Or.. maybe you think it's OK to segregate people by race and tell people what they can and can't do based on their skin color? That's called racial discrimination and it's actually illegal. Why we have a MONTH of it just as questionable as why we allow the NAACP to continue to exist, why we have BET, lots of blacks-only magazines, black-only scholarships, tv shows, sitcoms, movies, movie channels, newspapers, news channel, voting caucus... the list goes on and on and on. Actually that's not all that's taught. However, black history month is racist, racially discriminatory and shouldn't exist. The fact that it's forced on us is ridiculous and a great example of systemic racism and the double standard of racism in the USA today.

If you're referring to my comment about "African American", I was pointing out the obvious fact that "African American" is an ignorant way to refer to black people. It's not their race, it's not their ethnicity, background or nationality. It's just a made-up word to keep people segregated.

They aren't a race, they were given reparations because they LIVED THROUGH THE EVENT... you're talking about an entire race of an entire nation getting paid for things that didn't affect them. There is "American History" that includes all races, all creeds, all religions, all sexes, etc. It is driven by dates and events, not race... as it should be. @1taejoon They.. weren't citizens? I'm not arguing the semantics of slavery. It was wrong... duh. But, rights are given to citizens. Once they were given citizenship they were given rights. Yes, there are scholarships for diverse groups... but, the only race that has several that are specific to that race... well, we talked about that. It doesn't matter WHY you think things are racist (which your opinion is way-off anyway) the fact is: It's racist to have a loan or give money to someone based on their race. @Joseph Scott History is taught... it's taught chronologically and without racial favoritism (as it should be). Plus, even if what you said was even remotely true, that doesn't stop the fact that "black history month" is racist, racially discriminating and shouldn't exist.

@Joseph Scott How is it ignorant to say that history is taught by chronology and events instead of by race? The BOOKS it's taught from are reviewed by all levels of the education board as being complete and worthy of being taught. They aren't looking for race either. The students that read the books aren't looking for race (unless, of course they have a racist parent driving that), the only people that seem to want race involved (or see race involved) in normal history are the racists. It doesn't matter if they weren't a great figurehead in history. Why should they be picked out and set aside because they are black? Does that make sense in your mind? Because, to me (and the dictionary) it's racist. The history USED to be taught without the need for a full month of racism and racial discrimination. It wasn't until the racists started in on it that it became "required" and even schools had to focus on it. That's just pathetic.

It's not my personal opinion you're arguing with, lol. It's literally and objectively racist to separate people by race in order to focus on them categorically instead of individually. Yeah, but who cares about Africa unless they live there? Go take a course on it if you want to learn about history from another continent... People are people, not a race. @1taejoon I think what you're trying to say is that the very small percentage (which is why we call them 1%) of people in America that have that kind of wealth would pass it on to their children assuming there was something to pass along after probate and insane hospital costs. Without watching this video it's really, really obvious why we need to get rid of "Black history month". It's racist... it's racially inflammatory. It's racially discriminatory. It's a great example of systemic racism that's been FORCED on people. It's also a great example of the double standard of racism we have in the USA. In a nation where the NAACP can exist and get federal funding, but white people are destroyed for using the Nword (which nobody should use, but what happens to black people?
