He has explained it in the past, and his reasoning is the same as other good journalists and reporters who have done the same thing.
In order to get on the "list" for campaigns, you generally have to donate to a campaign. Different campaigns have different lists for different levels of support -- for example, wealthy people get one set of emails from a campaign, and working-class people get a different set of emails -- and Thom only donated a small amount, just to get on the list.
Anyway, after you get on a campaign's list, you start getting the solicitation emails. If you're a reporter or journalist, you can report on the craziness contained within the solicitation emails from the worst candidates.
I actually have plenty of critique in regards to Thom, but this isn't some "hill to die on" when it comes to criticizing Thom. What Thom has done, by donating a measly $15 is not only reasonable and logical, but also helpful.
By spending $15 dollars one-time, and by reporting the craziness, the hate, and the lies, all contained in the solicitation emails from worst candidates, Thom makes it so the rest of us don't have to spend the money to learn about the terrible communications from grifting campaigns and grifting candidates to their supporters. All we have to do is watch Thom to learn about it.
Long-story shortened: He donated (once) to start getting campaign emails so he could report on the craziness of the communications and solicitations of the worst candidates.

Either Bernie has been co-opted as a knave by the wealthy-class, OR he has put a halt on advancing his pro-working-class activities so that he doesn't end up imprisoned by the wealthy-class as they did to LULA, or worse.
I don't want to believe it's the first one, I'd like to believe it's the second one.
I'd like to think Bernie is just acting, or not acting, out of self-preservation.
Bernie was around toward the end of the Red Scare. He also saw what the wealthy-class did to MLK, Malcolm X, and Fred Hampton.
Bernie also knows what the wealthy-class did to Abe Lincoln and JFK, and he knows what they wanted to do to FDR.
When you mobilize the working-class majority against the mob-rule of the wealthy-class minority, "stuff" happens to you.
But Bernie did say that he didn't want to end up like Ralph Nader.
Nader was slandered and defamed into obscurity by the propaganda produced by the wealthy-class and aired all over the "news" outlets that are owned by the same wealthy-class.
So, maybe Bernie sold-out and has been co-opted by the wealthy-class, like ninety-eight percent of politicians have been. It wouldn't be surprising. It would be likely.
No matter which scenario is the truth, Bernie probably wishes he had a legacy on the level of LULA or any of the previously mentioned people.
One thing seems to be sure, though. America is headed down the road into Fascism. Whether it's on the fast-road with the right-wing Republic-party or the slow-road with the right-wing Democrat-party, it's going to happen.
Both parties are bought, owned, bribed, and controlled by the wealthy-class right-wingers
Buckle up.

Robin, you're mixing up Joe Manchin's daughter (she was CEO of an epi-pen manufacturer) and Martin Shkreli who was called the "pharma bro" by the wealthy-class media companies.
Shkreli went to prison (and is now going through the process of being released), but Joe Manchin's daughter walks free. Shkreli wasn't in the in-crowd of the wealthy-class, but Joe Manchin's daughter IS in with the in-crowd of the wealthy-class.
The wealthy-class used Shkreli as a scapegoat to trick working-class people into thinking that corruption doesn't go unpunished. People are too busy, stupid, indoctrinated, or whatever, to realize that in a fair, law and order society, Joe Manchin's daughter deserves the same as Shkreli.
Joe Biden could choose to pursue Joe Manchin's daughter and corrupt Democrats. Joe Biden could also choose to go after corrupt Republicans.
But he won't, because BOTH political parties are bought, owned, bribed, and controlled by the wealthy-class in-crowd. That is the main thing that your memory needs to remember.

Mercer, Adelson, Langone, Hendricks, Uihlein, Schwarzman, Schwab, McMahon, and there are more.
And, since the Democrat party is also a right-wing party: Bloomberg, Bezos, Zuckerberg, Steyer, Moskovitz, Jurvetson, Sussman, and more.
Singer, Simon, Laufer, Marcus, and others.
Remember: right-wing politics are wealthy-class politics.
The Republicrats and Demlicans are bought, owned, bribed, and controlled by the wealthy-class. The leadership of both parties is members of the wealthy-class.

So very well said, Exodus.
It is incredibly saddening, enraging, amusing, disgusting, stupefying, maddening (choose your own adjectives) to listen to Thom every time he explains in great detail -- citing SCOTUS decisions, Legislation, and Executive Orders, calling out by name the corrupt individuals involved -- this "unraveling" of America.
The corruption that Thom explains was set in motion by the same corrupt, wealthy-class white supremacists who started America in the first place.
Thom has explained this sequence of modern corruption events many times, how America went from a country that he evidently once loved and supported into one that Thom verbally critiques.
Yet, no matter how much Thom critiques the unraveling and calls out the people responsible, he still materially benefits from what America is, was, and has become.
Thom also capitulates and downplays the responsibility of a large group of people responsible for perpetuating the wealthy-class, white supremacist corruption in the present -- namely the Democrat party.
Thom can verbally bash the Republic-party and its wealthy-class leadership, and rightly so. Right-wing politics are the politics of wealthy-class white supremacy. But Thom can't bring himself to criticize the Democrat-party and its wealthy-class leadership.
I find it (insert adjective here) to listen to Thom. He explains the modern-corruption of wealthy-class white supremacy and how it has set its roots in modern-America (starting with the Buckley v. Valeo SCOTUS decision of 1978), but then, day after day, he capitulates to the Democrat-party while bashing the Republic-party.
It seems as though Thom doesn't think that the Democrat-party apparatus has become corrupted and co-opted in the same way that the Republic-party apparatus has.
It's like Thom doesn't see or believe that the same wealthy-class, white supremacist corruption that prompted world empires and European Colonialism is in effect today.
Well, I call bullshite.
I don't believe a person can know all the details that Thom knows, yet not understand how the corruption has infiltrated both major U.S. political parties, both of which govern with right-wing, wealthy-class, white supremacist politics.
Thom knows the who, what, when, where, why, and how regarding corruption. But I'm supposed to believe he doesn't see that it has corrupted both wealthy-class political parties and much of the working-class electorate?
Again, I call bullshite.
I think Thom is a knave on the take. I think Thom knows exactly what the Democrat-party has become, but he tiptoes around it because he benefits from the life he has been afforded by the two-party rule of one group of corrupt, wealthy-class white supremacists.
I don't think Thom is wrong in his historical representation of a large grouping of facts. But I still think, at best, he's a foolish, moderate white liberal who MLK warned us about. And, at worst, he's a knave who helps to perpetuate the systemic injustices that MLK fought against.
Honestly, Exodus, I much prefer your historical representation of a large grouping of facts.
Well done, sir.

I mean, we kind of have laws against lying. A person can be sued for defamation, slander, and libel. But a person has to be able to afford a lawyer, or afford to be able to be a lawyer in order to have access to those options.
Of course, there are also laws against lying to law enforcement, some government officials and employees. I think there should be much more stringent laws and higher penalties for law enforcement, government officials and employees who lie, though. And cops shouldn't be allowed to lie to "suspects" or "detainees."
Also, candidates on the primary and general election debate stage should have to be sworn under oath by a judge, like a witness in a courtroom, and they should be subject to the same rules of perjury that any citizen would be. If citizens can't lie to government employees, then potential and current government employees shouldn't be allowed to lie to citizens.
Any lie a candidate tells should be able to be brought for adjudication in a court of law, with expert and professional witnesses proving how the candidate has lied, and the candidate proving how they haven't lied. Guilty verdicts should result in no longer being allowed to hold public office or security clearances. They can be "sanitation engineers."
And all court proceedings should be televised because an informed citizenry is a resilient and connected citizenry. And the citizens should know when they're being lied to. They deserve to have it proven to them, and they should be free from worrying about being lied to by the same person in the future.
Something like that.

Poverty is a byproduct of the manufactured system which we call capitalism.
Poverty is determined, like any other economic or class ranking, by the implementation of a particular economic system.
Poverty as a byproduct is increased, and exponentially so, as the manufactured system is captured and corrupted by those placed in an elevated position within the manufactured system's hierarchy. Whether a person is placed in an elevated position within the economic hierarchy by birthright or by capitalizing on the capturing and corrupting of the manufactured system matters not. The more people on top of the pyramid, the more people needed at the bottom to support those at the top.
If the manufactured system wasn't able to be corrupted, if there were more stringent penalties for the people who seek to capture it, if waste as a positive variable in regards to profit motive, or if we manufactured a less corruptable economic system... If, if, if... Maybe capitalism wouldn't exist as in its current form.
Maybe if our economic system didn't resemble a pyramid scheme, people wouldn't be so upset with it.
If elites weren't so lazy and ignorant, and at ease with being so, we might not need capitalism. Lazy people who didn't want to provide for their own necessities, and enslaved other people to provide their necessities, is where capitalism derives, and why it continues to thrive.
The working class (bottom 90-ish percent of wage earners) has been given the choice to work 8 - 12 hours a day doing work they mostly hate (I read a study recently that said 80% of people are less than happy with their work) so we can buy our necessities, or be destitute. Have a piece of land and pay taxes on it, or don't live.
The elites don't have to worry about such things. Elites have their necessities provided and catered while the poverty-stricken struggle to provide and cater. Elites make money via corrupt capitalism simply due to allowances made by hierarchical birthright or by capturing corruption. With that corrupt money, elites also get to enjoy a life free of struggle.
Capitalism is as old as the Pharaohs, as old as the Asian dynasties, as old as the medieval monarchs and the peasants, as old as the colonist criminals and the natives, as old as the master manipulators and the sold slaves, as old as the employers and the employees. The divide between the capitalist and the citizen is as old as humans cheating other humans, and the creed has always been the same -- do it OUR way or NO way; the elite's way or no way; the corrupt way or no way.
Billions may have been brought out of poverty, but their poverty was manufactured by a manipulated system designed to exploit their minds, to addict them to buy more, to addict them to obtain more. All the while those who have captured and corrupted the manufactured system are manipulating the other facets of the manufactured system to manipulate the billions of people so that they do not care about anything but themselves as individuals. The manufactured system rewards individuals, lures individuals away from the believing they are part of the billions in poverty and into believing that they can purchase their way out of poverty individually, so long as they individually join in the corruption, join the boys club, join the manipulators.
Capitalism works for elites who don't want to work as hard as those at the bottom. Capitalism works to hide and deny those who have been victims of that manufactured system. Capitalism makes it so that people are unable to work and are thus swept into poverty, and capitalism doesn't care, the elites don't care. The elites only need as many slaves as are needed to provide the necessities and additional items that the elites want.
Capitalize all you want. To me, it only means you have a greater need to be moralized.

