  1. UK and EU sanctions were hurriedly passed with lightning speed as if they were waiting for opportunity to impose them. And the Ryanair Saga gave them the opportunity to punish Belarus. This sanctions are a waste of time and leaves no room for diplomacy. Its a sanction of hate on the political leadership and it's meant to instigate regime change.EU doesn't like Lukashenko but his people want him. EU has to reckon with this reality and learn to accommodate him. From now on Belarus will look to Russia and the east.
