damned straight, ie that's right. Anna is truly a beacon..and has the noble qualities & sheer intellect to prevail. She also has the ineffable combo of ferocious strength and that of the genteel and noble. There's only a few ppl who are like that, in the world. Imho, i think Ukr will prevail strongly, and it's mostly bcuz of the ppl's spirit /character, but also the Ukr personality, which many of us have always known was one of the firmest on the planet.

@melissabruhn1429 yes it is! Past few weeks i've had a strange good sense coming from Ukr and elsewhere.... we shall see. We yanks at least will push our leadership as hard as possible on supporting Ukr. I'm writing a long email to the DJT WH even tho i expect it will fall on deaf ears, but it'll be a long email like i've never written even a friend!!!!!!!! and i went to the elite program for international affairs long ago, so maybe a tiny bit extra influence, lol.

yes. Coincidentally i just spent a few hours today and yesterday listening to professor Sally Paine (the big cheese strategist instructor for the US military (naval war college) who is one of the deepest experts on earth about russian anything, as well as chinese anything, and even japanese. Anna would love her probably too bcuz Paine learned russian chinese and japanese writing so she could do original archival research. We yanks have had THE worst language abilities of any nation actually , so she stands out, bigtime! And here in this final three min's of this vid she pulls no punch when she says plainly that if DJT had been president recently, RU would now be at Nato's border (i guess she means on Ukr western border!) yeah. The real issue that DJT has liked the minds of ppl like Tulsi Gabbard who has absolutely wrong ideas about the key issues in international affairs, law, etc. I'm very concerned, but i also know that the europeans have known we might have DJT coming back into power and have known that risk for 8 years now. If the europeans have played chess correctly, THEY have a contingency plan, even though i realize that's not a easy thing at all.

@Gregoryking-e9q indeed i concur, and i'm a yank myself. A dark day here, where a technically illegal president is 'assuming the role of president', is technically the legal reality. I.e it's not real, he has 'assumed' the role, but legally he is not the president bcuz he's disqualified AND Congress didn't vote to counter that fact, which they could have tried to, but there aren't enough DJT supporters in Congress to do that vote (would take 2/3's in favor to do so). U can see these basic facts, all real and valid. on channels like Jessica Denson here on YT, attorney she is, brilliant and i think from the conservative realm! She even worked for DJT iirc! Many many former DJT workers turned against him in massive ways and have put in heroic efforts to truly fight against him. We are utterly mortified and humiliated as a nation on earth, by today's disgusting trashy entrance of him into 'power'. He's so weak, with his rebuking of Biden's policies today-- loser technique by DJT, as usual DJT cannot play political checkers let alone chess (the two games). For those who want to understand the basic legal aspect of how DJT isn't technically president, attorney's like Lawrence Tribe, Jessica Denson, explain well. Some orders/laws issued by DJT can and will be legaly challenged in court on the basis of that law, ie 3rd article of the 14th Ammendment (bcuz 3 court cases demonstrated he had supported insurrection).

Imho, the reality is that a U.S. sponsored or brokered peace deal is only legitimate IF DJT is truly willing to ultimately (later on) make military moves against Ru forces (and i'm quite dubious that he's willing to). Otoh if he isn't truly willing then it's still possible he can bluff during this 'negotiation'. This is real deal diplomacy that he may or may not be a good instrument for, pretty difficult to say even for me who has met one of the most important diplomats of the 20th century, one who dealt w/ the former Yugo settlement.

i've known women like Mela for a long long time in a similar marriage, though without age discrepancy. Though she may be smart to an extent (probably limited tbph), there's nothing strong about her. I've seen this type of woman up close and personal. To me it's tremendously weak to be a seemingly 'neutral' person re the most fundamental aspects of our existence: e.g. she has had views of a socially-normal-in-america sort re abortion: yet she remained supportive of her husband and genuinely smiled when he won on election night. Many of us have known phony ppl, they are common. She is common in all the ways that matter, negatively.