Ah, yes, ol' Bill -- the third right-wing POTUS after Jimmy Carter.
P.S. That's (1)Reagan, (2)Bush Sr., and (3)Clinton, for those who do not yet realize that there is only one major political party in the U.S. -- the wealthy party.
P.P.S. Look at the SCOTUS decisions (listed below) that legalized corruption and bribery while catapulting the advancement of wealthy-class, right-wing extremism.
1. Buckley v. Valeo (1976)
2. First National Bank of Boston v. Bellotti (1978)
3. Citizens United v. FEC (2010)
4. McCutcheon v. FEC (2014)
These decisions paved the way for the wealthy-class minority to solidify their lordship over the working-class majority.
These decisions allowed the wealthy-class to take control of both political parties by flooding them with money, thereby forming one political party with two different names.
These decisions legalized certain practices within the U.S. that are illegal in other countries with better people. Meanwhile, better people throughout those other countries look on, laughing in amusement/crying in misery.
The wealthy-class further maintains their lordship in many ways.
One way is by producing pro-corporate, pro-wealth, pro-segregationist propaganda to indoctrinate the working-class to manipulate the way the working-class votes, thus molding electoral outcomes.
The corporate media companies, owned by the wealthy-class, gladly distribute this propaganda via pro-corporate news programs.
The wealthy-class and corporations that fund the Repubocrat/Demlican political party are the same wealthy-class and corporations that buy advertisements on television. Those advertising dollars help keep corporate news channels and local stations afloat.
We're not much better off now than in the days of Company Scrip -- which was eventually done away with after the working-class majority stood up to the wealthy-class minority.
So, now there will need to be a working-class reckoning when it comes to Company Courts.
But I won't hold my breath -- most of the working-class majority remain convinced that there are two political parties and that Bill Clinton was on the left.
Aaahhhhhhhhhahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa-aaaaaaaawwwwww-wwwaaaaaaahhh-waaaaaahhhhhhh (from laughing to crying).

No. You're wrong. There are paradigms in politics. And in other, better countries, those paradigms are examined in international and historical contexts. America is, and always has been, a right-wing country, from its inception through today.
There is a left-to-right scale when it comes to economic policy, and there is a left-to-right scale when it comes to social policy.
Left-wing social politics means more freedoms for all individuals -- think, "All People are created equal."
Right-wing social politics means less equitable freedom for certain groups of individuals -- think, "wealthy-class people are better than working-class people."
Left-wing economic politics mean more protections for small businesses and the working-class, and more regulations and taxes on big corporations and the wealthy-class.
Right-wing economic politics means fewer protections for small businesses and the working-class, and fewer regulations and taxes on big corporations and the wealthy-class.
Thom is a member of the wealthy-class. He doesn't want more regulation and taxation on himself. So even if he is slightly left-wing socially, he's absolutely right-wing economically. And just because Thom is slightly left-wing socially, that doesn't mean that American politicians are.
Both American political parties are bought, owned, bribed, and controlled by wealthy-class right-wingers. And Thom adamantly stands up for the leadership of the economically right-wing Democrat party while ignoring the corruption they share with the leadership of the economically right-wing Republic party.
Every POTUS in American history has been a pro-wealthy-class right-winger; Biden, Trump, Obama, Bush x2, Clinton x2, Reagan -- ALL right-wingers. Even FDR. FDR only governed toward the left so that the working-class wouldn't revolt and start lopping off wealthy-class heads in the streets.
Every current member of House and Senate party-leadership are wealthy-class right-wingers, too; Pelosi, McConnell, Schumer, and McCarthy -- ALL wealthy-class millionaires whose campaigns are funded by wealthy-class billionaires. ALL of them are wealthy-class right-wingers.
Ffs, Obama even passed a right-wing healthcare plan that was developed by the right-wing Heritage Foundation for right-winger Mitt Romney when he was governor of Massachusetts.
Any voter who has voted for a red or blue POTUS has voted to advance wealthy-class right-wing economic AND social policies.
America doesn't have a social safety net.
It doesn't have universal suffrage.
It doesn't have guaranteed housing or healthcare.
It doesn't have food or water security.
It doesn't have marriage equality.
It doesn't have racial, gender, or religious equity.
And sure, Thom advocates for those social equities. But when Dems and Repubs have controlled all three branches of government, NEITHER party passed laws to solidify those social policies. BOTH parties have kicked the can down the road. Yet, somehow, Thom and you dupes keep checking the Red and Blue boxes on election day.
Again, when it comes to economic policy, Hartmann is a right-winger. He's not the most right-wing, but a right-winger nonetheless. Just because you can't comprehend it, that doesn't mean it isn't so. In the same way that wealthy-class Americans prevented their chattel-slaves from learning in the past, that same wealthy-class has prevented you wage-slaves from learning in the present.
You moronic Americans have allowed yourselves to be governed by TWO economically right-wing political parties. You fall for the theatrics of the wealthy-class right-wingers who are presiding over a political monopoly they've dressed up as a duopoly.
The wealthy-class pumps out the right-wing propaganda on MSNBC, FOX, CNN, and OAN, and you rubes buy the red and blue like you're going to a sportsball game.
While working-class Americans remain duped, the working-class in other, better countries laugh at you because you can't comprehend it. The American Overton-Window is like the windows in the low-rate quarters on a cruise ship.
If you working-class rubes don't wise up and stop voting for imperialist, wealthy-class right-wingers, the other, better countries of the world will get tired of your imperialist crap. Those other, better countries will rise up and do the same thing to America that they did to imperialist Nazi Germany.
And the wealthy-class right-wingers in America will sneak out the back door, leaving you working-class dupes holding the back. Just like the wealthy-class, right-wing Nazis did to the working-class Germans.
Calling Thom a right-winger was forgetful on my part -- I forgot that most working-class Americans don't know the difference between social and economic political spectrums. I overestimated that you would be able to assign the correct spectrum to the context of my writing.
I'm sorry I forgot about your deficiencies and overestimated your intelligence. It won't happen again.
Now, pull your hat up over your eyes so you can see which direction the international contexts of politics are going. And stop running face-first into the future of your demise. Turn sideways so you can look backwrrd to learn from the historical contexts of politics while you slowly proceed forward with caution.
Good luck.

@pinchebruha405 Even though I understand what you're getting at, no, they shouldn't. See Article 3, Section 3, Clause 1 of The United States Constitution.
Treason is a unique distinction of crime -- having very specific definitions, with very specific actions needing to take place for the crime of treason to have been committed, and very specific punishments -- and it should stay that way.
The wealthy-class have certainly captured and corrupted the government, but they have not declared war on it. They need to maintain the appearance of a government so that they can keep the "monopoly on violence" that the state has. They need to be able to mobilize the government against the working-class people.
Additionally, the Supreme Court is packed full of right-wingers (even some of the "liberal" justices side with the wealthy and corporations). So even if there was a lower court who would hear the testimony of "two or more witnesses" (as required in The Constitution), there are plenty of higher courts, and the SCOTUS, that would reverse and decision by a lower court.
Furthermore, none of the corrupt wealthy people would admit to their corruption in open court (as is required by The Constitution). These people will go to their graves before they give up their cushy standards of living.
Lastly, there are plenty of other descriptions, statutes, laws, crimes, and punishments that have been enacted. Those laws which are already in place should be used and strengthened.
But don't hold your breath.
The best hope for the working-class majority to retake the government from the corruption of the wealthy-class minority is through peaceful and democratic means.
If the working-class majority chooses violence, then the wealthy-class minority will use the government to respond with violence against the working-class.

I read/saw the report the other day, by someone who went through and analyzed federal-election campaign-funding records for the last 5 or 10 years, something like that, and they found that the split between Repubs and Dems for receiving campaign-funding from the healthcare industry was 55% Repubs and 45% Dems.
Sadly, most of the working-class doesn't know that. Obviously, we won't ever hear a wealthy-class Fascist-disguised-as-a-Republican or a wealthy-class Republican-disguised-as-a-Democrat admit that.
Luckily, though, all of that data is publicly-available (for now).
Thankfully, that data is collected, vetted, interpreted, and redistributed by working-class journalists at independent media outlets that are not beholden to the wealthy-class which owns both of the major American right-wing political parties.
Unfortunately, I can't remember where I saw/read it. I have thousands of links saved, and I even have a pretty good cataloging system, but my dumb-head didn't save that one.

@72marshflower15 -- In the early 1900s, there were some very organized leftist political parties and labor organizations which were set up by the lower-class majority.
Those organized lower-class leftists groups fought very hard, politically, to push for socially and economically equitable policies. Hence, The New Deal and all of its subsequent programs.
The New Deal had such strong majoritarian support that President Franklin D. Roosevelt got on board with it, even though he was a wealthy-class conservative. FDR, like Lincoln, understood the broad ramifications of an uprising by enslaved and disenfranchised people.
Even though FDR was a member of the wealthy-class minority, his support for the lower-class majority encouraged that lower-class majority to re-elect him three times. After FDR died, the right-wing extremists of the wealthy-class began dismantling the organized leftist parties and the New Deal.
By using their wealth, the wealthy-class implemented propaganda and misinformation campaigns against the lower-class leftist parties and The New Deal programs. Not only that, but they also set about changing the law so that no future President could serve more than two terms in office.
The wealthy-class minority knew that a future President could gain the trust and support of the working-class majority by taking a stand on equity and empathy over manipulation and money. Beyond that, the wealthy-class used their purchased-influence to commence the imprisonment, deportations, disappearances, and murders of countless lower-class leftist human beings.
Since then, we have witnessed the solidification of two economic-extremist and socially-authoritarian political parties, both of which are funded and promoted by the wealthy-class minority to the detriment of the lower-class majority.
Through legalized-bribery of the campaign-finance and election systems, the wealthy-class has seen to the legislative the defunding, deregulating, and destandardizing of education for the lower-class. Thus, the result is a large segment of the population with an inability to think critically about how they have been brainwashed and indoctrinated.
Through the successes of fear, hate, and war-mongering propaganda, the wealthy-class minority has convinced the lower-class majority that they, and their neighbors who are most like them, are the creators of their own problems and that no blame lays with the wealthy-class majority who are at the reins of power.
So, to say that there hasn't been a viable third-party since Lincoln is not entirely true. There were, there have been. In many of the other, better countries throughout the developed world, there are presently a great number of viable and successful leftist political parties who represent lower-class majorities.
However, the greatest threat to those leftist-majority parties throughout the world is the same threat that is faced in America. That threat is the mental illnesses of the narcissistic and psychopathic wealthy-class minority. This mentally-ill minority are addicted to material-acquisition, social-status, easy-living, substance-abuse, resource-hoarding, land-pillaging, labor-profiteering, and the human-exploitation of the lower-class majority.
If history is any indicator of the future (which it is), this mentally-ill minority will do anything to maintain their wealthy-class addictions.

