  1. Also that asylums were notorious for being terrible places where people where being taken advantage of, abused, attacked and even killed, yeah, theres a reason they went away. They were prison for people who werent liked but did nothing wrong. the abuse was horrendous.

  2. with the eviction process, the rental tells the renter that they no longer have permission to live there, at the point, they are illegally occupying the space, ie, trespassing. sure, they did have permission before, so there is a little leeway in that. However, the rental agency then gave them warning, and the eviction notice. they still did not comply. they then called the police, or went to the courts, the judge signed off , and then the eviction notice is served. In Idaho, there is a 3 day, fix it or loose it deal (most cases not all), after those three days, then there is a 3-30 day period of legal proceedings, with the courts, all the while the person is still illegally entering and trespassing on the property. When the judge signs the court order, then police respond. the man had more than likely 2 weeks of knowing that this is what will happen, it did not come out of the blue. The man should have been a man about it and left peacefully. Also, its illegal to fail to comply with a leos lawful order, which he refused, as the leo had a legal court order. It falls not onto the police. The man was trespassing and there illegally, and disobeying the leos legal court order. The rental agency was there as well, so.

  3. tell me you dont know what eviction means without telling me you dont know. eviciton means its not his house anymore. hes there illegally. as if someone broke into your house, and moved in. he also wasnt defending himself. the cops were not threatening his life just being there, he attacked them.

  5. Not like they had any choice. He fired, they went to stop that. They were also more firing into the room he was in, behind that is an empty room then by that time mostly out of the building. The 9 mm the cops might have had wont go through much more, maybe three walls if it didnt hit any furniture or studs.

  6. the problem was bad to begin with. they were serving eviction papers. the last in the line of a lengthy process. the man was there far longer than legally allowed. the cops job that day, was to serve the papers, allow the people inside to gather a few things, clothing, keys and other small needed items, like cell phones and chargers, and make sure they leave. The rental will then change locks, hire movers to clean out the apartment, or allow them to hire their own, and clear it out. the suspect made it 1000 times worse

The incident was over 10 seconds after the officers were shot, and one self extricated. the other two were covering still, the man that shot at them, and they had ems on scene, they couldnt render aid until the scene was secure, and the mother was on the other side of the man, so why drag her over him, they got him out, allowing access of the emt to the mother. the other officer that was down had a clear exit. clear the scene and the gunman, drag Holte out, ems for the three, but like i said, they arent going to carry the mother out over the son. also, do you wanna walk into an active shooting with not body armor or anything hoping you dont get shot? you would never do that. police arrive, shooting happens, EMT WILL NOT ENTER UNTIL THE SCENE IS CLEARED. The mother laid on the other side of the bedroom door from where the police are, and they wont risk crossing that door while a gunman lies in wait to kill all of them.

  11. i mean most encounters with police are pretty civil. there are an estimated 53.8 million encounters with police in the usa every year. in 2022 there are only 1097 fatalities by police. which is 0.002%. yeah there are some crooked cops out there, most dont want to hurt anyone. and guessing if there is 10k cop interactions being crooked, that still only is 0.018 % chance of that happening. the media just likes to grab and hold onto those 4 horrible ones that do happen

  14. i got hit in a rear ending accident with a drunk driver, and he blew a 0.14 to a 0.17. The responding officers could not legally arrest him as they had never seen him driving, yet he and I were the only two persons at those two stricken vehicles. He even admitted to driving the vehicle, but since the officers did not see him driving, they could not do anything. They had to ask me if i wanted to civilians arrest him. unfortunately, it was not his first dui.

There was a civilian causality, they legally cant, also if they did leave they would be allowing a dangerous man a better opportunity to hurt more people, and, in the action of leaving, turning their backs on an active threat. They cant just leave without a giant risk of more lives, not including their own

  20. If the gas tank is only has gas fumes in it its pretty stable and wont burn, its when the fumes mix with air it becomes dangerous. Gas fume and no oxygen puts out flames.

  31. a bullet resistant shield like the one you see the police carry (not the riot shields, those wont stop a .22) usually will only stop a few hand gun rounds level 1, resistant to 5 rounds of 9 mm, it will not stop higher caliber rifles being shot at close ranges as well as a shield that can is super heavy and again, are only functional for a few shots. the best protective shield will stop 1, ap round of 7.56 caliber. the next best is level 3, and thats 5 regular rounds, not ap rounds.

  35. the talking was done, it had happened for at least three days before, and could have been talking for a month or more, that is a court order that they are now trespassing, out now, or arrest.

  36. how do you know that they aren't responding. i know many times that they don't roll lights and sirens. It entirely depends upon the situation. showing lights and sirens might endanger more people than running lights.
