@billsmoke3929 I've been on an urgent waiting list for over a year m8 and have been to A&E 3 times this year. I think even 8 hours is an underestimate. People have waited twice as long for an ambulance when having a heart attack. What the Tories have done to the NHS is criminal...

Between 2010 when Tories took power and 2019: The rate of extra investment has fallen by 68%. 16,481 fewer beds in hospitals. 66 A&E and Maternity wards closed. 103 NHS Walk in centres closed or downgraded. 60 ambulance stations closed. 1,000 GP practices closed. 5,000 less Mental Health Nurses. The number of NHS beds has halved between 1987 and 2019

@pbysome Between 1997 - 2007 Labour only borrowed around £130 billion and reduced our debt to GDP ratio by 4%. In a similar ten year period between 2010 - 2020 the Tories have borrowed £1 trillion 10x the amount! The Tories are also responsible for 3/4s of our £2.7 trillion national debt. The Global Financial Crisis was caused by bankers and the bailout was voted for by both sides of the house... Blaming Labour is economically illiterate Tory mythology...

@pbysome That was joke used by a previous Tory administration who left the country in a bad way that the Labour chancellor repeated. It's an ongoing joke between opposition chancellors. The FT article of a few years after the gold sales showed that it was the right move, as it saved us money in the long run. @pbysome lol we left the gold standard in 1931, the USA left the gold standard in 1971. The borrowing period I compared was 1997 - 2007, and 2010-2020. The Tories borrowed 10x the amount of Labour in the following 10 year period, not much difference in inflation. PS I left Labour when Blair dropped clause 4 and renamed them New Labour but I'm defending the truth, can't stand the man!!