Sometimes, this channel is hot-garbage playing into the dumpster-fire of right-wing politics...
Thom: 'What happened to the Republican party over the last five decades?'
Guest: "They cooperated with the infiltration of the government by the corrupt wealthy-class. They allowed for the rigging of elections through campaign finance deregulation, which caused the following effects. They failed to utilize anti-trust protections, even though those laws were still valid. Thusly, they enabled the destruction of rural-America, small businesses, and local banks in favor of big-corporate and mega-financial monopolies. Thusly, they facilitated the demise of public information by handing over control of local newspapers, radio, and television stations to multi-national conglomerates. And the Democrats helped!!!'
Thom: 'Do you have hope that the incoming neoliberal/conservative Biden-administration will change that (even though Joe Biden has been in government for five decades, supporting and assisting in the implementation of the aforementioned travesties you explained)?'
Guest: "I do!!!"
GTFOH...

@Clusterboy It's not corporations that rule. It is the people from the wealthy-class who rule. And, it is not a coincidence that the wealthy-class people who rule, also own corporations. Corporations are the legal-fictions that the wealthy-class has created to shield themselves from transparency and accountability to the working-class people who create the wealth for the wealthy-class.
Right-wing politics are wealthy-class politics, and the individuals who are wealthy-class right-wingers want to privatize/profitize ALL government services.
If private companies that are owned by wealthy-class right-wingers can own the fire and police services, for example, then those wealthy-class right-wingers can jack up the prices and scrape profits off of the working-class.
If working-class families can't afford to pay the fire company or the police company, then those working-class families don't get those services. And if enough working-class families can't afford it, then the wealthy-class no longer has to provide those services. Bye bye fire and police.
Now, you might be asking yourself, "why would the wealthy-class want the working-class to be unable to afford fire and police services?"
The answer is simple. Because being unable to afford fire and police services makes people desperate, and the wealthy-class knows that desperate people do desperate and often violent things.
So, if the working-class people are more desperate and violent, then those working-class people can be thrown into prisons and jails. And the 13th Amendment allows criminals to be used as slave-laborers. And, thus, it is not a coincidence that wealthy-class right-wingers ALSO want to privatize/profitize the prisons and jails.
If the wealthy-class right-wingers have their way, then all roads for the working-class will lead to servitude, either as wage-slaves living in squalor or chattel-slaves living in cages.
And if all working-class people can be reduced to powerless slaves, then those working-class people will have no way to affect changes in society. If the working-class people have no way to affect changes in society, and if everyone outside of the wealthy-class can be controlled as slaves, then the wealthy-class right-wingers won't have to provide any services if they don't want to provide them.
I know that may seem like a lot to digest, but when you finally realize that wealthy-class politics are right-wing politics, and that the wealthy-class right-wingers are trying to maintain and further solidify their power and control over the working-class, then everything starts to make more sense.
The wealthy-class right-wingers from BOTH American political parties want to privatize/profitize the income systems for working-class senior citizens so that those wealthy-class right-wingers will be the ones who get to decide which working-class senior citizens are worthy of an income in old age.
If the wealthy-class get to be the owners of the corporations that administer the income systems for working-class senior citizens, then those wealthy-class right-wingers will get to scrape profits off of the income system for senior citizens until those wealthy-class right-wingers decide to shut the corporations down.
The wealthy-class people are addicted to power. They suffer from the same mental-illnesses as any regular addict. And just like an addict, those wealthy-class right-wingers will NEVER willingly give up their addiction to power.
It is not corporations that rule. Corporations are not people.
It is the class of people with wealth who rule, and they do so purposely and purposefully.
I could go on, but that's a good start.
May The Spirit of Love, Peace, and understanding be upon you and yours, Vernon.

"I feel like people are consuming suffering, unknowingly/annoyingly." (6:36)
Whether she said unknowingly or annoyingly, she's right.
The people who perform jobs in which necessities are not produced, and who do not produce any necessities of their own, are contributing to the perpetuation of profit-systems. Those people are contributing to the perpetuation of the working-class and slave-class of humans who must produce for the wealthy-class. Those people are contributing to the perpetuation of inequality, hierarchy, and slavery, which exploit working-class and slave-class humans for their labor and lives.
The people who DON'T comprehend the suffering of the working-class and slave-class are ignorant. This includes many people within those classes. They should be informed of the injustices which their habits perpetuate so they may have the choice to change their habits.
The people who DO understand the suffering of the working-class and slave-class, but who don't change their habits, are ignorant in a different way. This includes people from all classes. They should be reformed from their habits which perpetuate injustice.
Some people don't understand. They cannot change. They are unknowing.
Some people do understand. They can change, but they lack the will. They are annoying.
As someone who has done many different kinds of jobs, I would offer the following advice. If you want to change your life, where ever you are able, commit yourself to jobs in which necessities are produced. Commit to doing jobs in which food (think farms and markets, not restaurants and bars), clothes (think sheep, spinning wheels, seamstresses, and tailers, not retail stores and sweatshops), shelter (think housing, not hotels and resorts), education (think common/public institutions, not charter/private institutions), and health/child/eldercare (think non-profits) are the goals.

I'm sure we'd have a great conversation in person, John. Maybe, someday, when I join a foot-caravan headed for the safety and sanctuary of the Canadian-boarder, we'll get to meet. LOL
Thanks for your responses. :)
Edit* Long P.S. to follow:
I'm a Christian, btw. I don't go to a church building, but I go to church daily by myself in my own home.
So, yes, I agree with you -- following a preacher who preaches for money and social-status is a huge part of the problem.
But if a person can't read The Bible on their own, it's likely because the education system failed them.
And if the education system failed them when it comes to reading, (I believe) it's because of the same reason that church-businesses have failed them when it comes to understanding Christ.
I believe that reason is the inevitably-corrupting power of money, and the wealthy-class business owners have plenty of both money and corruption.
If people are illiterate and uneducated, they are going to have a difficult time comprehending that they're being misled, whether religiously or economically.
Anyway, I presume I'm farther left politically than most people, because of how I have come to interpret Jesus on my own.
Socialism and communism aren't economic-systems that I fear, but capitalism is. And my fear of capitalism goes right along with my fear of theocratic and technocratic authoritarian social-systems.
Just thought I'd throw it out there, that not all Christians are fear, hate, and warmongers. Not that you implied that they are. But I did. LOL.
Thanks again. :)

Right-wing politics are wealthy-class politics and wealthy-class right-wingers were the politicians in The Confederacy. And, just like the wealthy-class right-wingers who ruled during The Confederacy, the wealthy-class right-wingers who rule today will never willingly give up their addictions, power, and laziness.
It's not surprising that it's been 150+ years and the wealthy-class, right-wing Confederates are still fighting the socioeconomic war for power -- addiction is a perseverent condition.
But, perhaps, the most surprising thing is this: the well-fed descendants of slaves are actively helping the wealthy-class, right-wing Confederates to win the war in the present.
I mean, it is certainly useful to understand the dichotomy between house-slaves and field-slaves -- the house-slaves were used as a tool by the wealthy-class to sow division between the field-slaves and house-slaves.
The wealthy-class owners would give the house-slaves a few extra crumbs, and in exchange, the house-slaves would report the actions of the field-slaves to the wealthy-class owners. And that dynamic is still very much used by the wealthy-class to divide the working-class today.
But there are some house-slaves who have openly joined The Confederacy. And they've done it for a few extra crumbs from the tables of the wealthy-class, right-wing masters.
Candace Ownes, Hershel Walker, Sen. Tim Scott, (uncle)Thomas Sowell, Jessie Lee Peterson, (in)Justice (uncle)Thomas, Kanye, Zirconia and Polyester (that's Diamond and Silk for those who don't get the reference). There are countless others.
And those working-class token-blacks who are helping the wealthy-class, right-wingers to maintain power are no better than the working-class white-dupes who are helping the wealthy-class, right-wingers to maintain their power. Regardless of their race, they are all class-traitors to the working-class.
Wealthy-class right-wingers will never willingly give up their power or addictions, and working-class dupes will continue to idolize and strive to be like the wealthy-class right-wing addicts.
Addiction, power, and laziness are hard drugs.

The oligarchy is certainly united, and one of their main goals is to divide the citizenry.
As long as the wealthy-class are able, they will utilize their wealth to:
1. Bribe politicians.
2. Corrupt the government.
3. Commandeer the economy.
4. Defund, destandardize, and deregulate public education, to dumb-down the working-class students.
5. Prop up the school-to-prison pipeline and the prison-industrial-complex, to continue the centuries-old institution of slave-labor.
6. Promote the police-state and military-industrial-complex, utilizing the worst and dumbest citizens (class-traitors) within the working-class to supervise and punish the better, smarter, and least-fortunate citizens within the working-class.
7. Collude with politicians, at local, state, and fed levels (I.E. via The American Legislative Exchange Council, and many organizations like it, funded by the Koch billionaires, and many other billionaires like them), to create more laws for working-class people to break, which means a greater chance that someone will break a law, which means more warm bodies to fill the beds of the for-profit prisons, jails, and work camps, which are owned by the wealthy-class oligarchs.
...I could go on.
But yes, I agree with the sentiment of your comment.
Jordan Chariton calls it the United Corporations of America. There's a flag and everything. Ha.

His show is supposed to be a reciprocation of the right-wing radio-sphere. He is combating sensationalist theatrics with theatrical sensationalism.
I would argue: SOMETIMES Thom makes good points. But Thom's capitulation to the Democrat-party -- the same Democrat-party that capitulates to right-wing wealthy-class politics of the Republic-party -- is what weakens any of the good points Thom makes.
Of course, political-novices and the "blue-no-matter-who" crowd, who have no sense of class-consciousness, won't understand these complexities.
If one doesn't yet see that the wealthy-class has bought, sold, bribed and controls both Republic and Democrat parties, then one is still politically-asleep. This is why the smarter working-class folks in better countries laugh at America's working-class.
When you come to realize that Thom capitulates to the party that capitulates, then you'll start to question:
Is Thom a fool who doesn't understand that the Democrat-party is the left-leaning arm of the Republic-party?
OR
Is Thom a knave who knows that both parties are corrupt, but he pretends not to know because he benefits from the corruption?
I say the second one.
He doesn't care about the quality of his show, so long as he maintains a certain level of ignorant-viewers, preventing those viewers from realizing that the Democrat-party apparatus IS the Republic-party apparatus, all corrupted and controlled by the wealthy-class.
Thom's a millionaire, and an employer who profits off his employees' labor, by the way. To me, and true leftists, that makes Thom a member of the wealthy-class and, thus, a right-winger by international and historical standards.
Whether a fool or a knave, neither is anything to be proud of.

