@mooncat7009 True. She had a Class III malfunction. The spent casing didn't clear the exit port and the slide went forward bringing a live round into play and jamming the weapon. She either "limp wristed" the weapon or had her support hand too high and slowed the slide as it was moving to the rear. You can see her trying to "push" the live round back into the magazine. Very inept action and it would NEVER clear the malfunction. She should have done the following: 1. locked the slide back 2. pulled the magazine out of the weapon and thrown it to the ground 3. run the slide several times 4. inserted a fresh magazine in the weapon. 5. slammed the magazine home 6. pulled the slide all the way back with her support hand 7. let the slide run free and chamber a good round 8. gotten back in the fight with an operating weapon. It would have taken less time than it took her to try all the useless techniques she tried. Yes, I train law enforcement and the military in weaqpons and small unit tactics.

@obeii1805 Millions of Glocks out there in LE and military units. If she had had a Kimber 1911 she would have had the same problem. It was HER problem not the weapon.

@JimmyCrackKorn With a Class III malfunction "tap and rack" is a waste of time. She had a Class III malfunction. @Slay_No_More True, true, true.
2
Her Dad "used to be a cop." You can easily understand why she's a single Mom. But "several" kids? There are some REALLY stupid men in this world.
2
A Glock. It was her NOT the weapon.
2
ibtm, it isn't. SHE was the problem not her training. As a LEO you know her moronic actions to attempt to clear the malfunction were NEVER in her training. She "limp wristed" the first shot. ANY semi-auto will jam if you do that. I have seen it with Springfield, S & W M & P's, Rugers, Kimbers, Taurus and many others. I train LE and the military in weapons and small unit tactics.
2
Only the sane, educated people...............
2
ANY semi-auto will have the same malfunction if you "limp wrist" it. There are literally millions of Glocks with LE and the military. It was HER not the weapon.
2
Not true. She "limp wristed" the 1st round.
2
ANY semi-auto will have the same malfunction if you "limp wrist" it.
2
No, I believe she was hitting the "MAG RELEASE" but the mag will not drop when you have a Class III malfunction. She "limp wristed" the weapon. She should have tilted the weapon up and looked into the ejection port. If she saw brass (and she would have) she had a BIG problem. With a Class III malfunction, the spent casing didn't clear the exit port and the slide went forward bringing a live round into play and jamming the weapon. You can see her trying to "push" the live round back into the magazine. Very inept action and it would NEVER clear the malfunction. It's the LAW!! He could have just issued a citation or let it pass but this guy was a Instagram wannabe.
1
@dotar9586 That is simply NOT TRUE!! I train LE and the military in weapons and small unit tactics. If you only hit 5 out of 20 you certainly DON'T qualify.
1
True. The lead officer said "Box him in." Pretty poor job since he just drove around that cruiser.
1
When the member gets violent; I guess so. Sadly...
1
@TheRealBDouble Correct except you pull the mag in the weapon and throw it to the ground. It is suspect and trying to run the slide with a mag in your support hand is very demanding. Get a fresh mag from your carrier and insert IT into the weapon.
1
Stupid is beyond description.
1

1
With moronic patches that state, "Loud Pipes Save Lives." Stupid beyond words.
1
THAT is funny!!!
1
or any other semi-auto. They all (Kimber, Springfield, Ruger, S & W, etc) will malfunction if you limp wrist it.
1
Correct. Sometimes they try yo be too accomodating.

1
Her weapon was ready, SHE wasn't. It took her 52 seconds on the full video to clear the malfunction after the 1st round was fired. In real-life it should take no more than 4 or 5.
1
What exactly would you do? Run in and maybe make the wrong approach or get confronted with a knife? Hindsight and the benefit of sitting behind a safe computer monitor make so many __ (fill in the blank) LE tactics experts.
1
Not according to the LEO haters,..................
1
The full video showed 52 seconds.

Not according to the LEO haters,..................

Pretty harsh.............but true.

No. I train LE and the military. One drill we do is to shoot fully inflated tires. They do NOT go flat. It takes a rifle round through the rim to have the air escape. Modern belted tires are really tough.
1
And other innocent people around him.
1
Simply NOT TRUE.
1
True. EVERY semi-auto will malfunction if you "limp wristed" the weapon. She should have tilted the weapon up and looked into the ejection port. @mr-yg4hu True. Nor does any other semi-auto!!!!

ANY semi-auto will jam if you do that. I have seen it with Springfield, S & W M & P's, Rugers, Kimbers, Taurus and many others. I train LE and the military in weapons and small unit tactics. You see more Glock's because they are the prevalent weapon of choice.
1
True, but 4-5 seconds to execute IF you do it correctly. She wasn't. She even tried pushing the jammed live-round back into the magazine. Sad and pathetic at the same time.
1

In the uncut version it took her 52 seconds!!!
1
None of that is the reason here weapon malfunctioned. She "limp wristed" the first shot. ANY semi-auto will jam if you do that. I have seen it with Springfield M & P's, Rugers, Kimbers, Taurus and many others. I train LE and the military in weapons and small unit tactics.

. She "limp wristed" the first shot. ANY semi-auto will jam if you do that. I have seen it with Springfield Combat Comanders, S & W M & P's, Rugers, Kimbers, Taurus and many others. I train LE and the military in weapons and small unit tactics.

Stupid is beyond words. When you or a loved one are at Death's Door being attacked by a drug crazed felon with a gun, don't call the "cops". Call the manager of Pizza Hut.
1

It had nothing to do with "cleaning." And you have to "leave it covered at home?" REALLY???
1
Not according to the morons that think the cop was wrong!!!
1
That is really an uneducated comment. He simply gets away, pulls into a parking lot, calls the cops and says "My motorcycle was stolen." He gets away clean. LE can't go after the fact and arrest someone that is clearly not identifed in the video. Or would you be able to pick him out in a line-up with his helmet on? I think not.
1
Simple, but the morons today don't understand.
1
There are millions of Glocks being used by hundreds of LE organizations and military units. You REALLY believe it was a "Glock malfunction?" No, She "limp wristed" the weapon. She should have tilted the weapon up and looked into the ejection port. If she saw brass she had a BIG problem. With a Class III malfunction, the spent casing didn't clear the exit port and the slide went forward bringing a live round into play and jamming the weapon.
