  1. Most tech these days has built-in obsolescence so that the devices fail within a certain time frame. It's all about profit at the cost of common sense and the environment.

  2. @gilkesisking Linux is better than Windows for lack of bloatware, spyware, telemetry etc. But I'm really talking about hardware and most production really including cars, washing machines, household items etc they are built with design flaws, weak parts, limited use to continue the cycle of profit.

  3. @gilkesisking Bill Gates stole Dos from IBM and gave it a GUI, now he uses the platform for tracking, telemetry, adverts, bloatware etc. Then he used nefarious means to monopolise the industry, as you said, open-source is the enemy to people like Gates. Now he helps security services with facial recognition software, bots for propaganda and facilitating the selling of our personal data. I use dual boot mostly because I need Microcrap's platform for compatibility. But Linux has improved vastly in the last decade and would be my preferred platform.
