  3. wonderful interview! Elina is sooo impressive! And she is right, you Jonathan have been, i think THE voice for Ukraine during most of this historic attack on civilization and on a ppl who didn't have anything like adequate defenses to start with but made do (many ppl dn' t realize that the first four months saw NO western military assistance to speak of, for any number of reasons). Thank you Jonathan, and i hope u take close care of you and yours, bcuz the elements of darkness from the Ru, certainly have your number, so to speak. If i were you, i'd have my head on swivel. (means be very aware of surroundings). Hate to make life unpleasant or tense, but if i were you, i'd only be relaxed if i did the things like vary routes frequently, etc.

  4. i love also his final point that when there is a particularly difficult cycle in Ru internal politics, then the results for the west are often terrible and ultra costly, i'd term it, such as the Cold War, as he mentions. We neeeeed to start spending NOW, in all Nato countries. This is the real deal , we must be prepped for the '30s timeframe, at least.

  6. here in the U.S. in the past decade we've been plagued with sooo many bad quality dangerous counterfeit car parts namely plugs, and timing belt kits, including for honda v6 engines in particular. These engine damaging products (esp the timing belt tensioners!) are rampant on Amazon, Ebay and elsewhere. It's been a plague, truly, and the US gvt does nothing to keep such chinese counterfeit trash out of our supply chain!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Hi Jonathan: wonderful to have Foreman on again!!!! Btw, wrt the trucks purchases, noticed that there's one particular seeming good or fair deal for one that fits those years/brackets and is not high miles and was like 12K GBP. I know of him purely bcuz of YT, he has channel. His outfit is called High Peak Autos. Only honest car dealer i've ever known of in my entire life, and he mostly only has very good vehicles. I mention this bcuz of the pricing on trucks which might be higher from a typical venue or seller, dunno exactly, but that particular truck i believe is a really smart deal, it's a Mitsu. btw.

Thank u dear Anna for sharing with us all on this Sunday and brightening our day, one of the darkest Sundays on the planet, in ages, it seems, perhaps darkest in the late modern period of history tbph. We westerners will still not stop trying to truly help your country get through this onslaught intact and with a bright future, bcuz you deserve it, and it's logical. Btw, the color of your eyes was visible somewhat even to me, even though i'm a bit color blind, so i don't know the color exactly, but i could see a blended color perhaps, very beautiful color & perfect with your gorgeous face. Your narrative style is also gorgeous, the kind and gracious manner and attitude, and your voice quality is so smooth, and with a professional and gentle manner. You're a true master of humanity, and a great warrior.(!) (as an american who is not young, it's severely shameful and humiliating to us normal citizens that our leadership behaved in the unacceptable and rude manner (way worse than rude really of course, given how much Ukr has suffered including civilians) they did in Europe this week. I apologize to you and your dear ones on our american national behalf. We are extremely unhappy and repulsed by our Admin's behavior to you, and it's happening within a context of their causing an actual constitutional crisis here while they have been doing nontransparent stoppages and interference in government functions and systems etc, as u know, and most importantly technically is that they're doing it non transparently, so that when our attorneys try to stop them in court, the judges have no information on what the new analysts (DOGE) are doing, so they can't determine the legality quickly. This was all done by the WH by design so that courts would have no way to thwart them, since legal processes require facts about who/what/when/where. So, we're sorry that for the first time in 230 years of order, we've been thrown into disorder, which is part of this whole disgusting situation which lead to the apparent abandonment of Ukr at its best spot yet for victory, imho (due to both oil hits and Kursk, among other things that amount to a form of momentum). We are sorry, as the ppl, and thus the sovereign/s (holding ultimate power) that our president has assumed illegal power over our gvt, as if he has sovereign power, and so is willing/able to go against the main zeitgeist of all past US foreign policies, goals & values wrt Ukraine & other nations like Canada in particular which is becoming a major issue, unbelievably. (i've seen legitimate mil intell indications that the DJT Admin ppl r seriously considering subterfuge against Canada, which is of course patently unacceptable to most americans. So, we DO have a situation over here right now which is causing a form of distraction, to put it mildly). Again, we're sorry. Today i saw FB posts of a Ukr friend of mine who posted a short description about and copy of a letter that a Cambodian general wrote to the chief US diplomat who'd offered him rescue from the onslaught that the literally psychotic Khmer Rouge were carrying out, though the general had wanted US gvt/military intervention to prevent Khmer Rouge from taking total control of the nation. The letter is very short and very very profound, and he turns down the offer of personal rescue bcuz it is cowardly in his eyes and bcuz he is so surprised and disappointed that the U.S. did not assist the nation itself more. The letter also diplomatically and subtlely shames the U.S. and even may have other subtext subtlety that is hard to speculate on. It is a brilliant testimony of a leader of a military, who knows he'll be murdered when the crazed enemy arrives, which of course happens. I'll send u a link somehow.

I am so sorry we americans imploded psycho-socially and then abused Ukr in insidious disgusting ways (some of which we probably never seen in public and that Ukr's gvt cant publicize bcuz it would make it worse!). Such a dark moment in late modern history and you and your truly noble people are the nation that is bearing the brunt and is now literally representing civilization itself.   17. couldn't agree more! great analogies! And the Kursk situation really is fascinating and a tremendously bad sign at this extended time frame, for Russian overall military capabilities. Imho, Ru seems to be so slow at learning how to fight in particular formats, that it took them two years to start to do better in the main area, i.e Donetsk. It simply takes them too long overall.

  19. wonder what u like for a coolant/antifreeze change interval? the HOAT type is supposedly ok for 150K and up to 15 yrs, but i'm guessing under 10 yrs and even more like 5 is smarter. Obviously if timing belt then can be done at same time.

  20. oh wow Anna, I didn't realize you're a linguist! I absolutely loved Intro. to Linguistics I took long ago, by a visiting professor from Korea. It was truly mind-/mode-altering for me, and I'd have majored in it or Geography, but at the time we americans were told we needed a typical major in order to easily be employed. In reality it wouldn't have mattered for most of us if we got decent grades and were relatively bright, but american society was still in a hyper-competitive society, still in a mindset of 'scarcity' actually, ironically or not. //[paragraph break// Your mention of fairytales, and the fact u r a linguist made met think of another guest of Jonathan's who is fantastic: "Decoding Trolls"' Stephen Douglas, whom u may find fascinating (he worked as a OSCE diplomat in the late '10's at a warzone border crossing bridge in Luhansk/. What and how he's said about that and other things in his interviews here are extraordinarily illuminating I think. Like you and Jonathan, he has an eye for the essence of the Ru dynamic, particularly visavis Ukraine/Ukrainians. (also a shout-out for a couple of deep experts in disinfo affairs, Jade McGlynn (also perchance a linguist, but that's not at all why i thought of her) and american Molly McKew, who imho, is one of the most important americans in the managing Ru-disinfo area, and i think she's written a book or two.

  24. Yeah, it's utterly insane-- !! Btw, friend who went into Caddilac dealer got the cold shoulder in USofA, and thus decided on new Bmw 540 in '04. When i was under 34 at least, I also got plenty of being ignored by dealer salesmen/women, but depended on brand. One volvo place was the absolute worst and also most shit-assed and psychopathic dealership ever seen by me (Lynnwood, WA)
