I pity Ukraine. Russia is a super power and has means of destruction to incapacitate Ukrainian army. Putin is not using them because he thinks Ukrainian leaders will seek peaceful resolution of this conflict. Since that is not happening he has started using those highly destructive means to grind Ukraine's armed forces. We are likely going to see more ferocious attacks on Ukraine this coming winter season.
