@davidvicari5139 exactly right--and even some of the 'best' quality engines made by Bmw and MB, have timing chains that can need replacement as early as 125Kmiles, in 6 cyl engines, even less in their 4cyl's. Many delusions among car owners who actually are more accustomed to timing belt cars, since timing chains have only come back in the past 10 or so years.
