  1. Why did so many die? because of corporate greed, lack of forewarning, but mainly because people can't live underwater. There's a moral there for future generations...

  2.  @Wilsnap  Corporations that make dams, houses, flood barriers, exploit terrain and change the course of rivers or create flood plains via deforestation, corporations who pollute the ecosystem, causing global warming that caused the loss of 65% of global genetic diversity at 1,000 times the natural rate of extinction. I could go on, but let's just accept the fact that even so-called acts of God are predominantly influenced by human activity...
