All of those people could be adding thousands per person in taxation per annum and costing nothing while filling the worker shortages in agriculture, the NHS and other industries... Processing them would be a boon to the economy while detention is a drain...

@@CalmlocketThose costs are due to a lack of processing. We give away £3.7 billion every single week in corporate tax losses, corporate welfare and corporate subsidies. There is no reason for the British public to suffer poverty other than corporate greed, we can be generous to deserving migrants who contribute to our economy and still thrive as a nation. You should be aiming your ire at tax-dodging corporations and a corrupt government that hands them your taxes!

@DropdudeJohn Stop reading the daily fail, they aren't illegal until they've been processed and turned away. Seeking asylum is not illegal and they can use any means to get here and pass through as many countries as necessary...

@qetoun They are but they're stuck in a detention centre awaiting processing Which is why we have 100,000 staff shortage in the NHS despite doctors and nurses applying and fields full of unpicked produce. @@helpmboab2034 It's called research, the NHS has a staff shortage of over 100,000 and Doctors and Nurses while trained people are being refused working visas and citizenship. Migrant workers are happy to fill the job shortages in agriculture but we don't have freedom of movement anymore. Wages are pushed down by greedy corporations who get over £2 billion of your taxmoney every single week. A little research would show you who the real enemy is...

@qetoun No, your guess is obviously facetious. I mean processing them by international agreements and legal frameworks that are in place to decide legitimate cases.