Make it a law. Call it, "The Oath of Public Trust Breakers and Deceivers Act". (Haha -- The TOP BAD Act-- I hate it when lawmakers try to be cute with the names of laws, just so they can make an acronym, but that's what I did, and I hate myself for it.😊)
All Elected Representatives, Senators, Public Servants, Government Employees, Law Enforcement, Military, and probably some other folks, are considered as in positions of "Public Trust." They ALL shall take "The Oath of Public Trust."
Breaking "The Oath" shall be considered a felony offense, punishable by X-years. (I'm open to negotiations on that, but simply breaking "The Oath" should be deemed a felony by itself.)
So, yes, making untrue and inaccurate statements to the public citizens should be deemed a violation of The Oath.
But it should also be considered breaking The Oath by committing any other crimes -- such as assault, fraud, DWI, and any others -- while in a position of Public Trust.
And, obviously, anyone in a position of Public Trust who tries to cover up, hide, aid, and abet the violation of The Oath or the commission of any other crimes by any other person in a position of Public Trust does also violate The Oath themselves.
Additionally, any crimes that a person commits while in their position of Public Trust should be punished with penalties that are doubled from those imposed on private-citizens.
For example: if a private-citizen would get a penalty of one year in jail and a ten-thousand dollar fine for an infraction, then the people in positions of Public Trust should get two years and a twenty-thousand dollar fine.
And I would go even further with the law.
Once a person has violated the Oath, they can never again hold a position of Public Trust.
Now, here's where I might lose some folks, if I haven't lost them already.
If a person is found guilty of breaking The Oath and violating the Public Trust, that person shall complete their sentences, and then spend X-number of years on probation, during which time they shall be committed to doing the jobs in the community which are, shall we say, less than desirable. (In agrarian societies, those jobs would be sh!te-shoveler or outhouse-emptiier -- those are very official titles by the way.)
A law like that would stop some, but not all, crooks, cheats, and lairs from even trying to obtain positions of Public Trust, and it would reduce the number of people who ARE in positions of Public Trust from accepting the bribery of crooks, cheats, and liars.
I don't think we solved the world's problems, but it puts some of the problems and their facilitators on notice.

They are victims of personal traumas, just like the rest of us, and they have addictions to mitigate those traumas, just like the rest of us. Their drugs of choice are materialism, social-status, easy-living, and power. They need rehabilitation.
If we rehabilitate the rich in the same way they promote the 'rehabilitation' of the poor and working-class, then the rich will be spending a lot of time in cages, which will do little to no good. Caging humans is just another form of trauma that leads to further addiction.
Breaking the cycles of trauma>addiction>punishment>trauma>addiction>punishment>trauma could help the rich and poor alike.
Don't allow anyone to become rich and powerful. Then no one can become addicted to it.
Don't tolerate anyone falling to poverty and powerlessness. Then no one can be traumatized by it.
Don't allow private schools. Educate all people equally to ingrain an actual common-sense within society.
Don't allow children to be traumatized by parents, guardians, teachers, or other children. Then they will be less likely to grow up to become substance-addicts who then pass their traumas on to the rest of society and the next generation.
That might be a good start.
Then as a society, we could concentrate on the real bad-apples whom we wouldn't incarcerate but instead try to rehabilitate.

If he's violent, then leave him.
If he's not violent now, then it's only a matter of time before he becomes violent.
He's ripe for being talked into violence via the instigating and enabling rhetoric of the wealthy-class, right-wing extremists.
The wealthy-class leadership of the RNC and DNC are both apart of that right-wing extremism.
Right-wing economics is, by practice, supportive of the wealthy-class and detrimental to the lower-classes.
The RNC leadership promotes the extremist right-wing politics of economic and social issues, and the DNC leadership is the paid opposition who pretends to fight back.
The only difference between the leadership of the RNC and DNC is the rhetoric they use. Both parties are pro-war, pro-big business, pro-wealthy, pro-corporate socialism, and pro-voter suppression.
I could go on.
Do yourself and family a favor.

Vote for wealthy-class, right-wing Republicans for the fast-road to fascism.
Vote for wealthy-class, right-wing Democrats for the slow-road to fascism.
Both parties are bought, owned, bribed, and controlled by wealthy-class right-wingers.
The anti-working-class, right-wing SCOTUS decisions over the last 50 years -- decisions that legalized bribes by calling them "donations," claimed that corporate legal-entities are "people," and money is "speech" -- are cases that have allowed BOTH political parties to become corrupted by wealthy-class right-wingers.
Educate yourself about working-class versus wealthy-class politics.
Right-wing politics are wealthy-class politics.
Wealthy-class politics are capitalist politics.
Capitalist politics are corporatist politics.
Corporatist politics are fascist politics.
Fascist politics are authoritarian politics.
Authoritarian politics are minority-rule politics.
Minority-rule (mob-rule) politics are right-wing politics.
Both the Repubocrats and the Demlicans are right-wing political parties. The leadership of both parties are members of the wealthy-class. Pelosi, McCarthy, Schumer, McConnell, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump, and Biden are ALL are members of the wealthy-class. All are members of the right-wing.
In contrast:
Left-wing politics are working-class politics.
Working-class politics are collectivist politics.
Collectivist politics are community politics.
Community politics are cooperative politics.
Cooperative politics are democratized politics.
Democratized politics are majority-rule politics.
Majority-rule politics are left-wing politics.

Democracy in the workplace is probably a point of contention between left-wing Wolff and right-wing Hartmann.
Hartmann has owned and operated many businesses across the country (including the show-business he is hosting right now). Hartmann became wealthy by selling those other businesses out from under his old employees. Hartmann wouldn't have been able to do that to his past employees if they had democracy in the workplace. So, it's likely that Hartmann doesn't believe in democracy in the workplace, or Wolff would probably mention the concept.
At best, Hartmann is a moderate right-wing fool. He understands the monetary value that Wolff's presence brings to the show and is happy to keep the profits. And while Hartmann claims to hate right-wing neoliberalism, he is NOT capable of seeing how greatly he benefits from it and how much his benefits result in other people's suffering.
At worst, Hartmann is an extremist right-wing knave (like most business owners). He does this show as a propagandist grift, just like other right-wingers. And while Hartmann claims to hate right-wing neoliberalism, he truly loves it because he really IS capable of seeing how greatly he benefits from right-wing neoliberalism and he actually DOES understand how much his benefits result in other people's suffering, but he pretends not to know.
Whatever Hartmann is, it seems as if Wolff is not allowed to say whatever he wants to say on this show, and only comes on this show to do the best he can with what he's got.
Whether Hartmann is a fool or a knave, there's no way to be sure, and nothing can be done to stop him. But I only watch Hartmann's show to see how the white, wealthy-class, moderate right-winger thinks.
Of course, if Hartmann saw this comment, he would refute it, or he would remain silent and use it as an idea to try to extract some future value out of Wolff by having Wolff discuss democracy in the workplace in the future.

@Traveller
"One can only hope that Trump's supporters are more loyal to this nation than to a traitor."
Think of it from the 'fools and knaves' perspective.
Knaves are elitist, wealthy-class fraudsters. They are traitors, not just to the country and to the people, but to the civility and equality as well.
Fools are the most ignorant and most easily persuadable among us. They are perfect puppets for the knaves.
The knaves are only in this country to make the greatest amounts of money and profits, under the least amount of regulation possible. The knaves are loyal to the corrupted-ideals of this nation. These corrupted-ideals allow the elitist, wealthy-class knaves to make massive amounts of money and profits off the backs and at the expense of the working-class and the poor-class.
The knaves would sell their own mothers and Donald Trump in order to increase their own wealth and keep up their easy standards of living. The same way that Donald Trump would sell his own mother in order to increase his own wealth and keep up his easy standard of living.
The fools, on the other hand, have been duped by the knaves like Donald Trump, but the fools are too stupid to see it. The fools have been tricked and co-opted by the knaves to blame the weakest among us. The fools have been tricked into blaming their own neighbors and fellow citizens who are in the same working middle-class and poor-class as they are. The knaves have gotten the fools to blame immigrants, minorities, and anyone who doesn't look like them. The knaves have gotten the fools to blame anyone who doesn't think in the same faulty ways in which the fools think.
The fools have also been duped into blaming a specific portion of the news media, rather than blaming the corrupt, wealthy-class, elitist knaves who produce, own, and operate a majority of the news media.
In this order, the fools blame:
(1) The poor, the weak, or anyone different than themselves
(2) The news-media journalists and the talking-head pundits whom the knaves have told the fools to blame.
(3) The government (which is supposed to be 'of the people, by the people, and for the people' -- which was bought and corrupted by the wealthy-knaves a long time ago).
The fools are unable to blame the wealthy-class knaves who are responsible for this unequal system whereby the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. The fools are simply too ignorant to direct blame in the correct direction.
The knaves -- the most abhorrent people in the country -- such as Donald Trump and the people in his elitist economic class are surely a force to be reckoned with. But they will remain non-violent toward the majority of the citizenry as long as the economic and political systems are upheld in their favor. But when they feel their grasp slipping, they will likely incite violence here while fleeing to the next best country to produce profits and hoard money at the expense of the working-class and the poor-class.
The fools -- the most ignorant people in the country -- are also a force to be reckoned with. They are simply dumb enough to place blame, and take out their ignorant-angst, on the wrong people. They will take their economic-fueled aggressions out on anyone the knaves tell them to.
Elitist-knaves like Donald Trump might sell their own mothers and neighbors, but ignorant-fools will kill their own mothers and neighbors.
If you're afraid of predictable slavery, then elitist-knave traitors should be your greatest worry.
If you're afraid of unpredictable death, then ignorant-fool traitors should be your greatest worry.
This is just my opinion, based on my non-expert understanding of history, economics, politics, psychology, and sociology.
I hope I'm wrong.

