All strikes are ideological in that without the right to take action workers are nothing more than wage-slaves. While the main goal is a fair day's work for a fair day's pay, the battle against domination from the government and corporate bullies is in the interests of all workers.

@DropdudeJohn They train for 10 years to become a GP and around 14 years for a surgeon. Then have to deal with an average schooling debt of £50-90,000. Many Barristers, Solicitors, Executives, Marketing and Sales people earn far more for a less necessary job many of whom did far less than 4 years of training with minimal debt. Doctors are essential to the health of the nation and the NHS is currently understaffed with over 100,000 vacancies. Many Doctors and Nurses can earn double in Australia, Canada, Germany etc.

@DropdudeJohn After 14 years of training to become a surgeon they have 20-30 years of paying off student debt. The comparisons to other countries are adjusted, they are a direct comparison. I'm not wasting any more time explaining to you the evidence is clear in the strikes and the vacancies... Your personal opinion is irrelevant as it's based on anecdotal evidence...

@DropdudeJohn PS The average doctor takes between 20-30 years to pay off their student debt. So they obviously aren't paid a fair wage...
