type. But she's real! lol I love ppl of any intellect, even the lowest! I have known a couple such ppl. I am not loathing her intellect, only her persona. Of course DJT is more repulsive in a fundamental sense, but it's fair to blame her for a high percentage of the damage DJT has already done to the only nation which had had the longest period (240ish years) in history of uninterrupted peaceful transfers of power until 2020. I and many other yanks will not ever forgive him for that, and there will still be consequences for either him or others who made it all possible. That i am sure of. (men like me have known or associated w/ some attorneys, and policy types etc, so i dn't speak with total ignorance or random thoughts on such political-legal matters). Long ago i was a student in that realm, in D.C. even.

So happy to see you today on this solemn day, which someday will be a differnt sort of day for sure, when this is all over and ru is literally contained. As an american i am so sorry to you all, we have a history of mediocrity actually, wrt military affairs, wars, etc. This is a fact when u look at the big efforts after the 1950's. Though we tried hard, the management of how Vietnam ended, and then even perhaps how '91 Iraq ended,i.e perhaps unfinished in key ways, and then DJT negotiated with the godam Taliban to end Afgan operations (literally keeping out the western-sponsored leaders). Our mediocrity has now popped up in grand fashion toward you now, in a humiliating (to everyone, but esp to ourselves it appears), fashion. It is so grotesque, pathetic, demented, and repugnant, to most of us, AND i suspect it will harm the new ultra-RW here tremendously. Ukr must develop special weapons including WMD imho while also working with Europe and other good folks globally. (and yes, i agree that perhaps one of the destinies for Ukr is to help countermand the dangers of the phenom of DJT/trumpism, which is a classic 'know-nothing' anti-intellectual neo-reactionary proto-fascist movement (even self defined that way!, though with even darker under and over tones).

yes! Anna, it is JUST like Orwell where suddenly up is down, and the US won't call Ru an agressor when it's the worst aggressor in late-modern european history since 'the war', ie ww2, which i want to remind younger ppl was not just a big war or series or combo of big wars, it was something totally different from a combo and from all historic wars before it (anthropologists and sociologists and historians all get into the details of that type of framing) bcuz of the mass atrocities involved which were very personal, namely in eastern europe unfortunately but also elsewhere in europe, and asia of course. Point being the word 'war' doesn't actually describe WW2 accurately, it was infinitely worse in quality and quantity than prior wars including esp. ww1. .... Anyway, Ru is the type of nation that creates that type of warfare, ie genocidal, personal, etc, and if allowed without any containment, 'total' warfare. .....DJT's ratings have dropped precipitously, with three polls just taken showing mid to low 40's iirc, which is a dramatic drop historically statistically. .....Anyway some key ppl here in the US have called out DJT's nonsense stmts wrt Ukr/ru, including some GOP politicians and Pence himself, in one of the most accurate poignant slams DJT has ever gotten by someone important. I think having paramilitary thugs almost kill him ,and even secret service agents try to get him to go to the wrong place where he'd possibly be killed, finally woke him up over time. Keep in mind we have literally no historical precedents for severe political violence of any type, let alone what we saw on Jan6 2020. We have actually been traumatized ever since bcuz there was no resolution really, since there was no public announcements of any findings about who were the masterminds etc. In fact, transparency and timidity of Biden Admin from talking openly about anything important (Ukr or domestic security) was a real problem during most of the past 4 years. Normal american politics includes much more communication to the public. Imho even just a few speeches would have made the difference ,and i believe dem's lost due to that. Ie basic stuff

we americans, including centrists & liberal-leaning, but also i'm sure many conservatives, adore you & even love you
Anna, and we're mortified about the pathetic portrayals that DJT and Hegseth showed recently. Our darkest days in international affairs ever ,by definition of course. Most of us who are middle aged/older hold Ru harmful and we don't want DJT to withdraw support as it already has w/ Usaid funds (most of daily monies of it were funding crucial Ukr entities, i just learned from the great Michael Bociurkiw, diplomat extraordinaire, who lives in Ukr) Those monies were funding things such as de-mining, & many other vital necessities). We will push our gvt yet harder to resume assisting Ukr and to assist suddenly much more so that its in a better position for negotiations. I apologize for the imperious disrespectful tone & methods that DJT personally used. He is absolutely unamerican and has betrayed not just you noble people, but the entire 250 years of our reputation. (it is very humiliating for most of us including many very conservative ppl, btw who are speaking daily in public about the sheer madness & theatre that DJT/team is showing to us domestically and now internationally w/ the Putin interactions)

bingo bango, u nailed it well! Indeed. Though as for ability to change anything, that remains to be seen, as ti's a brand new five week old situation now in the courts with dozens of cases, and a ton of resistance by relevant parties is happening daily including those malligned unfairly and grotesquely by the Admin. (the Administration means the WH/DJT, for those who dunno our lingo) So, actually, no, the american system has always been quite reliant on the population to protest when things swing wildly out of hand, along with courts of course. It's how Vietnam ended, purely by popular opinion turning with the only visible and audible folks being very very against the war.
Same w/ civil rights, which only happened after ppl protested nonviolently and were violently attacked for it. Only then, did the president get moving.

@rauths probably yes he was already doomed, but it's actually pretty unclear w/ a society like that, which was so skillfully kept down for all of modernity, approx 100 ish years or 130 or 150 years which finally had a small middle class that was comfortable relative the past. That sort of powerstructure can go on a long time, very long when it's a resource rich country like Ru truly is, diverse mineral and petro. So it's hard to say. I need to read more about the basics to have a valid opininion though, including some by Ms. Paine, who is really phenomenal in strategy/history. But basically after learning a lot these past three years via Silicon Curtain and its guests, and various articles and books; and being middle aged and a mere 13/14 (1983) when Ru reached its peak threat including bonafide nuclear threat (unlike today which is not an actual nuke threat bcuz of two factors: Ru lacks ability to operate even remotely near a nuked zone, due to not having the Ussr's updated equipment, know-how, etc, but namely it's too costly to do so, and the damages and uselessness of land thereafter and inabilty to get Ru's to migrate to such new areas, e.g. in Ukr after would be nuked, etc etc);;; And the time factor, i.e the nuke threat tween Ussr /US was a phenom that holds far far less water than during the Cold War when there was actually a longstanding legitimate struggle which stemmed from WW2 itself, i.e that war didn't end until the 1989-1994 period.

@osmoakselitanninen3420 Ru will win nothing ultimately. They will not have much of an economy in the future peace-time and later-on they will be contained firmly which likely will take partial demilitarization. Ppl globally at the moment are in a delusional historic moment, related to the new RW populism that is menacing some socieites including the US primarily. This is clouding judgement. DJT /team is quite literally incompetent, as any analyst, mil high level officer, intell officer, diplomat, criminologist ,or any other pro can explain. Pure incompetence in dealing w/ Putin and other affairs, including domestic, such as shutting down USAID, when most of that money was funding Ukr safety and survival. Madness and sadistic cruelty probably intentional by DJT who loathes Zelenskyy who defied his superpower power when asked to dig for dirt on Biden in '19
