  3.  @fatfat1877  Thatcher and Reagan gave birth to neo-liberalism - privatisation, bank deregulation, tax havens. Privatisation adds another layer of admin and profit requirements to any business, the taxpayer essentially picks up the bill for shareholder profits. Bank de-regulation is the reason we are hit hard by the financial crisis. Tax havens and off-shore accounts deprive the treasury of billions per annum. Almost half the working population live in poverty... Thatcher's attack on worker's rights and the ability for workers to have a voice is the reason we're all on minimum wage, insecure employment and have 0-hour contracts...
