I just love the way those wonderful Tories are helping the energy company cartel's shareholders to keep up bumper profits by loaning the taxpayer £200 (out of their own taxpayer money) to pay the extortionate prices while giving the shareholders a big boost to profits in October. Which will leave the taxpayers with a £200 debt so that they will struggle even more in the following years. Yet they present this as a generous gift to taxpayers. Genius! you have to admit the Tories are extremely good at ripping off the taxpayer and presenting it as a good thing.

@fredatlas4396 I think he meant a bailout for the energy companies that aren't needed because they are already making bumper profits. But I agree with your points. You're absolutely right about the extreme poverty being forced on the taxpayers and workers.

@fredatlas4396 Not to mention the loss of £9.1 billion from taxpayer money that could be used to combat the living cost crisis. There are 27.8 million households and that times £200 is £5.5 billion, Boris just said in PMQs the scheme will actually cost £9.1 billion So I'd assume that an extra £3.6 billion is administrative costs. Over 1/3rd of the cost of this scheme is admin generating debt to the taxpayer and increased profits to government contractors!

@ktwine7994 Only 13.9 million Brits voted for the Tories. The turnout was 67% meaning just under a 1/3rd of eligible Brits didn't vote. Then take into account Tory's media control through their donors and FPTP system...

@annmariesim1405 Agreed, Having a Royal Family is like owning a really expensive breed of dog that only eats gold, can't do any tricks, has an expensive medical condition due to inbreeding, barks and growls at you when you approach and then shits all over your house... and also lives for centuries.

@johnlewis9745 Firstly Conservatives had 43.6% of the vote, that isn't most people. Secondly, I'm gripeing but didn't vote Tory. Thirdly, the media was highly critical of the opposition, while neglecting to report the mass corruption, lies and failures of the tories.

@johnlewis9745 The Queen isn't even subject to the laws, not that I mentioned the law regarding her. As for being a figurehead, we do not live in a democracy, Britain is a constitutional monarchy...

@johnlewis9745 From an article you may like to read "She exercises extensive soft power by influencing government policy and bills before they are introduced to parliament. Her power is exercised behind closed doors, and is more potent because of it."

As outsiders, the Tories do reasonably well understanding us human beings...

@silversurfer328 And then the excuses start: I only voted Tory 'coz I want Brexit done. I only voted Tory 'coz Jezza's a terrorist! I only voted Tory 'coz I don't want a hard left government! I only votedTory 'coz I can't use critical thought and the Daily Mail, Express, Telegraph, BBC told me to...

@annmariesim1405 Yes, I'm aware. Democracy has never existed, politics is the curtain that covers the disappearing lady while she exits through the trapdoor, an illusion...

@johnlewis9745 Trade unions were crushed by Thatcher with the destruction of industry and a never-ending stream of legislation to make standing up for worker's rights illegal... Corporations on the other hand use lobbyists to bribe politicians to overturn democratic decisions made by the public...
