A musical genius and a bard of Shakespearian levels. A Welsh lad made good and did it for the most part on his own while struggling with illness. Good luck to Ren in the future I'm glad to see he's getting the recognition he deserves!

@titteryenot4524 He writes songs not literature, put my comment into context. I'm comparing his story-based songs to the grit and realism of Shakespeare. The understanding of the human condition and the many societal questions we ask. You're entitled to disagree but seriously, Ren is a singer, poet, songwriter, rapper, musician, storyteller/bard, and prodigy in many ways. Just as flawed as the rest of us, as was Shakespeare!

@titteryenot4524 Grit, realism, the human condition and societal questions are 100% of Shakespearian literature. You have nothing more than a petty pedantic argument and an arrogance that assumes you're some intellectual messiah. You're not, you have an opinion and if you don't like my comments simply refrain from posting a response. If you want to hero-worship Shakespeare that's up to you, from my point of view - determined by the hundreds of Authors I've read - Ren's lyricism and poetry is best encapsulated in my comparison.

Can someone find titter a friend? he seems to be one of those self-destructive personalities, faux Bourgeoisie with urban slang. He doesn't seem to comprehend context or language very well yet claims to be a literary aficionado and critic. Some of us grew up on a council estate and as Wilde would say "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars". Titter seems quite content to look at the reflection of the stars in the urine pool he created in the gutter...

Bards were originally Celtic composers of eulogy and satire. Just like Ren. It seems Titter not only doesn't understand the word bard but hasn't read or understood Shakespeare...

@titteryenot4524 PS I've had a wonderfully challenging, intelligent, enlightening and erudite debate. But this wasn't it!

@titteryenot4524 PS everything you are you owe to your parents, why not send them a pound and square the account?

@kellyt5341 He does seem very petty and jealous. He thinks considering Shakespeare at the top of the literary tree isn't ubiquitous. I won't reply to him again, it's pointless to waste time on pedantry. Every other person on YouTube just looks for things to disagree with, it's mundane. Anyways, nice to meet a fellow Ren fan, take care!

@titteryenot4524 No, I've already clearly stated he's flawed like the rest of us, as was Shakspeare. So your mention of hagiography seems to come from a lack of understanding of the written word. Which suggests your petty pedantry is one of your few skills. Take your erroneous assumptions, absolutist rage and lack of understanding to someone who cares. As Bob Dylan once said, "It ain't me babe!" PS I find pedantry about as much use as attempting to teach a whale to fly or a fish to roll a fatty...

@titteryenot4524 lol arrogance, pedantry and patronisation. I hope your life is as nice as you are ;)

@titteryenot4524 I know you from your lack of wit and intellect clearly displayed in this post. If you don't have the wit to reply in kind spare me your facile faux good intentions. For someone with all the likeability of a used tissue, I'm forced to assume my initial judgment of you was accurate. Have a wonderful day! PS Feel free to have the last word, I really don't care enough about you to continue this trite discourse.

@philmckenna5709 Everyone thinks Shakespeare is at the top of the literary tree, therefore it's a ubiquitous opinion (everyone assumes it to be true, it's everywhere)...
