  2.  Cian MacGana  Africa was looted for centuries which is why it's so poor. A lot more than 1 trillion was looted in gold alone, and same again in diamonds. Millions were enslaved, murdered, tribes turned against each other and borders were created by the European imperialists. Aid is generally reparations, trade deals, bribes, backhanders etc. It isn't just freebies...
