This is where I draw a line. You can't have rich people forced to suffer the indignities of everyday annoyances like the rest of us! Rich people are special and deserve every luxury my poverty can provide them!

With energy prices being so high and bumper profits for these corporations, I'm surprised anyone would defend them... Not to mention the ecological damage they've done over the decades...

@alanhat5252 If there was any money behind these activists they would be promoted on TV in the media, the newspapers etc without resorting to these tactics... The fact that this is their only way to get coverage of these issues speaks volumes to anyone with logic...

@RoryMacdonald-pfff No, I'm just trying to figure out why so many seem to be defending the oil companies. They've ignored the damage they're doing since the industrial revolution and caused the loss of 65% of global genetic diversity at a thousand times the natural rate of extinction. I'm assuming they don't want the human race to join that list.

@brynleytalbot778 We only produce 46% of our own energy through renewables. We buy our energy from Norway via the Nord Stream pipeline. Most of our North Sea assets were sold by the Tories. It seems you are one of the 'uneducated' ones...

@charlottewalnut3118 The oil companies pay politicians via lobbyists to ignore environmental concerns, protect them and avoid compensation for the damage. The protestors have tried for 4 decades to go through the system, laws, and every type of process imaginable. You can't deny they are on every news channel getting the message out. I think their methods are easy to knock and I wouldn't do it, but they have no other choices as we are risking the future of the species by allowing the wealthy to continue. When things become even more unstable globally the poor will perish in their millions, while the wealthy will pay for self-sufficient bunkers, cruise ships and occupy any viable land available. It could be as soon as a decade before large parts of the world are barren, underwater, deserts or unable to support life through other catastrophes.

@ashleygarnett8840 Oh yes kind Master... I'm glad we still have a ruling class to pay for - who lord it over us while we sweat and toil just to pay our bills. So glad we didn't evolve beyond a monarchy and are still treated like serfs. Makes me proud to be an illiterate peasant, happy to vote for the continued inequity...