@PhilipPage-d4c zactly what i was wondering... I've known ppl like her and they can be hard to read bcuz their depth is so shallow that oftentimes we just can't imagine it or relate to it.

same here re all. DJT is clearly not the people's president, for more than one reason. One is simple, he's not technically legally president, per the basic requirement of the 14th ammendment, which makes clear that the only way he could be legal president is if Congress voted to countermand the 14th. They can't bcuz too many Dem's in congress who would not, since it's clear that he supported insurrection (clear bcuz three court cases handled it, so it's also legally clear, i.e already demonstrated by way of adjudicated cases that did not refute the detail of him supporting insurrection). This is not complicated for even ppl of limited mental capacity, i think!

i am so sorry you lost your mother at all , let alone during this historic war of aggression...my deepest condolences to you.....i will pray for her, as well as you, and Ukraine, even though i'm not exactly a believer in 'god', even though i was raised Catholic & was even head altar server then at my school's church, have had 3-4 near death experiences & went to a Jesuit uni. - I didn't watch any of inauguration and never do usually anyway, but especially not this time bcuz DJT isn't even technically legally the President ,bcuz of the 14th ammendment issue (which atty's like Lawrence Tribe explain well, but also the Joyce Vance, Jessica Denson (YT channel she has). That's actually a tough question about Melamia's (intentional spelling) hat. Her hat in this case possibly was to avoid a kiss, but i kinda doubt it somehow bcuz she was more positive with a genuine smile on election victory night than i've ever seen her, and that genuine pleasure made me realize she was the real enemy, as in literally the true enemy of my people/nation, as is her 'husband'. But in all seriousness, personally i think she didnt want ppl to see her eyes, bcuz she's 'too cool', too above us all... or possibly some shame. But really, i guess shame isn't likely it with a mind like hers (i have personally known ppl like her unfortunately), ie. she's basically the type of personality that we cannot imagine a real person being, ie insipid to the extreme, as if trying to make 'insipid' a legitimate personality type. But she's real! lol I love ppl of any intellect, even the lowest! I have known a couple such ppl. I am not loathing her intellect, only her persona. Of course DJT is more repulsive in a fundamental sense, but it's fair to blame her for a high percentage of the damage DJT has already done to the only nation which had had the longest period (240ish years) in history of uninterrupted peaceful transfers of power until 2020. I and many other yanks will not ever forgive him for that, and there will still be consequences for either him or others who made it all possible. That i am sure of. (men like me have known or associated w/ some attorneys, and policy types etc, so i dn't speak with total ignorance or random thoughts on such political-legal matters). Long ago i was a student in that realm, in D.C. even.

@AnnafromUkraine serious about maybe some of the three, but mostly it's likely a way to talk about the roles the nations are playing, including visavis china in the case of Panama Canal. The problem is it's a sign of weakness bcuz such issues are literally never spoken about in that manner, ie rudely, by a powerful nation. It is the first time in U.S. history that weaknes has thus been shown. When u couple that with the 2018 Helsinki press conference w/ Putin & DJT where DJT showed clear deference in no uncertain terms, it's a veeery very bad image for the U.S. Historically over the ages, leaders like DJT are not popular. It makes us really wonder what is truly happening overall and it certainly gives credence to the intell communities' (euro and american) pointing out that social media AND other media (e.g. Tenet media ,extreme RW sources) have been hijacked by the only deeply richly skilled propagandists on the planet ,Ru and Chi, who are that way bcuz of their history.

i don't feel sorry for Melamia: i've very personally known ppl like her, including a woman in a marriage that is probably psychologically similar. Feeling sorry for ppl who are so almost unimaginably shallow or superficial and/or weak-minded doesn't really make sense. I know this bcuz i'm middle aged and watched every detail of a 24 years long marriage. Trust me, u needn't feel a thing for those like Melam.
