To those who accuse supporters of Corbyn of being a cult: not about the man - it's about integrity and ideology! anyways off to pray to a 10ft effigy of Corbyn: Our ideology, that art for everyone, Socialism be thy name. Our time will come as Capitalism is undone. On Earth, as it is inevitable. Give unto those your daily charity and forgive us our profits. As we forgive neoliberals who use profit against us. And lead us not into greed, but deliver us from monopolies. For thine is dialectical materialism, class struggle against the Tories. For ever and ever, Ahem...

@stevec700 Thanks to Corbyn the party enjoyed the biggest swing to Labour since 1945 and he increased membership from around 200k to around 580k which made Labour the biggest party in Europe. Corbyn also turned party finances around to create a surplus within 2 years. Starmer has reduced the LAbour membership by over 25%. Corbyn has always been on the right side of history... Tabloid talking points and opinion pieces are for the politically illiterate...

@MrBirdistheword444 I'm a council estate lad who grew up and I've spent 2 decades discussing politics in order to counter tabloid mythology and to get the working class to stop binge-watching TV and start taking action. Net migration is responsible for growth, immigrants contribute more in taxes than they take out in benefits. Look at the last thread on migration that Tim posted an hour ago, I've posted lots of facts about the economic benefits of migration...

@MrBirdistheword444 PS "Without net migration, Britain would currently be facing even bigger tax rises and even bigger spending cuts than it is now." That's from a well-known rightwing tabloid from last month.

@MrBirdistheword444 lol can't even argue with such nonsense. You misrepresent me and regurgitate tabloid mythology, why would I bother to credit your comments with a reply? Did you not read this? "I'm a council estate lad who grew up and I've spent 2 decades discussing politics in order to counter tabloid mythology and to get the working class to stop binge-watching TV and start taking action."

@nickbarton3191 Thanks Nick!

@stevec700 You mean Brexit and Starmer and his centrist buddies torpedoed Corbyn while the tabloids did a character assassination on him. Again all you have is tabloid opinion pieces, sad to think you're so easily led...

@MrBirdistheword444 Take your prejudice to someone gullible enough to fall for it. We have £2.7 trillion national debt, a GDP of over 100% earlier this year, we gave £120.1 billion in subsidies to corporations in 2021 and our GDP is roughly 3 trillion per annum. The Tories are responsible for over 3/4rs of our national debt. they're responsible for crashing the economy and responsible for the huge losses and generational debt from Brexit. Including the loss of over £115 billion per annum in trade with the EU...

Corbyn also turned party finances around to create a surplus within 2 years. If Starmer and his gang of paid lobbyists had got behind Corbyn we wouldn't have a Tory government now asset-stripping Britain and giving us generational debt. Starmer has reduced Labour membership by over 25% in the first year and a half of his leadership.

@MrBirdistheword444 Your diatribe is anti-immigrant propaganda while you mention white working class, then blame Labour for a certain scandal. While ignoring that 90% of institutional abuse was due to white wealthy lords and business leaders who the Tories let off when Theresa May lost the dossier! There is no logical argument against illogical prejudice! Debating people like you is like trying to teach a whale to fly or talking a trifle into sentience...

@stevec700 So you admit you're a Tory voting sponge who has no consistent ideology and is therefore a political illiterate with no fixed views...

@stevec700 lol and yet three reports proved that is erroneous. AS should not be tolerated or used as a weapon. The EHRC report clearly showed there was no systemic AS in the Labour party. The 2017 and 2018 parliamentary reports clearly show less AS in Labour compared to the Tory Party, UKIP and society in general. It also clearly shows AS was reduced under Corbyn. "The Home Affairs Select Committee of Parliament held an inquiry into antisemitism in the UK in the same year and found "no reliable, empirical evidence to support the notion that there is a higher prevalence of antisemitic attitudes within the Labour Party than any other political party" PS ideological and logical consistency go hand in hand, you either support small government with privatisation and deregulation or you support national industry, normal government and controls on the banking sector.

AS shouldn't be tolerated, it also shouldn't be used as a weapon and reports shouldn't be misinterpreted by tabloids. The EHRC report clearly showed there was no systemic AS in the Labour party. The 2017 and 2018 parliamentary reports clearly show less AS in Labour compared to the Tory Party, UKIP and society in general. It also clearly shows AS was reduced under Corbyn. Why would those 3 reports be misrepresented? Why was no similar argument made about Tory leadership? Why were the Jewish members of the Labour party not allowed to air their views in the tabloids? "A letter signed by over 200 Jewish members and supporters of the Labour Party, states that under Jeremy Corbyn's leadership the party has become a "crucial ally in the fight against bigotry and reaction," including anti-semitism."