Diane Ravitch and Jonathan Kozol are a couple of authors who have written on this subject. I'm sure there are other valid authors on this topic, and I would be happy to know of them if you have any suggestions.
My brief, non-professional point of view is as follows:
Lower-class kids go to defunded and destandardized public schools. Those kids are cultivated to become good-soldiers and obedient-workers, and, if they're unlucky, subservient prison-slaves.
Wealthy-class kids go to over-funded and deregulated private schools. Those kids are coddled to become human-manipulators and labor-exploiters, and, if they're lucky, demanding-sociopaths.
(Disclaimer: I understand that my explanation is a broadly-brushed verbal-painting that isn't representative of the entire educational-canvas nor every education-institution. Just most of them.)
This dual education-structure is a means to continue the division between people -- to maintain the hierarchical systems of class and caste -- in which the wealthy-class minority continues to rule and reign over the working-class majority.
By separating and segregating citizens, it serves to keep the working-class majority in constant competition against each other -- elbowing side-to-side at the people who they have the most in common with, kicking down at the least-fortunate in society -- fighting for the falling crumbs from the master's tables.
Many people in American society want to gripe about the lack of "common sense" within society, but I find that most of those people don't seem to have an explanation for how to achieve or maintain common sense.
I would argue that a basis for common sense can be found in the pursuit of common goals. Those common goals should be achieved by the utilization of common knowledge. That common knowledge should be obtained by a common education. That common education should be taught by common teachers who teach common lessons, learned by common children who attend common schools.
But again, I'm no professional.

@Randy R Randelson -- You're right. It's a weird world. But, I think your skepticism isn't just warranted. It's reasonable!
I would like not to be skeptical. But, knowing what I know about socio-economic politics in historical and international contexts, I'm well beyond skeptical.
According to Wikipedia (a right-wing source, like most American "news" sources), the ownership of Vice Media is as follows:
Shane Smith (20%)
The Walt Disney Company (16%)
A&E Networks (20%)
TPG Capital (44%)
Soros Fund Management (10%)
James Murdoch (minority stake)
That entire list of owners are members of the wealthy-class.
Wealthy-class politics are right-wing politics. (That statement isn't my opinion. It is the internationally accepted way in which economics and sociology professionals discuss socio-economic politics; I.E., right-wing politics are wealthy-class politics, and left-wing politics are working-class politics.)
That entire list of wealthy-class owners benefits from right-wing economic politics/policies.
This video was about the Proud Boys -- a right-wing organization founded by right-winger Gavin McInnes.
The guest in the video, Tess, works for Vice Media -- a right-wing organization also founded by right-winger Gavin.McInnes.
The outlet Tess works for, Vice Media, is now owned by wealthy-class right-wingers, and, thus, Tess is paid by wealthy-class right-wingers.
And, while Tess may not be corrupt herself, the wealthy-class people who pay her are.
Those wealthy-class people -- the ones who pay Tess -- get to decide what kind of stories are researched and written, and they decide which get printed as articles.
Tess wouldn't have been able to write the right-wing expose` without the consent of the right-wingers who pay her. Now, if that isn't suspect...
Moving on...
Henry "Enrique" Tarrio, a right-winger, has been outed as a gov't informant who was given a good deal of freedom to act in the best interests of right-wing politics -- and let's not forget, right-wing politics are wealthy-class politics.
Internationally and historically speaking, both U.S. political parties are right-wing political parties. In other, better countries -- where they have actual freedom of political-choice -- American Libertarians, Republicans, and Democrats would all be right-wing political parties. They would either be one big-tent political party or member-parties of a coalition.
Thus, it does not & would not matter which party Tarrio is or was part of. His actions have been to the benefit of the wealthy-class right-wingers and a detriment to the working-class.
One of the reasons that the working-class in other, better countries laugh at the working-class in the U.S. is because the U.S. is governed by two right-wing parties, both of which are bought, owned, bribed, and controlled by the wealthy-class.
The working-class majority in other, better countries -- where they understand working-class solidarity and real left-wing politics -- wonder how the American working-class majority could become so stupid as to allow themselves to be governed by two right-wing parties controlled by the wealthy-class minority.
Perhaps you're correct; Vice Media now is different than Vice Media back then. But the right-wingers who control it are the same now as they've always been.
I wish I were smarter so I could better explain what I know.
But, I'm not worried. Because realizing the intertwined corruption of both American political parties, the media, corporations, and the wealthy-class is like watching a film or reading a book in the crime-genre.
Once you see the criminals, you can't unsee them.

Vickie, don't pay attention to the ^children^
Authoritarianism -- now and throughout history -- has been a construct of the wealthy-class.
Wealthy-class politics -- now and throughout history -- is always discussed as right-wing politics.
This is why the rest of the working-class people in the other, better countries throughout the developed world are either laughing in amusement or crying in terror: they wonder how working-class Americans could be so ignorant as to allow themselves to be governed by TWO wealthy-class right-wing parties.
Ignorant traitors to the working-class, like Hugh, are why the working-class people in the other, better countries throughout the developed world are laughing in amazement and crying in mourning for the American-experiment.
Hugh, and the duped rubes like Hugh, have been dumbed-down and tricked into thinking that the Democrats and Repubs are very different -- and there is a difference between the leadership of the parties and the voters who subscribe to leadership's facade of a two-party duopoly which a really single-party monopoly -- but the leadership of both parties are members of the wealthy-class.
Do you really think Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Pete Boot-edge-edge, and Kamala Harris are NOT working-class leftists? They are wealthy-class right-wingers who have track records of harming working-class people.
The Republic-party apparatus is (presently) the dominant wealthy-class party. Republicans champion the policies which benefit the wealthy-class, and in turn, those wealthy-class people donate to their campaigns and political action committees.
The Democrat-party apparatus is (presently) the pretend working-class party. Democrats pretend to champion the working class. But since the same wealthy-class which funds the Republican's campaigns also funds the Democrat's campaigns.
The funds for these campaigns are essentially legalized-bribery. In other countries, campaign funding is much more regulated, in an effort to keep elections fair instead of influenced by bribes from the wealthy-class.
The American campaign-finance system allows the wealthy-class to turn the Democrat-party apparatus into a paid-opposition party, meaning that Democrat-party leadership only pretends to fight against the wealthy-class Republicans. When, in reality, the leadership of the Democrat-party apparatus is actually on the side of the wealthy-class because the Democrat-party leadership is also wealthy themselves.
Dumbed-down Hugh and the working-class people like him are akin to other working-class traitors throughout history who helped to sabotage the working-class at the behest of the wealthy-class. They are akin to the Brown Shirts and Nazi soldiers who went along with the wealthy-class to get along with the wealthy-class.
P.S. Try to think of it this way.
The working-class is the majority of the population.
The wealthy-class is the minority of the population.
Democracies are the political systems that favor majority-rule, and, ideally, in a better democracy, more people would be allowed to vote on more things, instead of just representatives and certain government officials.
Republics are the political systems that favor minority-rule, and historically, in Republics, fewer people are allowed to vote on fewer things, because representatives vote for most everything, even if those representatives are elected by a majority.
Democracies are difficult to corrupt because the wealthy-class can't bribe all the voters.
Republics are easy to corrupt because the wealthy-class only has to bribe the representatives and a few stupid members of the working-class, such as Hugh.
Democracies benefit the working-class majority.
Republics benefit the wealthy-class minority.
America is NOT a working-class democracy of majority-rule.
America is a wealthy-class republic of minority-mob-rule.

In short; we already have "term limits" -- "elections" is what they are called.
But we would certainly be better served by aligning our election and campaign finance laws with the rest of the developed countries in the world.
In other, better countries, American versions of elections, campaigns, and governing would result in prison for many candidates and politicians.
In some of the lesser-developed countries, they even have elections that are more secure than America. Some of those lesser-developed countries also have a greater level of democracy by allowing more people, or all people, within the borders to vote.
Also, we could create laws against lobbying and the revolving door, both of which are utilized by the minority-class of wealthy-employers as a means to repress, suppress and oppress the majority-class of poor-employees.
A recent candidate from West Virginia, named Richard Ojeda, proposed the use of body-cams for lobbyists and legislators. I would be down with that, it would make it easier to decide which politicians needed to have their terms limited in the next election.
The implementation of "term-limits" legislation, without adequate anti-corruption legislation, would most definitely work in the favor of the minority wealthy-class to the detriment of the majority working-class.
Imagine if Bernie Sanders would have only gotten a limited amount of time in office, instead of the four decades he's had. In the last 10 years, Bernie has exposed a great deal of the corrupt policies and practices which have perpetuated the infiltration of government by the wealthy-class, resulting in exasperated inequality and the defeatism of the working-class.
Without Bernie's longevity, the current position of the Overton-window, and the nature of public discourse, would not likely encapsulate the condition of the employee-class majority and the suffering which we are enduring at the hands of the employer-class majority.
That being said; could Bernie do better? Yes. In fact, in some of the other, better democracies, Bernie would be considered a moderate.
But, without the political-clout that Bernie has accumulated throughout 38 years in elected office, it's possible, and likely, that none of the current elected-representatives, who are now following Bernie's lead, would have had the ability nor the platform to step up and start speaking truth to power, exposing the wealthy-class corruption which has co-opted the American government, as Bernie has.
But, because politics in America has been dragged so far to the political right-wing by the wealthy and the employer-class, Bernie is labeled a "radical-leftist" by American political standards. However, in an international and historical context, Bernie would be considered a moderate, and possibly slightly right-leaning.
If the American employee-class majority wants to have a chance against the employer-class minority -- if the majority wants to catch back up with the rest of the developed world -- America needs another 38 years of Bernie Sanders-style of rhetoric to combat the last 100+ years of right-wing extremist rhetoric.
It's going to take more than one Bernie Sanders to drag this country back from the inequity and inequality which has been entrenched by right-wing extremist policies and practices that have been promoted by the wealthy employer-class minority.
I guess that wasn't short, but term limits are not the answer.

The Democrat-Party AND Republic-Party are both bought, owned, bribed, and controlled by the wealthy-class. The economic goals of the leadership in both parties are the same economic goals as the wealthy-class campaign donors. When you learn to accept that, you'll start to see why the Democrat-party appears so useless and feckless.
The Repubs are fashioned to be the dominant party the Dems are fashioned to be the theatrical opposition.
When the wealthy-class Repubs are in power, they always move the country and policies toward the political right-wing, which is a benefit to the wealthy-class and a detriment to the working-class. Because right-wing politics are wealthy-class politics.
Then, when the wealthy-class Dems are in power, they always stop the country and polices from moving toward the political left-wing, which is a benefit to the wealthy-class and a detriment to the working-class. Because left-wing politics are working-class politics.
The leadership of both American political parties is made up of wealthy-class millionaires who are selected by wealthy-class billionaires. They are all right-wingers. From McConnell to Schumer and McCarthy to Pelosi, they are all right-wingers. Reagan, Bush Sr. & Jr., Bill & Hillary Clinton, Obama, Trump, Biden, are all wealthy-class right-wingers.
But working-class Americans are ignorant. They've been made ignorant on purpose by the wealthy-class. Which is why you think the Democrats just don't know how to play tough. The Democrats are playing tough, but they are playing WITH the wealthy-class Republicans and THEY are playing against YOU.
Biden is acting the way he is acting because he's paid by wealthy-class right-wingers to act this way. Biden benefits from the same wealthy-class, right-wing politics as the wealthy-class right-wingers. Because Biden IS a wealthy-class right-winger.

