@1Grande55 The royal Family have German ancestry Phillip was 3/4rs German and spoke German fluently, the Queen was a quarter German. They all descend from the Habsburg dynasty that ruled Europe for centuries and married their families into each other...
4
@honeybunch6473 Little circles in a tank full of ignorance... It's like teaching a whale to fly or attempting to talk a chocolate cake into sentience...
4
@NoLefTurnUnStoned. Why is everyone so ignorant? "The mother of Queen Elizabeth II was British, so she was only partly of German descent, even if she did display some stereotypical German virtues throughout her life, including discipline and a sense of duty. Her husband Philip, however, had predominantly German ancestors and spoke fluent German."
4
Fair enough, if he broke the rules we need to know of his Cummings and goings. Although Laura Iceberg said he didn't do anything wrong and I trust Laura she's the most professional, impartial, investigative journalist / Tory sycophant I know.
4
Yes, but the majority of US billionaires managed to double their assets during the pandemic...
4
Richard Wilkinson Thank you, kind Sir. However, when i die, I would just like to be remembered as the guy who gave his taxes to the government to waste on cronyism and corporate greed, without question. Who never resented the endless tax increases and loss of freedoms. Who consumed and got into debt to enrich the wealthy elite, without a hint of complaint. A man who was happy to go without food and heating so that wealthy shareholders could top up their off-shore accounts. A man who played by the rules, even while the rules were playing him. Bless the wealthy elitists and corrupt politicians alike...
4
World Bank and the IMF have been pressuring Lebanon for energy reforms, then suddenly blackouts, oil fires in the few resources left...
4
By osmosis? coin toss? spin the bottle? It doesn't make a difference, the Tory agenda continues as they flood the UK with incompetence and poverty...
4
Trump signed the Doha agreement peace treaty with the Taliban 18months ago, if Biden changed that agreement US agreements would be worthless in future...
4
@chips1889 Why is it that right-whingers can't construct a sentence or use facts, intellect and reason to rebut a comment and instead prefer to rely on ad hominems and whataboutery? Answers on a postcard...
4
@knockedoutloaded What job did you have? were you a door to the emergency room? I can't believe you can say the NHS isn't underfunded when the figures are easy to check. NHS funding was higher over a decade ago under Labour in real terms (adjusted for inflation and increase in population).
4
@anacc3257 I was correcting an ignorant comment. As I'm forced to do again. Drinking causes far more harm to people and costs the NHS far more so I don't see the relevance of you repeating a moot point... ...to think you could have typed something intelligent or witty...
4
Intellectuals read definitions and apply them appropriately, where idiots pose dumb questions...
4
@icantthinkofaname9935 Not at all but thank you for proving how little you know about politics, economics, ethics, tech, security protocols and current affairs...
4
@luntershaptopfukinov6413 Reading Marx doesn't necessarily make someone a Marxist. In the same regard, reading Dumbo doesn't necessarily make you... an Elephant.
4
@Retro PC Trump dropped out of 3 nuclear treaties on thin pretexts, restarting nuclear proliferation bringing the end of the species one step closer. Fed Wall St trillions, out of American taxpayers money and tried to take health care from 20 million Americans during a very ill-managed pandemic... Can you explain your use of the terms 'better', 'common sense', and 'critical thinking'... On second thoughts best not, I lost 2 points of my IQ reading your first comment...
4
@sebastianguerre6868 Except for ideology, policy, integrity, looks, sex, understanding and intellect...
4
@unvaccinatedAndPureBlood I wouldn't talk about the ability to think until you reach sentience. You make up for your lack of intellect with stupidity and have delusions of adequacy... PS as an outsider what's your thoughts on humanity?
4
@unvaccinatedAndPureBlood lol nice ridiculously unlikely stat pulled from midair, would you like to prove your idiocy with more imbecilic comments or are you satisfied with your underperformance so far? Anyways I've had a wonderful, intelligent, enlightening debate, but this wasn't it.
4
Was "loaded with a live round" two people with one bullet now is it?
4
Where do you people keep coming from, is there a political illiterate factory pushing out new dumbs on a daily basis?
