Really? It makes you sad? All the problems in the world are perpetrated & perpetuated by (a)the corrupt, wealthy-class knaves with their corrupt RW-politics, and (b)the working-class dupes who support the corrupt wealthy-class & their corrupt RW-politics.
The corrupt wealthy-class uses social-politics as a way to distract working-class people from the equally important realm of economic-politics.
As long as the corrupt wealthy-class & their corrupt RW-politics are allowed to exist & persist, that same corrupt wealthy-class will continue to try to divide working-class people with social-politics like race, sex, gender, religion, and more.
Because the wealthy-class knows that as long as working-class dupes are fighting with each other over social-politics (race, sex, gender, religion, and more), then the working-class will be too distracted to stop the wealthy-class from enslaving the working-class people via economic-politics.
Vote RW-extremist Repubs, for the fast-open-road from Capitalist-enslavement to Fascist-enslavement.
Vote for the moderate-RW Dems, for the slower, disguised-road from Capitalist-enslavement to Fascist-enslavement.
BOTH parties are bought, owned, bribed, & controlled by the corrupt wealthy-class & their corrupt RW-politics. And working-class dupes continue to vote for them BOTH.
The US is FILLED with working-class dupes who (a)are incapable of comprehending their own humanity (let alone the humanity of working-class strangers), and (b)continue to vote for RW-extremist Repubs, moderate-RW Dems, and inviable third-parties.
This corruption of economic-politics has likely been going on since the invention of currency, and it's been a staple of the US since Europeans stole the land and committed a gen-o-cider against the rightful owners.
This corruption has LITERALLY been going on your entire life -- it's time to get over being stupefyingly-sad and move it along to being righteously-mad.

Don't despair, @bboldt2 -- It's okay to cry. Just because you cry, that doesn't mean you are not strong. I consider tears to be a sign of strength -- it takes strength to care for others -- and your tears express the depth & strength of your caring. So, do not shun the tears. Welcome the tears as proof of your humble humanity.
Instead, be wary of those who do not cry. Because the absence of their tears is a sign of the absence of their humanity, which has been either (a)taken from them against their Free-Will (these people are victims), or (b)given away of their own Free Will (these people are suspects).
The suspect-people who don't cry, who have given away their humanity, and who take humanity away from others, should be exposed & rehabilitated.
The victimized-people who don't cry, who have had their humanity taken from them, should be welcomed & rehabilitated. But they will also need rehabilitation of a different kind than the suspect-people.
Don't you dare let the suspect-people take away your humanity, @bboldt2, and don't you dare give it away of your own Free-Will. You keep on caring for others, and let those tears flow. You are welcome here. ✌🤟✊🙏

Everyone does it in their own time, at different paces. These "breakthroughs" or "epiphanies" happen at various points, in different stages. Don't let yourself be derailed by plateaus or valleys. There will still be bad days, but better days are ahead.
Look forward to the part of the journey when you find that you're no longer feeling negatively about yourself, but, instead, you're feeling righteously-angry at the people who (a)fashioned a system that facilitated your traumas, and (b)are continuing to fashion that system which is afflicting other people with traumas, as much as, and worse than, they afflicted you.
Be well. :)

Anyone not advocating for a decrease in GDPs and Consumption is just a RWer, whether they realize they are or not. The Green Party is NOT advocating for a decrease in decrease in GDPs and Consumption, because it's a RW-shill operation.
The Green party is just like the Libertarian Party, the Tea Party, and the Freedom Caucus. They are ALL bought, owned, bribed, & controlled by the corrupt, wealthy-class authoritarians & their corrupt RW-politics. Just like the RW-extremist Repub party and the moderate-RW Dem party.
Working-class people need to stop voting for, and stop striving to be like, wealthy-RWers.

@itsirrelevant4565 Hey, thanks for the acknowledgment.
I actually stopped listening to Jimmy Dore when he went after Ana Kasparian for wearing a skirt that was so short that she flashed everyone at work -- which caused me to also lose respect for Ana.
Subsequently, that whole drama-fest was about the same time that Ana started to pedal the same RW-apologia as Jimmy.
Apparently, allegedly, Ana was assaulted in public, and that traumatic-event seems to have broken her brain so that she now believes that caging(TORTURING) troubled working-class people, for the profits of the wealthy-class, is the solution to all of the RW-induced problems in society.
And I can't take someone seriously if they think that more corrupt RW-politics (like caging/torturing humans for profits) are the solutions to the societal-problems that are caused by the corrupt wealthy-class & their corrupt RW-politics. More RW-politics are NOT the solutions to the societal-problems that are caused by RW-politics.
IMHO, Jimmy & Ana are just a couple of working-class dupes who are trying to make it into the corrupt wealthy-class by latching onto the anti-working-class & pro-wealthy-class teats of corruption RW-politics. Again, that's IMHO, of course.
Again, thank you for the acknowledgement.
And sorry for the rant -- I know not everyone knows who Ana Kasparian is, and I know that not everyone agrees with me if they do know her.

@logicallydashing Your expectation that the oppressed-descendants of oppressed-ancestors -- who are experiencing new-oppression in the present, while still experiencing the ripple-effects of the old-oppression from the past -- should have a "reasonable reaction" to your privileged-ignorance in regards to the oppression they face, would be blissfully-adorable if your privileged-ignorance wasn't partially-responsible for the continued-oppression that is experienced by the oppressed-descendants who hurt your feefees.
But your "privileged-ignorance" is NOT blissfully-adorable -- quite the opposite. Your privileged-ignorance is abhorrently-deplorable.
The deplorably-abhorrent effects of past-oppression when coupled with the present privileged-ignorance of those who aren't oppressed, is how the new-oppression is able to persist.
The oppressed-descendants of the present aren't so much mad at your privileged-ignorance as they are at the new-oppression in the present.
If you're not smart enough to fully-understand it, then you must AT LEAST have the partial-understanding the that old-oppression from the past still effects the oppressed-descendants, and that those oppressed-descendants are experiencing new-oppression, in the present.
And if you can't/don't/won't understand it, then maybe just STFU while other, better, smarter, & decent working-class people try to remedy the ripple-effects of the old-oppression from the past, while trying to bring an end to the new-oppression in the present.
I long for the days when ignorant people were still smart enough to STFU.

Some(MANY) working-class people are incapable of being woke -- they are too ignorant to comprehend the multi-faceted, multi-layered oppression that the corrupt wealthy-class has imposed, with their corrupt RW-politics, upon the working-class.
In fact, some(MOST) working-class people in the US are so ignorant, they continuously vote for the two RW-political-parties that are bought, owned, bribed, & controlled by the corrupt wealthy-class & their corrupt RW-politics.
In the US, the working-class is so ignorant, they vote for the oppression of others, while also voting for the oppression of themselves. And THAT is exactly what the corrupt wealthy-class has designed working-class dupes to do.
