Not to mention the cost...our lungs remove Co2 from our body as high levels of CO2 can cause asphyxiation as it replaces oxygen in the blood-exposure to concentrations around 40,000 ppm is immediately dangerous to life and health.

@Ass_of_Amalek And yet Libya, Ghana, Namibia, and Algeria to name a few solved their lack of water using desalination. Deep saline aquifers can be used to avoid concentration, not to mention the brine can be used to produce salt which can be sold m8, and doesn't have to be dumped in the sea...

How will they maintain high levels of Co2 in the atmosphere or are you going to cover the whole country under a tent? What you are suggesting is not only dangerous, illogical and expensive but is the reason for the drought! please stop digging yourself deeper and read my replies!

@JamesSmith-qs4hx PS Apart from Co2 being responsible for climate change and the drought in the first place. For most crops the saturation point will be reached at about 1,000–1,300 ppm. So you haven't a clue what you are talkign about... lol

By adding more carbon dioxide to the atmosphere, people are supercharging the natural greenhouse effect, causing global temperatures to rise. @Ass_of_Amalek It's being used to solve droughts all over the world to avoid famine. It's working, you can't deny something that already works. Yes, it's not economically viable (yet) to produce a whole nation's water supply. But they don't need to, they can use undrinkable brackish water for plants, the plants filter the water, the soil turns it into nutrients for the plants. lol seriously, it is already working globally to resolve this exact problem! Stop being pedantic...

@Ass_of_Amalek No one suggested that, there are lots of sources of water that aren't suitable for drinking. But as Desal becomes more cost-effective that is a future use. The point is that it's already working for this exact problem globally!

@Ass_of_Amalek I was talking about non-drinkable water being available in many sources, dirty water will be filtered by plants and feed soil bacteria. Brackish water can be manipulated via chemical processes to create hydrochloric acid or simply evaporated to produce salt and other byproducts. Plants require a certain PH balance depending on the plant so if the soil is too alkaline or too acidic it can cause problems. But again, Somalia isn't Iraq and my point is related to multiple sources of water available that isn't suitable for drinking.

@blablup1214 We aren't talkign about individual corporations. We are talking about the fossil fuel industry in general paying damages to the world out of the bumper profits they continually make and have made in the past. A fund created by those responsible to negate some of the damage they caused. Some of these funds will be diverted to the most affected areas such as Somalia. This has been discussed globally and can be enforced via taxation and many other forms of government initiatives.