4
@dredits6658 Get your facts right: "Washington provided Kyiv with the equivalent of €7.6 billion in the four weeks following the start of Russia's invasion on 24 February. This is by far the largest contribution with Poland coming second with an envelope of just under €1 billion followed by the UK, Germany and France." (Ukraine Support Tracker from the Kiel Institute for the World Economy) Poland has given more while Germany and France have given around the same aid as us. How you can defend such vile corruption and the suffering the Tories cause is beyond me...
4
@jonhelmer8591 Boris' tenure has seen the most Orwellian, authoritarian legislation. Including the Spycops bill which allows security services to rape, murder or set up innocents with no accountability. The Tories own the media, shut down any anti-establishment media and have banned the teaching of alternatives to capitalism in schools. All while using economic euthanasia to cut down on the welfare bill, which is a fraction of the £100+ billion given to tax-dodging corporations per annum. Next up is electronic tagging and neo-fascism.
4
That's a good metaphor for the rich, building on sand. They think money is everything, there are only 2 actual resources - the planet and humans. Both are exploited by the rich for transitory wealth - a human construct called money. Also a quite apt metaphor for a climate change post.
4
@stoufer2000 I say we send them to an island where they can live in a dictatorial fascist corporatocracy without annoying decent folk.
4
Osman Al-Ghazi That's a shame, I'm Steven of the Parker, Second coming of Christ, Son of God, One-Third of the Holy Trinity, Three-day resurrection specialist and the guy who was once crucified by some Romans for saying wouldn't it be great if we were all nice to each other...
4
@IamGrimalkin You may be correct about the bailout in specific terms, but they did profit from implicit guarantees and the liquidity that the government enabled with the £700 billion borrowing for said bailout. I'm not sure if the compensation for the PPI misselling cost the taxpayer. But HSBC certainly cost the taxpayer by allowing their Swiss subsidiary’s industrial-scale facilitating of tax avoidance for corporations and the wealthy while HSBC also laundered Mexican cartel money. They are not innocents and as regards shareholders, they didn't lose all their money when the banks failed, as the taxpayer-funded bailout saved them from losing everything by stabilizing the flawed system.
4
@sumukhhegde6677 Rishi may not be a drinker, but I think you get the point... PS Defame a kleptocratic hypocrite who profits from his own budget decisions? Who defends his wife's profit from Ukraine, while telling British corporations to impose sanctions on Russia?
4
@aleccap5946 We give corporations £100 billion every year out of taxpayers' money to buy new yachts for billionaires and to top up the offshore accounts of the rich. While those companies cost us between £40-120 billion per annum in unpaid taxes. While your taxes go up to make up the difference. Unemployment benefits only cost £1.56 billion last year, so corporate welfare and subsidies alone cost the taxpayer 66 times what unemployment benefit costs. If you're worried about taxpayers' money, maybe mention that once in a while...
4
Is it because Tory MP Victoria Atkins as drug czar will only give a licence to grow it to her husband who works for British Sugar? and the Tories have shares in big pharma?
4
@BonafideShaunDent 93% of BLM protests were peaceful according to several studies, when children turn up with guns and start trouble you can expect tragedies like this... Another stat you may like is that 90% of domestic terror in the US comes from the right...
4
Stop making excuses for the terrible underfunding of our NHS over the past ten years. We have well over 12% death rate compared with other countries like Germany who have less than 5% death rate. The difference is the medical care, this is seen globally. Yes, lockdown measures help stop the spread, but once infected we have one of the highest death rates globally. Those with the best health services had the lowest death rate.

I heard that volcanos were invented by Sir Ignatius Volcano in 1902 when he was looking for a way to vent thermal energy from under the earth's crust...
4
Climate change = Blame the two global sweatshops India and China for the west's need for new tech devices and clothing...
4
@mariatheresavonhabsburg Hussey was told no records of her African ancestry were kept as her ancestors were human cargo! Stop commenting when you haven't a clue what's going on!
4
@JamesSmith-vz8yr Agreed, here's another one: Remember, remember Tory sleaze this November, and how our government have all lost the plot. They will never see reason; while they profit from treason. In the old days, they would all have been shot...

Why did he fire a gun at the director and director of photography who were presumably behind the camera? Also he was the producer and responsible for safety and procedures involving checking the gun...