I come to Thom's videos for a neoliberal perspective, which is a moderate conservative perspective. Aside from Richard Wolff's working-class point of view, neoliberal-conservatism is the best you can expect from Thom's show.
Thom, and many of his guests, still toot the horn of the Democrat party, which has become the left-leaning arm of the Republic party.
Thom, and many of his guests, seem to believe that meaningful "reform" can happen through the Democrat party, even though the Democrat party is corrupted by the funding from the same wealthy-class which funds the Republic party.
Just as the wealthy-class promoting Republic party cannot rid itself of the many racist, misogynist, compassionless, nihilistic, supremacist voters, many Democrat party voters cannot rid themselves of the wealthy-class promoting Democrat party. They are married to it, acting as if the relationship were to end it would reflect poorly on themselves within society. They tow the party-line because of how they feel they will be perceived, rather than ending the relationship for the toxicity it breeds in their lives.
There is no viable leftist, employee-labor, or lower-class political party in America. There are two economically right-wing, socially-authoritarian, anti-small business, pro-corporate, anti-worker, pro-employers, anti-poor, pro-wealthy-class, extremist political parties.
Lastly, these short-form interviews do a disservice to the American citizens who are duped into wasting their time by following Thom. Especially when those citizens could be following much more substantive channels and better pundits.
My advice, for what little worth it may have, is to stop wasting your time here. But it seems like you may already realize that.
Good day.

@SclountDraxxer -- I don't 100% agree with you, but it's accurate enough to where I won't offer resistance (wink wink), beyond this amendment to your analogy:
I think the citizen-voters built the gun, and they built the gun with the materials they had access to.
The Republicans and Democrats both controlled the access points to the materials that were available to the citizen-voters.
Then, the Republican-leadership steered the car while the Democrat-leadership pushed the gas pedal.
Then the Republican-leadership held the gun while the Democrat-leadership pulled the trigger.
The jury of citizen-voters were lied to. The judges, prosecutors, and defense lawyers, comprised of political-party leadership, all committed the crime.
If both parties' leadership were a car full of minorities or poor people, they would be spending the better part of a life-sentence in the for-profit, prison-industrial-complex being exploited for their labor.
Both parties are complicit.

@adamwhittaker9620 The caller has a point which he is unable to make succinctly and coherently.
Living under all of the oppressive policies of economic austerity -- policies which are currently propped up and perpetuated by the leadership of both political parties, as both parties are funded by the same class of wealthy owners, financiers, and investors -- it is not surprising that a layman wouldn't be able to adequately and directly identify the sources of their oppression.
The fact that the caller is unable to do this is completely understandable when you come to realize that no average person who works 40-80 hours per week while consuming corporate media can do this.
Considering Thom understands all of the details regarding the SCOTUS decisions of Buckley v. Valeo of 1976, First National Bank of Boston v. Belotti of 1978, McConnell v. FEC of 2003, Citizens United v. FEC of 2010, and McCutcheon v. FEC of 2014, it is baffling to me how Thom is unable to see that the Democrats have simply taken advantage of the legalized-bribery that was advanced by right-wing, economically-Capitalist politics.
Thom's Democratic party of the past is now simply the Democrat party, and Thom wants his party back. Too bad, so sad. That party is gone, and Thom is too old to move on. The Democrat Party of the last 50 years has gotten into bed with the Republic Party of the last 100+ years.
The leadership of the Democrats has become a paid-opposition: The Democrat leadership acts like they are opposing economically-Capitalist austerity-politics of the right-wing, and the wealthy-class continues to fund the political campaigns of the Democrat party's leadership.
It sounds like the caller is trying to blame Democrats AND Republicans. It sounds like Thom, as per usual, only wants to blame Republicans. The positive things Thom claims about Democrats are from a bygone era. Now, most Democrats are merely the left-leaning arm of the Republic party.
Both parties are pro-war to the extent that they both vote to allocate more than half of public spending on the Military-Industrial Complex.
Both parties are pro-caging of humans, then exploiting those humans for their labor, rather than spending public dollars to uplift the downtrodden communities where crimes of necessity are most likely to occur.
Both parties are pro-wealthy and anti-poor, legislating in favor of the wealthy and legislating against the poor to the extent of throwing poor people into the afore-mentioned cages.
Both parties are pro-big businesses and anti-small businesses, legislating in favor of big businesses, knowing full-well that smaller businesses are unable to take advantage of the benefits which are legislatively designed to help big businesses.
Both parties have voted to bail out industries that should have been allowed to fail and make way for newer, better businesses. In fact, after the bailouts which benefited auto manufacturers and big banks, the legislators from both parties passed laws that gave powers to the Federal Reserve and the Dept. of the Treasury to simply "bailout" any corporation or industry without going through Congress. This was a favor to corporations and big businesses, and another nail in the coffin of accountability and transparency in governing.
Both parties have voted to defund and destandardize public schools and deregulate private schools, sabotaging public schools in favor of private schools. The wealthy-class wants to dumb-down the citizens, because the wealthy know that stupid people make better slaves. While upper-class kids go to over-funded private schools, where they are coddled to become resource-hoarders, labor-manipulators, human-exploiters, and demanding-sociopaths, lower-class kids go to defunded and destandardized public schools where they are cultivated to become self-deprecating good-soldiers, obedient-slaves, and, if unlucky, subservient-prisoners.
The rest of the developed world's citizens are laughing, wondering how a country so rich in resources and wealth can also be so rich in morons.
The rest of the developed world's citizens are baffled at how America can be so full of idiots who have been reduced to choosing between two economically right-wing and socially-authoritarian political parties -- in any of the other, better countries in the world, the Republic and Democrat parties would be the same political party or members of a coalition government.
I could go on.
Now, to answer your question.
The rural American has but a few reasons to vote for candidates within the Republic party; they lie better, they cheat better, they pillage better, they fearmonger and hatemonger better, they supremacist better, they blame the sorrows and doldrums of rural-America on anyone but the rural-Americans, they project better, and they the repel empathy, sympathy, pity, and remorse better. It is for these reasons that a majority of rural Americans choose not to vote for Democrats -- that, and Democrats are paid to be a weak opposition.
Ultimately, what Republicans do better than Democrats to earn the votes of rural people is, they play on the fears of a soon-to-be white minority -- a white minority who are fearful that the coming-majority will treat the white people in the same manner that white people have treated others in the minority position.
It took a long time for chattel-slaves in America to gain a modicum of freedom and, in many ways, they are still not free. Some of the descendants of that slavery are still unable to explain all of the intricacies of that enslavement and how its effects remain today.
It may take a long time for American debt and wage-slaves to gain a modicum of freedom, or to even see how they are not free. Some of those who are presently living under this bondage are unable to see it, and some who see it are unable to explain it.
What Thom is doing isn't helping, and this is supposed to be his job.
The caller is trying.
Frankly, what you're trying to do isn't immediately clear. You're not making your point very succinctly and coherently, either.
Maybe you're too busy wage-slaving, just like the caller.

Well, presuming that your inquiry is honest, I'll try to answer it for you. "Why is everything so partisan in the us?" Answer: Because the US political system is a sham, a farce, a theater, and worse. The US has legalized bribery, and bribery is illegal in other, better western countries.
The US has two major political parties. Both of those parties are bought and owned by the wealthy-class right-wingers who have bribed the politicians. Those wealthy-class right-wingers have used their wealth to purchase politicians and infiltrate the government.
Those same wealthy-class right-wingers also use their wealth to create propaganda. Those wealthy-class right-wingers use the media corporations they own to pump that propaganda into the eyes and ears of the working-class.
The right-wing propaganda says that the Republicans are the right-wing party, and Democrats are the left-wing party. But it is a lie. Both American political parties are right-wing political parties. The wealthy-class knows this, but the working-class doesn't.
The propaganda is designed to drive a wedge between working-class Republicans and working-class Democrats, and it works, which is why you see everything as hyper-partisan. But the working-class is too ignorant to see the ruse.
So, while the working-class people fight against each other over the red-team versus blue-team fiasco, the wealthy-class right-wingers are working together behind the scenes to maintain their addictions and the power they have over the working-class.
America's working-class is leaps and bounds behind the other, better western countries, because in those other, better western countries, they actually have multiple political parties, and some of those parties are actually left-wing.
Between the bribery, the propaganda, and the corruption by the wealthy-class, the US is barely a country. If the US didn't have nukes, it would be another tin-pot dictatorship. Kind of like what countries turn into after the US gets involved in them.
Again, to answer your question: Everything in the US seems hyper-partisan due to the purposeful designs of corrupt, wealthy-class right-wingers who are trying to maintain their power and addictions.

@ianperfitt -- Well said. I agree with you.
I was being a bit sarcastic, which I suppose didn't come across as sarcasm.
They want us elbowing side-to-side, or worse, at the people who are most like us, and with whom we have the most in common.
They want us kicking down, or worse, at the people who are the least fortunate, and whom we are more probable to end up like.
They, absolutely, do not want us directing our collective energy toward them -- the perpetrators and perpetuators of a system whereby a few people have so much while so many people have so little -- because they know if we can unite, then their grift will be finished.

