@IrishCinnsealach In 879 there were no Kievan Rus. At that time Kiev was in Khazar Khaganate. Kiev was annexed by Rus in 882. Novgorod Ruler named Oleg did that. The territory of future Moscow was incorporated into Rus in 864, together with Great Rostov Principality. It happened earlier than annexation of Kiev. And all these facts have nothing to do with Siberia.

@IrishCinnsealach According to the chronicles, the term "Russian land" has been used since 852, but the state of the Slavs called "Rus" was set up only in 862. Term "Kievan Rus" appeared only 1000 years later in silence articles. See how badly you know history. However, if you are a foreigner, then this is forgivable.
