  1. Millertime25, I used to service well pumps. We always hated finding sheds built around a well. It usually required that you would have to cut a hole in the roof to hoist the pipe and pump and it was always a pain in the neck. There is actually a pretty good reason why most wells are not under a roof.

  2. Thanks for the explanation about the well Kyle. Another off grid cabin YouTuber in your area (TRE Runs-Wild) has been trying to drive a sand point well. He got down 25 feet but I think he has clay and hasn’t been able to penetrate into any water bearing gravel or sand. Our cabin is on Lake Vermilion so we can get water from the lake. We don’t have any pressurized water inside to avoid having to install a septic system. The country (rightfully) condemned the old outhouse here because it was too close to the lake. We have electric service so were able to use an incinerating toilet (a turd-burner.) Thanks for the video Kyle!
