  290.  @rulebritannia3147  You missed my comment always contained the word 'If' I only said if. As for your history I'll give a brief recap: The oldest DNA found in Ireland suggests that Celts from the Iberian peninsula settled there between 10-15,000 years ago. They also settled here in Wales, in Scotland and in Cornwall through trade routes or by coming directly from Ireland. I won't go into Edward VI or the reformation by James I. But later the Cromwellian invasion in the mid-17th century through English imperialism and the English (Anglo-Saxon) aristocrats took large swathes of arable land or were given them through titles. Two centuries later this led to famine as the English aristocrats attacked the Irish and threw their babies into the sea during a brutal effort to further subjugate Ireland. A similar story to what the English did in Wales and Scotland. For example, in Wales, we had villages flooded to provide reservoirs for England, my coal mining ancestors helped to fuel the Industrial revolution. We had the 'Welsh not' as my language and culture was being beaten out of children in Welsh schools. And a history of strikes leading to hungry Welsh miners being told they'll have their bellies filled with lead by Churchhill in Tonypandy and industrial crimes that led to the disaster in Aberfan. Having said that I'm 1/4 English on my paternal grandfather's side so have to blame my own ancestry in part, which is like having ancestral cognitive dissonance. Hope you enjoyed your lesson on the history of your claimed people, although you should have noticed the 'IF' and pointed out your Celtic heritage when first challenged!
