The world bank and the IMF putting the squeeze on...

Record rate? you mean they have fallen so low that even a slight increase is a new record in growth... Let's not try and tell people how well off they are when most of us are struggling to lift our head above water... Our bills and empty wallets let us know the truth despite media spin...

@cup1966wow Well call for transparency on the crown, estates and oversea's territories then close the loopholes and enforce a robust corporate standards watchdog that has the power to hold corporations to account. Then use fines that are meaningful for those who break the standards. But this is all beside the point, the extra revenue from windfall taxes can help offset the cost to the public. The other issues are above my paygrade...

@colingreen6950 Thank you. Boris the man who was born with a silver foot in his mouth. He has the backbone of a chocolate éclair, the IQ of a crack-addicted hamster and all the charisma of a used tissue. The only man, who after selling his soul had to give the Devil a refund... in roubles.

Too late, it's more a question limiting the damage already done.

All the children starving with worried parents drowning in debt must love to see the privileged living it up, not to mention all the homeless veterans eating out of the bins at the back of KFC...
8
Buckingham Palace has 775 rooms alone, despite all the other properties around the UK. If the Queen was committed to the cause of homelessness in Britain, she could solve the problem on her own, without breaking a sweat...
8
The Queen is too busy wasting taxpayer money and continuing her shallow gene pool...

Agreed, While no one noticed that the rate of antisemitism in society, the Tory party and UKIP was higher and that under Corbyn it was lowered in Labour. According to the EHRC report and the two parliamentary reports of 2017 and 2018.

"Someone notice me, please! I need to be relevant and haven't done anything bizarre in the last few days" Said Ye as he climbed into a car made of jelly...
7
It never ceases to amaze me how far some clowns will go to win back an audience they lost, the minute they walked on stage.
7
Haven't they suffered enough?
7
No more picking up Russian Oligarch backhanders in person then...
7
Do you realise all households get the £400 grant, all 28.7 million households in Britain? and that while you earn a few quid, you aren't a top priority over poor families who can't afford to feed their children even with help from a local food bank? We're all struggling, I've had to go on a water fast at the end of some months as I run out food. Personally, I think we should renationalise the energy grid and stop giving our taxes and consumer profits to an energy cartel and their shareholder's offshore bank accounts.
7
lol Keir Farage...
7
How about Tories start 'driving up standards' in their corrupt, nepotism and cronyism infested party and stop feeding corporate greed at the expense of the taxpayer and infrastructure...
7
The illusion of sovereignty led to Brexit which caused a loss of HGV drivers who left in droves, Tory solution hire EU HGV drivers? Anyone else laughing?
7
Abducting a loved pet is as low as you can get. But if it's all about money, shouldn't we ask ourselves why people are so desperate that they'd stoop so low?
7
Frail elderly forgetful old man meets pork-obsessed cheesy Liz with her antiquated financial cons... What could go wrong?
6
Grenfell was predominantly due to the local Tory council, Tory government legislation and landlords who use highly flammable materials because it's cheaper. The fire department may have many flaws but this is simply an exercise is shifting blame...
6
Have any of them heard of Social Democracy? Centrist neoliberals pretending to be left...
6
Involuntary? lol anyone else would already be serving a life sentence.
6
Coulda just admitted you're a nob save us all the 2 seconds it took to read your comment...
6
However annoying they may to motorists, their cause is the cause of any decent human being who wants to see the human race survive our current problems. They've been ignored for decades while corporate lobbyists have been paying MPs to turn a blind eye. The system failed them as it has us.
6
So now he's patronising Kenyans instead of the British public? Divine rule archaic backwards feudal Britain...
6
~Why filter my little joke? c'mon be a good egg "Boris was born with a silver foot in his mouth and has the backbone of a chocolate éclair, the IQ of a crack-addicted hamster and all the charisma of a used tissue. The only man, who after selling his soul had to give Satan a refund... in roubles."
6
"There wasn't a fuel shortage" "Now I can't even get the fuel I normally need, its all gone"
6
I hope they lose all their sales in Britain, they don't pay tax anyway, so their contribution won't be missed and maybe a more ethical corporation will take their place.
6
@jonstersmall2716 Nothing to worry about but earlier this year the Tories passed the CHIS bill which allows security services to ignore your human rights and rape, murder or frame you for a crime with complete impunity from the law.
6
More 3 word slogans that amount to nothing from the clown with the frown...
6
The situation is that the Tories are repeating the same mistakes by ignoring their advisors and experts and waiting until the last moment. That way they can reduce the welfare bill a bit more by reducing the number of those still alive on welfare...
6
For anyone wondering that is what a LAbour leader should be doing, supporting the workers who can't afford to feed themselves and heat their rented accommodation...
6
Tim Davie was a Tory candidate for 4 years and now apologises for getting rid of Lineker who embarrassed the Tories... Shows what solidarity and unity can do when people stick to their principles and challenge the powers that be...
5
He's no Prince of Wales and his words are dust in the wind...
5
In other news: Mouse wins Nobel prize for participation in an experiment to test the toxicity of the Evening Standard newspaper...
5
Probably because it isn't the 1920s, we have electricity now :)
5
It's called transparency, the way a minister is supposed to be held to account. Crying because he got caught is yet another sign of Hancock's weak and duplicitous personality...
5
Boris break a promise? Not Boris... Must be some kind of mistake...
5
All the things Boris has lost, I think he'll miss his mind the most. People say nothing is impossible, Boris does nothing every day. He has enemies, he's also intensely disliked by his friends. Two possibilities: either Boris is an idiot or he is not; both are equally terrifying.
5
I'm so looking forward to spending my remaining years watching the human race being transformed into docile cash cows, disenfranchised by digital currency, creating an underclass alienated from society. Where a lack of credit has serious consequences on your life expectancy and corporate billionaires become fickle deities that demand subservience...
5
What an inspiration, what a hero. It's incredible how the Royal mind works, if only us normal people could think of such insightful, inspiring advice as 'Support one another'. Pure genius...
5
You generally get sacked for falling asleep on the job. The fact this seems to be so common just goes to show the utter disregard these people have for their constituents and the general public.
5
Is looting the right term to describe the theft of some sweets from a sweetshop?
5
I like the way he's managed to lie daily and provide at least one scandal a week... Seriously, how is this poor excuse for a human being not in prison?
5
@georgejackson4790 I might also say that some commenters are politically and economically illiterate cash cows that enjoy being milked by their 'betters' while they point the finger at victims like pensioners, single parents, immigrants, disabled, unemployed and the working poor...
5
Right-wing think tanks feed the ignorant and social media nobodies so they'll parrot the lies in this age of anti-truth. Seriously, anything Nadine Dorries and her cronies say is consistently proven to be lies that anyone with an ounce of intellect disregards at source. This kind of city planning was championed by the Zeitgeist movement and these ideas have been around since the 70s and offers an eco-friendly solution to many of modern societies' problems.
4
'Turning point for humanity' he says speaking as an outsider...
4
If you're worried about the escalating population, you could always lead by example :)
4
Little Miss trickle-down economics during a cost of living crisis, the rich have never had it so good. Ashamed to be part of the human race with people like these in power...
4
@DM-jf7pt Foreign aid is usually reciprocal and based on trade agreements. If you want to improve our economy get the government to collect the £120 billion lost annually from corporation tax, maybe also stop paying those tax dodging corporations subsidies in access of £93 billion per annum. Foreign aid is less than £14 billion per annum. Corporations cost us 10-15 times the foreign aid budget.