Republican and Democratic party leadership; the same coin, but different sides. They have the same corporate and tribal wealthy-class agenda, but with differing levels of subtlety.
Republican and Democratic party membership; same coin, and mostly the same side. They have the same communal and familial lower-class agenda, but with varying levels of ignorance.
The only real difference is that some of the most ignorant folks in the lower-class have been fooled into believing that they are only temporarily-displaced members of the wealthy-class. They are ignorant enough to believe that if they do the bidding, and obey the orders of the wealthy-class, then someday the wealthy-class will allow them into their club.
The wealthy-class political leadership loves these ignorant lower-class conservatives. These wealthy-class intellectual-brutes build their fortunes and empires on the backs of lower-class ignorant-brawns.
As has been the case throughout history, the wealthy-class uses their money as a means to relegate the lower-class into positions of ignorance.
An example of this is; the deprivation of education, which was imposed by the wealthy-class white-Americans on the lower-class Africans during the time of more-direct slavery.
Another example is; the defunding and destabilization of public education, which has been imposed by wealthy-class white-Americans on the lower-class since the creation of the New Deal right up until the present.
The lower-class whites have never been equal with the wealthy-class whites when it comes to the accessibility of high-quality education. The lower-class whites are closer to blacks when it comes to socioeconomic class-status than they have ever been to wealthy-class whites. This was true during slavery and it is still true in the present.
The lesser-educated lower-class, which consists of all races, make up the societal-majority. The better-educated wealthy-class, which consists disproportionately of whites, make up the societal minority.
But because of the manipulative abilities of those who are better educated over those who are under-educated -- because of the power which can be bought through the manipulation of money and information -- the wealthy-class minority maintains their power over the lower-class majority.
The wealthy-class uses its wealth to influence public policy in their favor. They use their influence over public policy to arrange that public policy in a way that manipulates the mass of people into masses of influenced-ignorance.
If a person is ignorant enough, then that person can be easily influenced and persuaded into further denigrating, debilitating, or destructive states of mind and action. Those states of mind and action often progress as follows: Ignorance, fear, anger, hate, violence, murder, and genocide. Each level relies on the previous level.
If a person can be rendered ignorant, then a person can be broken mentally, emotionally, and physically.
If a person is ignorant then they can be fooled into being afraid of other people.
If a person is afraid enough, then they can be coerced into anger toward the people whom they have been fooled into fearing.
If a person is angry enough, then they can be compelled to hate the people whom they have been coerced into anger toward.
If a person is hateful enough, then they can be provoked into violence against the people whom they have been compelled to hate.
If a person is violent enough, then they can be forced into murdering the people whom they have been provoked into violence toward.
If a person is murderous enough -- broken enough -- then they will have no problem committing genocide upon the people whom they are ignorant and fearful of, angry at, hateful toward, and violent against.
Because of this progression of digression, the wealthy-class has been enslaving the lower-class in various ways throughout all of history.
The wealthy-class Republican leadership imposes ignorance upon the lower-class to control them, while the wealthy-class Democratic leadership provides a faux-opposition. Then, every few generations, the parties switch sides and change roles right under the noses of the ignorant lower-class.
For example, in the past, the Republicans have espoused 'liberal' ideology and the Democrats have espoused 'conservative' ideology. But both parties have always been most dedicated to the sustainment of the wealthy-class, white-patriarchal hierarchy.
But the more-ignorant 'conservative' members of the lower-class majority are always the easily compliant aggressors, while the less-ignorant "liberal" members are passively resistant victims.
Lower-class conservatives are ignorant enough to scroll Facebook for memes, but they aren't smart enough to search for meaning.
Lower-class conservatives are ignorant enough to search Facebook for memes, but they aren't smart enough to research for meaning.
Lower-class conservatives are ignorant enough to repeat and regurgitate, but they aren't smart enough to be discreet and separate.
Lower-class conservatives are ignorant enough to say the intended quiet parts aloud, but not smart enough to realize it makes them appear less-endowed.
Lower-class conservatives are ignorant enough to follow, but they're so far behind that they think they're leading.
The intelligent, wealthy-class political leadership love these ignorant, lower-class conservatives because they are so ignorant that they can be convinced turn against the people who are most like them.
The wealthy-class, with a few memes, can convince ignorant-conservatives into kicking down at the least-fortunate and elbowing side-to-side at those who are most akin to themselves, rather than punching up at the wealthy-class who are the perpetrators of the misinformation which divides us and the perpetrators of the inequality which oppresses us.
Combine all of that with the following facts:
1. The wealthy-class of both political parties have been dragging the Overton window to the right-wing for the last one hundred years, and drastically so over the last 50 years, essentially turning Democratic leadership into Republicans and Republican leadership into fascists.
2. In any of the other developed countries -- countries where there are multiple political parties on the political left and right -- where the citizens have actual freedom of political choice, those countries would have Republicans in Democrats either in the same political party or part of a coalition government.
3. In some of those other developed countries, the disparities in the U.S. election system -- from the campaign finance laws to the voter suppression tactics -- would have the wealthy-class leadership imprisoned.
4. The similarities between present-day America, the empires of old, and the Third Reich -- coupled with the discontent which America has sewn around the world -- are too numerous to count.
Anyone with a comprehension of socioeconomic politics in international and historical contexts has got to be able to see that this America-aggression is bound to come to a head sooner than later.
My only fear is that, much like other countries which have become the brunt of international retaliation, the ignorant lower-class of all proclaimed political persuasions within America will be the ones left holding the metaphorical bag while the intelligent wealthy-class sneak out the proverbial backdoor.

Wealthy-class right-wingers have bought and bribed both American political parties. They own and control both parties. This kid is not equipped to comprehend or deal with that.
The right-wing Democrat party will do the same thing to this kid that the right-wing Republic party did to Madison Cawthorn.
Maybe they won't do him as dirty as they did Cawthorn, but there are plenty of ways for wealthy-class right-wingers to get what they want.
They could do the same thing to this kid as they have done to "The Squad" -- silence him. Or they could do the same thing they have done to Kyrsten Sinema -- bribe him. Those are adults, and they have succumbed to corruption.
But even if the wealthy-class right-wingers who control both parties weren't as corrupt as they are, I still wouldn't want this kid, or any kid, controlling anything. We don't need kid-brains. We need adult-brains.
And considering the 100-year assault on education by the wealthy-class right-wingers and how successful that assault has been at dumbing-down Americans, I would prefer the voting age be increased to the age when neurological and psychological experts say the human brain is at peak development -- 25-years-old.
No children with underdeveloped brains should be allowed in positions of control over other people's lives -- no cops, teachers, managers, or military should be under 25 years old.
Pre-developed brains have plenty of work to do in observing, learning, and helping to carry out the democratic will of the people with developed-brains who have already observed, learned, and helped.
Of all the supposed adult-brains who are currently elected to Republic or Democrat parties, I wouldn't follow any of them into ankle-deep water (maybe Bernie). But I'm certainly not going to follow any child-brains either, no matter how well rehearsed their speeches are.
Long story short: I don't want any of the addict-brains from the wealthy-class minority, nor any of the vulnerable undeveloped-brains from the working-class majority, to run for any of the public-offices that dictate the policies which control our lives.

@dannywindham3295 -- Correct.
The directive for the government to spend money comes from Congress, and the Executive Branch carries out that directive.
The money, which the Legislature directs the Executive to spend, doesn't have to come directly, nor strictly, from taxation. The money, which the Legislature directs the Executive to spend, can be newly-printed.
In our ever-increasing state of technocracy, the money can be created, and then digitally deposited into bank accounts, by a few strokes of a keyboard.
The first part has been this way for centuries, the second part for scores, and the last part for decades.
As for the original comment; sure, trees do have something to do with all of this. But the people who usually spout the kind of foolishness in the original comment are the kinds of people who have no problems with deregulating the capitalists who utilize trees for profit-making endeavors, nor do they tend to care about science, logic, reason, the less-fortunate in society -- I could go on, but you get the idea.

@dannywindham3295 -- Sir, I don't mean to be snide, but I agreed with you. I mean, I literally wrote "correct" in regards to what you said.
Maybe you didn't accurately read what I wrote, or maybe I didn't communicate it well, but some of the things I wrote are basic tenets of MMT. I'll reiterate those things below.
1. Government expenditures do not need to come from taxation -- not directly, nor explicitly.
2. The physical money used for government expenditures can be printed by the Dept. of Treasury or released into circulation by the Federal Reserve.
3. The electronic money used for government expenditures can be created by simply increasing the amount of money in government bank accounts by using a keyboard at the Federal Reserve or the Dept. of Treasury.
3a. The electronically-created money can be electronically transferred from government bank accounts directly into the bank accounts of businesses or citizens, which immediately puts the money from government expenditures into the economy.
Disclosure: I am not an expert in economics, but I did study economics extensively at University.
Lastly, my advice to anyone else who reads this would be the following: Go to the Youtube search bar and search for lectures and interviews by Stephanie Kelton for more, better information on Modern Monetary Theory (MMT).
Also, I would recommend searching for interviews and lectures by Michael Hudson for more information on restorative economics, economic equality, and economic justice.
Good day to all.

Thom is as equally as bad at messaging as the Democrat party leadership, but the Democrat party leadership is paid to be bad at it. They are paid-opposition, funded by the wealthy-class. The question is, rhetorically, if Thom is bad at it on accident, or on purpose.
My advice, for what little worth it may have, is to stop wasting your time here.
Good day.

