It's really very simple. If you want to pay £8,000 to have a baby or remortgage your house to cover the cost of a life-threatening illness then let your apathy allow the Tories to continue to outsource the NHS to the highest bidder while profiting from our NHS budget while your taxes go to shareholders. If you want your taxes to go to actual treatment and paying NHS salaries at a competitive rate to reduce the massive shortfall in staff and continue to improve the quality of service then support the nurses! How much do you enjoy living?

@the1beard Italy, Spain and Portugal have close copies of our system and New Zealand and Malta take a lot of the inspiration for their system from the NHS.

@the1beard You obviously know nothing about the legislation brought in in 2012 that allows for-profit organisations to suck profits from the NHS budget, to suck profits from your taxes. The reason for the bloated management and admin on huge salaries is outsourcing brought in by the Tories. Not to mention Blair's PFIs and the Tories increasing the duration of those PFIs to 2035 while adding a second round via PFI2. Read the history of the NHS and follow legislation if you want to make an informed comment...

@Justifying I've heard the same tabloid nonsense from many people claiming it is their neighbour. Unemployment payments cost the taxpayer £1.56 billion in 2021, just unemployment benefits. While corporate subsidies cost the taxpayer £120.2 billion. That's over £2 billion every single week to tax dodging corporations. Start looking at facts and stop the pub gossip, I'm not interested in your anecdotal evidence, only facts! You allow the Tories to rip you off while blaming nurses, or your fake neighbour, or a situation you don't understand. Learn to read something other than tabloids and stop bothering me with your petty jealousy!
