Comments by "Steve Parker" (@steveparker8065) on "Truss vs Sunak: Key moments from Tory leadership hopefuls' first official hustings" video.
Considering the state of Britain at the moment with its multiple crises in the NHS, economy and cost of living. Choosing between Truss and Sunak is akin to having to choose between Fred or Rosemary West to babysit your kids...

@Willywin Labour was infiltrated by the centrist Blair and since then has moved further to the right. Starmer is funded by corporate lobbyists and so isn't someone I admire or would vote for. However, even Starmer is better than the Tories. Besides, the Labour party got us out of the slums by providing social housing, gave us nationalised industry and gave us free medical care and free schooling to ensure our children no longer had to die of curable diseases...

@suzesiviter6083 The world is what it is, unless Brits grow a pair of balls and take back the power from wealthy elitists we're stuck having to choose the lesser evil.

@suzesiviter6083 As a leftie I've been advocating marching on parliament and no10 to remove the Tories for years and take back control of the system from the wealthy. Labour has sold out in the 90s and Starmer is funded by corporate lobbyists and so not much different. Unfortunately, people in Britain are too apathetic and also blackmailed by their mortgage, energy requirements, food needs, bills, jobs, debts etc as well as being far too busy binge-watching their favourite show on Netflix...

@Willywin Tories have been in power predominantly and have created over 3/4rs of our national debt. The right to buy was a con which ended with a cheap sale to desperate people who eventually sold their houses to private landlords. Over 40% of the houses sold under the right-to-buy ended up in the hands of Tory donors - private landlords! Can't be bothered to correct the rest of your nonsense because it's too politically illiterate to credit with an answer... Keep listening to right-whinge think tanks and their revisions of history all you like, it just shows how gullible you are...
