there's been talk of this since two year ago. But what is known for sure is the basic illogic of Ru using a single nuke, let alone more than one, or WMD of other types ie chem weapons. Basically there is no practical use for them. To get a big impact on Ukr military, the size needed of one would have to be maaaasive, or several of them would have to be used at once. But if they did that, they know the US would immediatley start a conventional weaponry campaign rapidly depleting the entire western Russian force /conventional weapons/military system. That is what Biden promised Ru, and Ru cannot do anything back to us about it, bcuz they lack equivalency of power w/ us. And they're not suicidal re wanting to die in a nuke holocaust (in fact, no human groups are suicidal en masse like that probably, not even the Persians! Nukes are a menace weapon, they have no practical use as Ru is clearly demonstrating in very obvious ways over the past 900 days.

@LenQuerido yes, many russians who care about their lives literally, or at least their future economics, should try to stop this war asap, bcuz they are on a track of russian dissolution literally, bcuz the pressures that have been put on the rest of CIS states are going to start backfiring in comphensive ways and the elite of RU will end up trying to leave RU or establish warlord fiefdoms of small size. That will destroy massive amount of econ stability and quality of life, russia will revert to literally 19th century economic levels , yes literally. Most westerners have no concept of what russia is like economically /socially.

wonderful u were there before the war. In the future u may return and see transformation u never imagined possible on earth, positive and negative. You're young so what u already know is that this 'war' is teaching all ppl on earth that the classic human frailties of ignorance, apathy, low-mentality (lack of moral values/codes), create a level of corrupt ignorance societies which then try to increase their power through medieval motives and means including actual depraved sadistic level actions, like Ru's personnel tortured around half of the populaion of the big city of Kherson! These levels of extreme efforts of barbarism, over many months, are actually pretty rare in history. Ru is the real deal, they have become literally evil, and most westerners still do not understand that fact, or what it means.

russians as well as most ppl on earth , when in hierarchical groups like miltaries, which are part of countries in flux, within autocracies like Ru, will not use nukes, bcuz the commanders who are responsible for orders would likely disobey orders from the gvt/Pu-Tin (though it's also extremely unlikely Putin would order nuke use). This is bcuz the commanders are not suicidal, they are human beings who had a good enough life and have no desire to die long with their familes and make the land uninhabiable for years and decades, especially in Ru where domestic food production is quite limited. Your ideas of panic bear no resemblance to any military or even political structure in most countries on earth.

not likely re the nukes not being mentioned. They can't use the threat anymore bcuz it has lost its meaning since they know there is no practical way to use them. One or a few is not enough to make enough damage to Ukr troops to be worth the negative response from the US airforce/navy which Biden has assured Ru will immediately start conventional destruction of Ru's conventional military system. Ru has no ability to successfuly defend itself against such an attack. And ru is not suicidal, and in fact no military on earth probably, even Iran's , would use nukes in a way that would assure it's own destruction. Nukes for RU are not practical to use. Ru has disadvantages in several military domains to an extent it has very limited chances against the US let alone Nato. Ru since 1850 crimean war has made mistake after mistake in such incredibly significant ways and scale, that its beggars belief. Fascinating
