Comments by "Steve Parker" (@steveparker8065) on "Asking the most Brexit place in Britain about the cost of living crisis" video.
Brexit has given us all the same benefits as the Blitz without the need to bother a foreign nation. Rations, economic collapse and the reduction of infrastructure, what more could we ask for?

It's the erosion of British culture that most people are complaining about. How are we to drink German and Belgian beer and then go for an Indian curry or Chinese meal when foreigners are spoiling these cultural norms of British society? Where will the Greek kebab and Italian restaurants find trade if we allow this migration of culture from other places? The erosion of our Middle-Eastern religion and our Arabian currency and numeracy are being hastened by an influx of migrants which is destroying our Greek democracy...

@bazza5699 Potholes are predominantly imported from the EU as a way to get back at us for leaving the economic union. I've often caught various Europeans at night spreading potholes all over the country roads when they think no one is looking!

@yehldyehld Let's be fair, Brexit has only cost us a few £trillion, our prestige, standards, morals and trading relations. While polarising the nation, risking the GFA, risking the Union, breaking international law and leaving a sizeable debt for our great-grandchildren. It's not that bad!

@markohenry5891 No m8 you were told it was about immigration to get you on board. Yes mate, it was about tax avoidance. The lack of transparency on the crown dependencies and overseas territories allows the wealthy and corporations to avoid taxes. Britain is responsible for the majority of corporate tax losses globally. After the Panama scandal, the EU brought in the Tax Avoidance directive that would have put an end to that, had we stayed in the EU. The wealthy including the non-dom tabloid owners and Tories who had been named in the Panama papers Johnsons, Camerons etc would have lost their ability to dodge taxes. Cameron begged the EU to exclude Britain from the directive and they refused. So he came back and announced the referendum as it was the only option left to the wealthy. Then they sold it to the public with lies about sovereignty and immigration, taking control back etc. We always had the option to control our borders and to negotiate deals with the EU. We always had the ability to choose our laws, the only restrictions were ones we agreed to so we could trade and have free movement ourselves. British lawyers drafted the ECHR and many other things that EU countries agree to - border policies, human rights, animal welfare, food standards etc.

@vincentmckenna1755 Yes mainly students coming back after travel restrictions were lifted, would you rather they paid for their education, food and accommodation in another country? OR is it the Ukrainians that we helped out that bother you?
8
@ince55ant Can't you sealion someone else or make comments longer than a short phrase which explains little? If you want devolution and independence from the UK state your country and your reasons. As a Welshman, I'd be happy to go independent and drop the Tory aristocrats...

@jonsimmons4150 Our trade deal with Japan has cost us by lowering exports to Japan. Good old Truss. You haven't made a point mate, you've just typed childish nonsense that isn't relevant. Japan hasn't lost prestige by leaving the EU in fact they made a trade deal with the EU in 2019... As the EU's second-largest trading partner Japan buys $70 billion worth of goods and $28 billion worth of services from the EU... Doh!
7
@UCZM9bvpLwLh91Nsa8uxePRg I see you don't recognise sarcasm and irony...
6
@RickyHarding You have trouble understanding the words currency, numeracy and democracy I see... A little salty that my comment highlights the problem?
6
@emilymcplugger Maybe he needs a nice cup of Indian or Chinese Sovereign Tea. Then a walk to the sunlit uplands to feed the unicorns.
5
@danielwebb8402 560,000 people emigrated from Britain this year alone, without freedom of movement we are trapped here, subjects of Etonian aristocrats!
5
@ecoworrier 100% bro! We are an amalgamation of concepts, cuisine, philosophy, numeracy and language from all over the globe, something we should be proud of. If not the methods by which we acquired those things.
5
@davidbrettle4547 Agreed, we look back at that time as one of the worst times of suffering for Brits and yet now worse is inflicted on us by our own government. The British public needs to get a backbone instead of the chocolate eclair that stands in its place.

@RickyHarding During the crusades mate and on the back of classical mythology...
4
@tickledeggz It's a fresh post m8, I didn't include mention of ska and two-tone from Jamaica/Caribbean and I didn't comment on how accurate those cuisines are to their original. The main thing I love about social media is the number of petty pedants that inhabit it...
4
@nifapz9596 Don't tease me! lol. Having a Royal Family is like owning a really expensive breed of dog that only eats gold, can't do any tricks, has an expensive medical condition due to inbreeding, barks and growls at you when you approach and then sh%ts all over your house... and lives for centuries...
3
@soutteruk1 I'd rather he went back to the reject bin in Jim Henson's workshop from whence he came!
3
@vincentmckenna1755 560,000 people emigrated from the UK this year, that would be impossible without migration on both sides...
3
@jonsimmons4150 Is that the place with the big tower and the headless monarchy? Make a point or continue to waste your own life posting asinine comments...
3
@markohenry5891 Brexit was nothing to do with immigration and we never had unlimited migration. The truth is = Panama Scandal (Which named Camerons and Johnsons) - EU tax-avoidance directive - Cameron negotiates with the EU to exclude the UK - Comes back with tail between legs - then used a destructive magic spell "Referendum gratuitous" ...and the rest is history.
3
@andrewmills509 He won't give you any but I got some Brexit benefits: It helped uncover shadowy groups such as the E-R-G. Has shown how good we had it under the EU. Shows how flawed the system is. Shows how data mining the public helps to steer and manipulate them to vote against their own interests. And has also shown how important the lack of transparency on our overseas territories are to the money men.
3
@RickyHarding No they got their tin from somewhere else... We traded with many cultures including the Greeks, and the evolution of ideas and the evolution of materials do not need a host to travel. Why are you being so petty and pedantic in an effort to defend xenophobes when I'm clearly ridiculing them by pointing out their hypocrisy?
3
@RickyHarding What? I've been using these arguments for decades and have been sealioned by much more worthy foes than you. I've spent decades making memes, jokes, satire and humour. If all you have is accusations then run along. The evolution of ideas and materials are building blocks in the evolution of humanity. Does Archimedes get a percentage of profits when an invention used his geometric theories, laws of buoyancy, and displacement?

