  2. What's scary... is the crime rate in Lacrosse, Wi is probably much lower than most other states/cities, but that just shows you how much the police have to deal with.

Most police have at least a 2 year degree with a criminology focus, they operate under VERY strict standards and procedures that won't just get them fired if they don't do their job right, they can get sued, thrown in jail and even get themselves and other people killed. The job of a policeman is a necessary one... how the hell can you suggest that qualified immunity should be abolished if you have NO CONCEPT ON EARTH what the would mean? Police would GO AWAY completely. You'd have all your stuff taken in the first week and either end up in slavery or dead by the second. People like you NEED the police even though you're the biggest whiners about them.
