The solution to this problem is very very simple: The west should encourage Ukraine to renounce its intention to seek NATO membership. The political leadership should sign an agreement with Russia to that effect. This will be a face saving measure for the western powers especially US and UK. The duo being the main sponsors of this impending holocaust. That will be a win win for both sides.

@curtisjones400 it's time to reason like humans. Ukraine is a Slavic country made up of Ukrainians and Russians. There are other minority groups like Hungarians, poles and Jews. They don't fit into NATO. Ukraine should be part of Russia or remain neutral. Let the west not deceive themselves. They should stop provoking Russia. Is your people not tired of endless wars? They just came out of Afghanistan, now they want to start another war with Russia. I don't know whether there are no wise people in US who can talk sense into their leaders. There should be no war with Russia for Ukraine's sake. US should quietly leave Ukraine for the sake of world peace.

@hennetahgeranailo Do you think that UK will allow Australians to declare their independence from UK and declare a republic? That will never happen. In the same vein Russia being a nuclear power will never allow Ukraine to join NATO for security reasons. Let that be very clear to you. This is what is called geo- political issues.

@hennetahgeranailo Russia is conducting military drills inside Russian territory not too near Ukrainian border. No international law is against them.

@hennetahgeranailo US and UK troops are doing regular military drills in Estonia with thousands of troops yet the western press are not telling the world about it. They only cry and scream that Russia has amassed thousands of troops near Ukrainian border. This is hypocritical.
