...and discuss who has caused the most damage to British society.

A government with such contempt for the health of the country should face criminal charges...
13
Yay, I love a good bit of flag-waving. Nothing like seeing a nation bend over backwards for an aristocracy that bleeds them dry through the crown estates and overseas territories and its lack of transparency...
13
Yellow neoliberalism, Red neoliberalism, Blue neoliberalism...
13
Economic challenges for the UK public caused by Rishi- I think Rishi will be fine...
13
Those poor mercenary contractors, opioid suppliers, construction companies, arms manufacturers, oil companies, specialists, bankers and greedy politicians. They're going to have to find another country to loot. Look out Iran!
13
Boris is doing a wonderful job, so focused and intelligent and he hasn't dropped the ball yet. Well apart from as Mayor, and then as PM during the pandemic, and then the fraud, oh and the law-breaking, the dodgy government contracts and the never-ending lies...
13
@ANDREWHALL28 Privatisation only came in the 80s with Thatcher and her neoliberalism. Before that all national industry was nationalised, it's the default. We now pay £93+ billion per annum in corporate welfare and subsidies to support privatisation and billions in bailouts. I'd rather have self-sufficiency and no they weren't unprofitable. The Tories did their usual defund, run down and then offer private finance as a solution...

So i can't mention the game monopoly or my comment gets deleted/filtered?

It's a dic move by Belarus. But Poland sent troops to Iraq and Afghanistan creating these refugees as a member of Nato, signed agreements in 2004 regarding immigration and refugees when they joined the EU and have to let them in under international law. They can process them legally and refuse asylum or they can leave the EU and renege on their agreements...

It's spelt Brexit...

The challenges the NHS faces: The Tories, who have always been the bane of the NHS...
12
Are we still pretending economics is completely arbitrary? just checking...
12
Alright, let's put this Cummings row into perspective shall we? Who here hasn't visited Barnard Castle and driven around 260 miles a couple of times during lock down and in a pandemic, while full up with a deadly virus to give their elderly parents a hug? Exactly!!
12
@thebear4880 Yes, Debt is owned and therefore wealth, that wealth is owned by the corporations and the wealthy Tory donors. Tory borrowing created hyperinflation. Our money is used to enrich their mates.
12
Yes, Keir Starmer is the man to lead the party, but the party he should be leading is the Lib Dems because he certainly ain't no leftie...
12
Not really, corporate responsibility is the main problem. Individuals contribute a fraction of the CO2 industry contributes. No matter how hard we work on an individual basis, we will never be able to offset the damage by corporate entities who have little respect for legislation, taxation or governments.

Here come the Oompa Loompas to defend their King...

While I agree we need to reduce air pollution, especially in big cities. Putting the focus on the taxpayer instead of industry is a cop-out. Decent public transport would obviously help, but essentially UK air quality is predominantly affected by corporate pollution - transport, energy production via power plants burning fossil fuels, factories, waste plants etc. Industrial air pollution costs the UK taxpayer between £3.4 billion and £9.5 billion a year - according to the European Environment Agency.

A nice orange jumpsuit would look good on him, it would go with his face... Bigly!

Only people who've had amnesia for the past 13 years...
12
Agreed, They're spending £84 million on the vaccine, that'll buy a small lab and a few virologists. Still I guess spending £93 billion per annum on corporate welfare and subsidies to billionaires and their tax dodging corporations is more important than us peons.
12
So passionate about public services that we are going to cut even more money from the struggling services. So less tax then? no, your taxes are still going up!
12
Why is this even a discussion? Taxpayer money is not a pot of gold for shareholders. We should have nationalised energy and supply our own needs. Self-sufficiency in this day and age is a must...
12
The petrodollar has left the building. UK becomes the US. Free Britney - actually on second thought-free Assange as Britney hasn't really done much for humanity...
12
lol, profiteering from those who can't afford new cars. Another tax o the poor - while those who own the businesses that pollute will drive their brand new cars without paying daily charges...
12
The European convention of human rights clearly states "Everyone has the right to freedom of expression. This right shall include freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart information and ideas without interference by public authority and regardless of frontiers." So stop deleting my comments!