Brexit is a snake eating its own tail, an ouroboros of infinite multi-faceted clustfks that feeds itself...

@viperzvapourz4738 Always got Vera's if you got 'erbs...

@RoderickTheRed PS if you really want the truth this is something I wrote which you can verify yourself with a little research! "The lack of transparency on the crown dependencies and overseas territories allows the wealthy and corporations to avoid taxes. Britain is responsible for the majority of corporate tax losses globally. After the Panama scandal, the EU brought in the Tax Avoidance directive that would have put an end to that, had we stayed in the EU. The wealthy including the non-dom tabloid owners and Tories who had been named in the Panama papers - Johnson, Cameron, Rees-Mogg etc would have lost their ability to dodge taxes. The more the wealthy and coprorations avoid taxation the more the tax burden falls on us to pay their share. All countries have to agree to compromise by following international law to be part of the EU and gain the benefits from the trading block and to ensure that citizens rights are protected. British lawyers drafted the ECHR and many other things that EU countries agree to - border policies, human rights, animal welfare, food standards etc."

@RickyHarding Must hurt, having that stick jammed up so far...

@RickyHarding PS learn about humour and how arrogance is a trait of the ignorant. I love the way Brexit has improved the lives of Brits up all over the Union. How smooth the transition was and how quickly all the border, import and export issues were solved. I was especially pleased with how little money was spent on administration and how the UK's standing improved on the global stage, especially in Europe. There were virtually no financial losses and the pound keeps soaring ever higher. The UK has become unified and we all feel a closer kinship with the world. It's like a dream come true and there were hardly any teething problems as you'd expect with such a huge endeavour. Not to mention the extra investment we now provide the NHS as a result. The Tories protected the GFA at all costs. They made a plan right at the beginning and stuck to it all the way through, for a seamless transition, without aggravating a precarious peace. While implementing border controls that were easy to understand and smooth sailing for all involved. So glad we didn't lose any of the trading deals and relationships that took decades to build. An all-around success story for the UK. Now all that's left to do is to sit back and enjoy all those wonderful benefits with a nice cup of Sovereign Tea and a trip to the sunlit uplands to feed my Unicorns...

@IbrahimMohamed-kw7vi It's a parody of British xenophobes mate.
2
@vincentmckenna1755 How many students bring their families with them? Go back to the planet you came from. Seriously...
1
@vincentmckenna1755 Studies have shown Immigrants contribute more to the economy than they initially take out. We paid over £120.1 billion to tax-dodging corporations in 2021 in subsidies alone...
1
@ince55ant If I judged you incorrectly feel free to say, however, your name came up as 'UCZM9bvpLwLh91Nsa8uxePRg' on my other comment and both were posted within seconds so I assumed you to be sealioning me. Happy to apologise if I got it wrong.
1
@Al-Hunt What? try being specific about the part that troubles you. I've made many replies!
1
@andrewmills509 :)
1
@gnrseanra9070 lol in The UK had the greatest decline in 2020 growth was -11%, so what you're really asking is am I aware that we clawed back 7.5% of the lost 11%? Try again bud, I understand economics...
1
@ferret9800 Annibyniaeth Nawr✊ Brother!
1
@RoderickTheRed One simple fact proves your lies. Immigration is higher under the Tories than it ever was under Labour. It's higher now after leaving the EU and after the Tories have been in power for 12 years. So you believe in lies! and are willing to impoverish yourself based on those lies... What does that say about you?
1
@RoderickTheRed That's all Tory propaganda mate as the immigration stats prove. I'm a council estate lad who grew up and learned the truth. I don't have any interest in economics, politics but I do have an interest in British people standing up to the wealthy aristocrats who rip us off and lie to us!
1
@RoderickTheRed Trust me what I've posted is well-known and considered the primary factor in Brexit, it's also proven through a logical timeline. However, as those who profit from it are the tabloid owners, the wealthy and corporations it isn't widely published.
1
@resonate3987 lol are you completely ignorant? We got debt, a lower GDP, shortages, a corrupt government and no benefits from Brexit...
1
@Dan_1348 All democracy is Athenian-based democracy from the 6th century... Then I realise you are joshing me - fair enough our democracy is an illusion while aristocrats subvert it for profit!
1
@Dan_1348 Fair enough, you could have said that :) Our parliamentary democracy hides under a constitutional monarchy. Long live feudal serfdom!
1
@evolassunglasses4673 lol thank you, now try again but this time try to type something witty or intelligent...
