I'm just so overjoyed that I'm a subject and not a citizen. So ecstatic that the generosity of the royal family with all the extravagance of meals, drinks, security, hotels and cleaning services are paid for by the taxes of the poor and those using food banks to survive... After all, these people are special and deserve every luxury our poverty provides them...

@missadventuresmotorcycledi2773 Yes, the serfs pay for the truffles and champagne while waving flags at those with nothing but contempt for them.

@lucastaylor2321 Thank you, but I'm no worse off than the majority of hard-working Brits. As Holly once said "As the days go by, we face the increasing inevitability that we are alone in a godless, uninhabited, hostile and meaningless universe. Still, you've got to laugh, haven't you?" ;)

@kitchensinque Would respectfully suggest that you learn history. King George sold the crown estates to avoid bankruptcy and to provide eternal generations of his family with a pension plan after the American Revolution. The Crown Estates don't belong to the Royal Family, it belongs to the state but the Reigning Monarch by their ascension to the throne claims ownership for the duration of their reign, but no profits belong to the Monarch. France has more profit from tourism so the main arguments that the royal Family cost little is strictly a fallacy. An independent review suggests they cost several million for each active Royal member. Then there are security and taxpayer refurbishments to their property etc...

@e.d9424 Yea, it was the original Norman Lovett although I also love Hattie Hayridge too.
