We had a much better service before the Tories took over in 2010 and things have degraded since then considerably. The Monarch has access to those estates during their reign but they are owned by the state and all profits belong to the state/taxpayer. Having said that I'm 1/4 English on my paternal grandfather's side so have to blame my own ancestry in part, which is like having ancestral cognitive dissonance. China has created hundreds of billionaires recently and the amount of billionaires globally has risen by factors in the past few years.   417.  @yungamurai  I've been veggie since I was 16. I worked in a butcher's shop for about 12 months on weekends and before/after school and later full-time for about 6 months. Visiting slaughterhouses and carrying half a cow or pig on your back brings home the reality. But I've nothing against subsistence hunting (as you said provided it's ethical and humane). I can understand rural communities not wanting masses of 'outsiders' turning up on their doorstep, but to be fair the hunters bring them because of their attitude, pomp, pageantry, cruelty and archaic choice in pastimes. For a mostly banned 'sport' it seems far too prevalent. My problem isn't with subsistence hunters and hopefully, they use every part of the animal skin, bones, feathers etc. and not just the meat. My problem is with feudal landlords continuing their practices despite public outcry and a corrupt government who turn a blind eye.
