Surely a pandemic should make us reassess having a system that promotes profit over health, nutrition, education, biodiversity and global ecology. I'm no expect but shouldn't the heart of any system be human advancement, individual growth, resource optimisation, sustained living.

@MrSatnavatron Yea, unfortunately for some reason billionaires don't want to give up their private islands and private jets, oh and global hegemony. Considering the amount of mercenaries used in the last few wars, I think they could easily finance a huge army. Ah well authoritarianism and a dystopian Orwellian state it is then, complete with ID chips, citizen tracking, immunity passports, digital currency and a one world government run for large multinationals with humans on slave wages. Blade runner here we come...

@MrTonpark Possibly Civil War in the US too, unless they attack China before the civil instability reaches a critical stage. Get your popcorn ready, this parallel dimension we've fallen into is going to get a little weird.

@sladehelicoptersgaming3148 How come the UK and the US have the worst statistics then? when Norway , Iceland, Denmark and all those other countries that use the Scandinavian model of social democracy have far better lifestyles, healthcare and life expectancy?

@timeweaver476 Oh wait, just found it on IMDB "An exposé on how Hollywood and the mainstream media manipulate the multitudes by spreading propaganda throughout their content." May check it out but that's kind of been known for a while. In the 70's it was all the anti-commie movies like Rambo etc. Even Disney have had their hand in propaganda since the 40's.

@timeweaver476 No but looking for it lead to me to horror films, a docu about Georgia and the Soviet Union and a few other things. But if it's the documentary that says we are going to overthrow the elites by magic or luck...

Iosif Iosif I'm fully awake thanks. Just trying to point out if we don't stand and make a choice now, the elite will make it for us. That means authoritarianism, Orwellian state and cashless digital society.

John Smith Resource based economy based on sustainability, no need for money. Money is a tool used to rip people off. We were better off under a barter system.

Iosif Iosif The economic crash is going to be the worst in 300 years, unemployment world wide is massive, food shortages, poverty, Looks like the fallout from the pandemic may kill more people than the pandemic!

Iosif Iosif Yes although I'm aware of the fact that 2014, Shi Zhengli collaborated on additional gain-of-function experiments led by Ralph S. Baric of the University of North Carolina, which showed that two critical mutations that the MERS coronavirus possesses allow it to bind to the human ACE2 receptor, and that SARS had the potential to re-emerge from coronaviruses circulating in bat populations in the wild. And that Dr.Fauci (NIAID Director and presidential advisor) paid that Wuhan lab $3.7 million around the time the Obama administration and US National Institutes of Health placed a moratorium on SARS, MERS, and influenza gain-of-function studies, due to concerns about the risks vs. benefits of such research. I'm not 100% convinced yet if it was deliberate or just the elite taking advantage. I'm also concerned it's a civil war between the old Oil and Weapons global elites vs the newer digital billionaires. Power grab either way.
