Government: Pay us taxes and we'll build national infrastructure such as roads, hospitals, schools, police stations, parks and industry. Citizens: Ok that sounds fair. Government: We have to raise taxes to provide the same infrastructure we used to provide you as corporations aren't paying their share. Citizens: Erm... The services are being run into the ground and now those tax-dodging corporations own all the infrastructure we paid for. Government: Yea, erm sorry about that, we would give you a share of the sales but we need it to offset subsidies we give to corporations. Citizens: Ever heard of a guillotine?

@stuartpenman6387 The workers pay tax as we have no option, corporations cost us between £40-120 billion per annum in lost taxes it's called the tax gap. On top of the corporate subsidies, corporate welfare, bailouts and tax breaks that cost us hundreds of billions. NHS Trust provides Healthcare while companies can produce many types of services and goods. If you have any other pointless questions or points of little interest feel free to do research and improve your comprehension skills. I love corporate apologists...

Agreed, the thing is most people seem to miss the fact that pivatisation only came in the 80s with Thatcher and her neoliberalism. Before that all national industry was nationalised, it was the default. Nationalised industry is a country being self-sufficient and all profits go back into improvements and making the services cheaper. We now pay £93+ billion per annum in corporate welfare and subsidies to support privatisation and billions in bailouts. They've used the same defunding, run down and call for private finance scam on all our infrastructure.

@stuartpenman6387 I'm 50 and not interested in educating you. You don't understand basic fiscal terms or even how mathematics works. You are simply not up to the level of understanding to make debate worthwhile. You call me a kid when you use capital letters for whole sentences and know nothing of punctuation. If you think lost profits or lost taxes are irrelevant then you don't understand how the economy works. You can't even formulate a sentence... Come back when you reach sentience...

@Just A Pleb lol thanks for stating the obvious and acting like it's some sort of revelation. Some of us have been around far longer than you bud...

@Just A Pleb You're not special bro and no one is impressed by your reasonable grasp of English. Do pay attention: Money is simply a human construct that allows a tiny minority of people to control the vast majority of the world's 'actual' resources... Democracy has never truly existed and the media write the script for society and we unwittingly play our part, they predict the future and we become the self-fulfilling prophecy... Laters...