4
I just watched the actual footage of the explosion the car was still moving pulling up to the hospital when the bomb went off, after the explosion, the car stopped and the driver then exited the vehicle and ran towards the safety of the hospital entrance. The explosion was just a massive puff of smoke, and the car then caught fire 45 seconds later... Strange...

@posteveryside-beatsnews British Social Democracy gave us the NHS, Safety net for the disabled - unemployed and terminally ill, public parks, legal aid, public transport, human rights, worker's rights, public libraries, free schooling, nationalised industry etc. Although the current Tory government are more like neo-fascists with their book burning and human-rights-violating legislation.
4
@nothingbutthetruth3227 You're a political illiterate please stop spewing cognitive diarrhoea. Fresh fruit and veg last months in real life, not days. Supermarkets sell close to date food to maximise profits. Food mountains are the result of capitalist resource flaws. Now go read a book ya sponge...
4
@posteveryside-beatsnews In 1948 the Attlee government used Social Democracy to rebuild Britain, build social housing and nationalised industry to help lift the poor out of the slums and gave them medical help and free schooling. Unfortunately since the 80s we've had Thatcherism/Neoliberalism from both Tories and Labour. Privatisation, bank deregulation, concentrating on becoming a fiscal laundrette to the world's criminal elite. Life isn't black and white it's shades of grey...
4
@sladehelicoptersgaming3148 How come the UK and the US have the worst statistics then? when Norway , Iceland, Denmark and all those other countries that use the Scandinavian model of social democracy have far better lifestyles, healthcare and life expectancy?
4
They all had jobs in the service industry that were affected by the lockdown and pandemic as you'd know if you watched the video...

@mariusstasytis4149 I've already stated Belarus are out of order. That doesn't condone what Poland are doing. NATO created these refugees... They aren't illegal you are misinformed. The UN Refugee Convention states refugees can legitimately make a claim for asylum in any country after passing through other “safe” countries. Also, they still have to be considered for Asylum even if they get into a country illegally, under international law. Not to mention at least 6 have frozen to death. “Poland has been cruelly holding this group of people on their border in horrendous conditions for weeks,” Eve Geddie, Director of Amnesty International’s European Institutions Office, said in a statement. “Our analysis shows irrefutably on 18 August, their position shifted from Poland to Belarus overnight, which strongly suggests that they were victims of an unlawful pushback.”
4
@andrzejgajewski1451 Over 100,000 Afghans live in Russia.
4
@spawn6636 The Tories have already defunded the police by reducing police numbers by 22,500, closing police stations and getting rid of over 23,000 support staff. Not to mention closing women refuges and reducing mental health staff by 5,000... You're still paying the same taxes though...
4
@spawn6636 You're right you had no argument. You just appeal to the lowest common denominator. You also ask the wrong questions, we current waste over £100 billion on corporate welfare and subsidies every year and pay huge debts off because the Tories have given us a debt to GDP ratio of over 100%. We already pay enough taxes for a comprehensive police force and services. The problem is that a lot of our taxes are going to shareholders bank accounts thanks to cronyism and tax avoidance.
4
@darkmusky9851 "Prisons in England and Wales have seen an unprecedented number of deaths through suicide in recent years." Sending kids who made a mistake or are in debt to their death while you say nothing about the rich criminals who actually steal from you on a daily basis. The worse society becomes, the more crime we have and the rich are the ones making things worse. The justice system is being used to make profits for private investors while keeping the poor in their place. If you want to forelock tug and doff your cap to the rich and their punitive system of social control feel free...
4
@BBountyHunter You use tech devices made by kids in China, that use Cobalt mined in D.R.Congo by 5-year-olds. You wear clothes made in child sweatshops in India and you have the cheek to talk about working hard pays off? The government give tax-dodging corporations over £100 billion of our tax money every year, unemployment only costs £1.56 billion. So who is getting the free handouts? Corporations also cost us between £40-120 billion per annum in tax losses, so who is getting the free handouts? You have no idea of ideology, economics or history. Right-wing memes are as factual as an episode of South Park...
4
@carrietaylor6658 lol seriously how many times? She told Lady Hussey at the start of the conversation that she didn't have records of her African ancestry. This was because her ancestors were transported to the Caribbean by the British monarchy possibly by Lady Hussey's ancestors. They didn't write a cargo manifest of the slaves they transported and so she couldn't answer the question. Then Lady Hussey kept pressing the point...