Considering unemployment payments are only £1.56 billion per annum while corporate tax dodging costs the taxpayer £40-120 billion per annum, while corporate welfare and subsidies cost the taxpayer over £100 billion per annum (even more after this budget), I'd say the rich are fleecing the poor's taxes to top up their offshore bank accounts...
11
I'd have to say the main issues include 13 years of lies, corruption, incompetence and complete contempt for the electorate and political system.
11
Profits from the crown estate belong to the state/parliament. The sovereign grant may come out of those profits but that is a generous benefit payment. George III gave up the rights to the crown estate in 1760 to avoid bankruptcy and received an annual grant known as the civil list. His descendants still get that grant although it's now called the Sovereign Grant. This means we've been supporting his family for 263 years, the longest-running welfare spongers in British history...

Tory cabinet re-shuffle = replacing currently disgraced Tories with previously disgraced Tories...

"The Tories have run the country with all the compassion and decency of Fred and Rosemary West. The NHS is their patio!"
11
What a fake, pointless photo op. Spend 5 minutes serving a few people then he's gone. Who believes he wanted to be there or that he spent any time at all with the crew? who believes his presence was a help? What a dumb world we live in...
11
Priti "Oh pretty Vacant" Patel...
11
The poor can't afford to spend £2,500 per annum and they need the help most. The price cap only helps those on decent wages who can afford to use central heating, the rest us will continue to suffer the cold and still have to spend £80 a month on electricity just to run the basics...

She was asked which part of Africa she was from, and she said she didn't have any records (her ancestors were transported as slaves to the Caribbean and had no documentation of their original country). She was then asked about her Nationality to which she replied born in London, I'm British. Then she was asked where 'her people come from' to which she replied her parents came here in the 50s. She was then told she was Caribbean. To which she replied I'm of African heritage, Caribbean descent and British nationality... It's a shame people can't read the story and the transcript before commenting...
11
What's he remembering? how his family faught with their relatives in Germany? Respect to the anti-fascists who defeated the threat of global tyranny. And here we are with the same types of people rising to power globally on the backs of lies. Never forget?
11
Hooray for rich people and their toys. If only they'd stop parasitically bleeding the Earth dry for joy rides we could solve humanity's problems and start to explore and utilize the infinite resources of the Universe...

The thing I like about Boris is
11
How do the police show remorse for excessive brutality? by doubling down... Jebus
11
Operation hostile environment more like. Oh, I forgot these are mainly rich Afghans who helped the allies loot their own country, they have so much in common with the Tories...
11
Negotiating? Do normal people often get the opportunity to negotiate arrest for crimes committed? Flawed justice and wealthy privilege...
11
PM lies and goes back on yet another promise.
11
What we need is more profiteering in the NHS, some of our taxes are unfortunately still being used to treat and heal people rather than going to shareholders...
11
It should be nationalised and the cost can be recovered from the £100 billion given away in subsidies and corporate welfare out of taxes every year because of privatisation, not to mention the constant price hikes and bailouts...
11
I'm going to guess they'll be some buying, selling and maybe some manufacturing...
11
lol, sure thing. He either didn't get the numbers or was told his return was not acceptable by the party. While I don't want the Tories in power, at least having Sunak as PM will upset the neanderthals...
11
My first reply on this video disappeared with the video, my second reply is filtered. My reply to someones else's comment disappeared as did their comment. Talk about narrative control...
11
Thatcher reduced industry to purge the left and Unions of power in a Pinochet inspired attack while putting our eggs in the London fiscal basket. Since then the Tories have turned us into a global hub for laundering the criminal elite's cash for them. Land of dopes and Tories.