Your statement is exactly the kind of evidence needed to justify why undeveloped child-brains shouldn't be able to run for the elected-offices which create the policies affecting people's lives.
Couple your ignorant statement with all of the other evidence presented by the Madison-Cawthorn's of the world and a strong case is made as to why people shouldn't be able to hold elected-office until at least 25 years old, and probably shouldn't be until 30-years-old.
As a 19-year-old yourself, your job should be to keep your body as healthy as possible to promote healthy brain development, thus increasing your learning capacity. Thus enriching your abilities to observe, report, reflect, reason, and react, not only in local contexts but international contexts, not only in present contexts but historical contexts, as well.
No substance consumption or abuse.
No owning high-powered or high-capacity firearms.
No operating vehicles over a given size.
And probably a plethora of other restrictions that could be set to preserve human-life and mitigate natural-resources.
This means no holding positions of power or authority over anyone.
No making decisions that affect the lives of the more-vulnerable and least-fortunate.
This means no holding national-offices before 30 years old, after the brain has reached its stage of peak development.
If local municipalities want to entrust their communities to the under-developed child-brains, then that could be decided by the adult-brains in a given municipality.
But, if the larger-constituencies at the state or federal level have to come in and save local municipalities because the adult-brains let the child-brains screw everything up, then those local municipalities shall revert to the standard of adult-brains being responsible for holding positions of elected-office.
I'm not ageist, nor am I ableist, racist, or sexist -- I have zero problem electing people younger or more disabled than I am, nor people of a different race, sex, or gender than I.
But I absolutely DO have a problem being governed by underdeveloped child-brains.
This country has been screwed up since its inception, and it is because of the underdeveloped child-brains of wealthy-class addicts who funded the exploration, raping, pillaging, and genocide on this land.
The wealthy-class addicts who funded these atrocities in the past are the same wealthy-class who control America in the present.
The corrupt wealthy-class that has controlled governments throughout history is the same wealthy-class that controls America in the present.
The working-class people of America and the world are already screwed up enough, and it is because of the child-brains.
The child-brained addicts of the wealthy-class minority have co-opted the child-brained, working-class dupes into voting for two right-wing political parties that are both bought, owned, funded, bribed, and controlled by the wealthy-class.
Whether a person is 19-years old or 100-year-old, anyone in the working-class who claims loyalty to either of those two wealthy-class political parties is a dupe who enables the oppression of themselves, their friends, families, neighbors, and communities.
At 19, you're less likely and able to comprehend these things.
At 19, you're more susceptible to being duped and co-opted into assisting the wealthy-class.
I'm not voting for that.
At 19, the best thing you can do, if you're really interested in the policies that affect people's lives, is to educate yourself on the international and historical contexts of socioeconomic struggle, oppression, and liberation.
It is going to take a LONG time to undo the propagandist-indoctrination of the working-class that has been perpetuated by the wealthy-class.
It is going to take a LONG time to sober up the working-class people who strive to be like the wealthy-class addicts.
It is going to take a LONG time to teach and ingrain the class-consciousness and working-class solidarity that exists in other, better parts of the world.
Your job is to learn about these things.
But for the love of majority-rule and democracy, STOP blaming your fellow working-class mates from the previous generation who have been rendered incapable of noticing their own oppression and unable to identify the wealthy-class causes of that oppression.
Your working-class mates are under the control of the same wealthy-class addicts and addictions as you are.
STOP kicking-down and elbowing side-to-side at the working-class people who are most like you.
START punching up.
There are COUNTLESS working-class champions from previous generations who are already punching up, and have been doing so since before you were a couple of gametes.
Just because you don't know about those champions from previous generations who are already punching up, that doesn't equate to everything being left up to your generation.
You not knowing about those champions from previous generations who are already punching up makes you ignorant
The ignorance that accompanies your child-brain is why you shouldn't be able to hold elected-office.
But I love that you care.
I'm getting to be an old man.
I know what happens to the working-class when they have no class-consciousness or class-solidarity.
It's happening in America right before our eyes, with the most modern case-study beginning in the Roaring 1920s right up until today.
I know about the Red-Scare and Red-Lining. I'm getting to the point where I won't be able to run from future iterations of those things. History doesn't repeat itself (that's physically impossible), but history rhymes, and is cyclical.
If something isn't done to stop the wealthy-class, America is destined for similar fates to The Roman Empire and The Third Reich. But before those wealthy-class debacles were defeated, the working-class suffered, and the most-vulnerable and least-fortunate suffered the most.
I'm not voting for anyone who doesn't understand these things.
I would rather vote for no one and accept my fate than vote for the ignorant or the impressionable who can be co-opted into sealing my fate.
As I said, I love that you care. But so do I care. You're not alone.
I care about you and about other strangers too -- particularly the most-vulnerable and the least-fortunate.
I promise, my intent isn't to discourse but to encourage and edify you.
If you made it this far, I commend you.

Thom still believes that the values of the old "Democratic" party are prioritized by the leadership of the party in the present.
It's either that or Thom is in on the act and he's playing dumb.
Thom fully understands the SCOTUS decisions, from over the past 70 years, which have allowed the wealthy-class capitalists to corrupt the campaign finance and election systems while consequently co-opting the politicians to do the bidding of that wealthy-class.
He's talked about those SCOTUS decisions repeatedly throughout the years (even though he only mentions a specific set of decisions while ignoring others). Yet, somehow, he only calls out the corruption of the Republic-party.
So, it's one of a few possible things.
One: Thom sincerely believes that the current capitalist-leadership of the Democrat-party is the same as the leadership, with the same ideals,as when Thom was growing up (in the 60s and 70s). And, so, Thom says the ignorant-sounding things he says at times.
Two: Thom knows that the capitalists who fund the Republic-party are the same capitalists who fund the Democrat-party. He knows that the Democrat-party is nothing more than a paid-opposition whose main goal is to seem as though they are fighting against the Republic-party. But, Thom pretends not to know.
Three: The first two sentences from number two above, but instead of pretending not to know that both parties are corrupt and working in tandem, what we are seeing is Thom treading lightly. Rather than blatantly calling out the mutual corruption of both parties, he merely presents it. Maybe he does this to maintain access to Democrat-party politicians. Maybe he does it to coddle potential or current viewers. Maybe he does it to placate capitalist Youtube executives.
Whether it's one, two, or three, my retort is; "BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! BOOOOOO!!! GET OFF THE STAGE!!!"

@MrJunglebear1 I agree with you, George. However, I stole that numbering system quote from someone else, so I just left it the way it was written by the person who I stole it from. :)
But, yes, that list could be much longer. It should include food and water, and infrastructure.
When I was a kid, my parents were neglectful on one hand and abusive on the other. I ingested multiple poisons on multiple occasions (rat poison, mothballs, ammonia), and my parents didn't bring me to the doctor. They brought me to the neighbor who was a nurse.
So, not only were my parents negligent in not looking after me and allowing me to ingest poisons, but they were also negligent in denying me adequate medical treatment after the fact. (Depending on what you believe in, it's only by luck or by grace that I'm even alive today.)
I believe house calls are still in practice in some places. Within the past few years, I saw a video on YouTube where they followed a doctor who was making house calls. I believe it was out of France.
I believe that house calls are a beneficial practice. If my repeated poisonings would have been documented by a medical professional, maybe I could have gotten taken away from my sh!tty family.
Even though I now realize that going into foster care would have been a gamble, that doesn't negate the fact that I was born into a losing casino.
When I was a kid, I longed for something different. And, even though now, as an adult, I've come to terms with my childhood situation, I still sometimes wish I could have rolled the dice.
Could foster care have been worse than my natural family? Sure. It's a definite possibility. But my natural family was f*kcing atrocious. And there are millions of kids growing up now, just like I grew up, without a voice and no help on the way. I know they wish they could roll the dice, too.
I don't tell that part of my story to besmirch medical professionals (even though my neighbor-nurse was also negligent by not reporting my parents to the authorities). But, I tell that story to agree with you. It would serve society much better if medical professionals made house calls.
Perhaps we, as a society, could help kids who are stuck in terrible situations. Maybe, if doctors made house calls, more children could be saved.
Perhaps if doctors were making house calls, then maybe my parents would have called a doctor to come and tend to me.
But my parents, like many other parents, were/are morons. So, maybe, because of the abundance of ignorance in society, house calls by medical professionals wouldn't have any positive residual effects on the lives of our most vulnerable youth.
Many working-class Americans are ashamed and paranoid. They don't want people coming into their homes to witness their economic hardships and desperation because they are ashamed. And they are paranoid that other people will see their economic hardships and desperation and use it to shame them even further.
The forces of shame and paranoia are as negative as the forces of abuse and negligence. But those forces of paranoia and shame are purposely imposed on the working-class by the wealthy-class.
The imposed economic hardships serve to induce the subsequent mental conditions, such as paranoia, that come with economic desperation. Paranoid working-class Americans want to keep their desperation private, along with the associated shame that comes with it.
America's infatuation with privacy is as manufactured as the economic hardships. The wealthy-class manufactures pro-privacy propaganda, just like they manufacture economic desperation. And it is wealthy-class propaganda that has created a societal deification of "privacy."
Now, some people might ask, "Why would the wealthy-class want to deify privacy? What purpose does it serve them?" And the answer is simple: The wealthy-class, and people in positions of power, want their corruption to be kept private, just like my parents wanted to keep their corrupt neglect and abuse private.
So, propaganda is developed to trick the working-class into making "privacy" an idol. Abusive working-class parents who are in power over their children, exploitative wealthy-class employers who are in power over their employees, and countless other people who seek positions of power over others, all love the idol of privacy.
All of my wealthy-class employers have loved the privacy. My working-class family idolized privacy. My working-class neighbor-nurse idolized privacy.
Privacy, and the people who worship it, have almost gotten me killed on multiple occasions. The idolized concept of privacy and those who worship it allow abuse to continue. And that same privacy also helps to get abusers off the hook for their abuse.
I don't believe in the idolization of privacy any more than I believe in the idolization of "parent's rights." To me, "parent's rights" are in the same category as "state's rights." The nefarious people who glorify and idolize state's rights and parent's rights are the same kind of people who glorify and idolize privacy.
These nefarious people want to have the right to treat other vulnerable people, including children and the elderly, in any terrible way they want to treat them, and they want to keep their terrible treatment of other people private.
The whole of society needs a reboot, at the very least. And, unfortunately, the wealthy-class right-wingers have control over when and how that will happen.
But, I firmly believe that, due to the generations of indoctrination and propaganda, the working-class is not mentally or psychologically equipped to combat the wealthy-class right-wingers nor the power that the wealthy-class has at their disposal.
So, I have become an advocate for antinatalism: for those of us who truly value consent; for those of us who truly value the souls that are being forced into life without being able to give their consent.
And, I have become an advocate for unlimited abortions: for those who can't keep their legs closed to participate in antinatalism; for those who are forced into fornication and pregnancy.
The working-class majority of people have endured hardship, desperation, shame, and pain ever since the invention of monetary currencies by the lazy parasites who would become the wealthy-class minority.
I think we should all do whatever we can to prevent potential-humans from being forced into living in this right-wing hellscape that is maintained by addicts who make up the wealthy-class minority.
I think we should all do our part to "breed out" the parasitic human-race from existence.
...
I'm sorry, George. I've digressed, and then digressed some more. I'll wrap it up.
Even though I love where your head is at, and even though I would do any(non-violent)thing that I could to make the world a more equitable place, I just don't have any hope for life in this world.
I'm putting all my eggs and chickens in the basket of the next life in the next world.
May The Spirit of Peace be upon you and yours, George. :)

Say neoliberalism all you want. Just don't forget to tell people that neoliberalism, like liberalism, is a right-wing economic ideology. Wealthy-class Repubs and Dems are both trying to conserve the economic system of neoliberal capitalism.
Pelosi, McConnell, McCarthy, Schumer, Trump, Biden, Obama, Bush x2, Clinton x2, and Reagan are/were all neoliberal right-wingers.

@ArmenianBishop While you're at it, look up the books by former military Major Danny Sjursen. He is a modern-day comparison to Smedly Butler. He was also a professor at West Point, and there are numerous interviews with him that you can search on YouTube.
Also, the books: "The Brothers: John Foster Dulles, Allen Dulles, and Their Secret World War" by Steven Kinzer and "The Devil's Chessboard: Allen Dulles, the Cia, and the Rise of America's Secret Government" by David Talbot are worth reading.
America is nothing more than stolen-land turned into monarchistic-corporations run by right-wing, wealth-class, nepotistic gangster-addicts.
As for your voting record, I think it only proves your difficulties choosing between the right-wing Republic-party and the right-wing Democrat-party. Both parties are bought, owned, bribed, and controlled by the right-wing wealthy-class.
In America, because the Overton-window is an Overton-peephole, the citizens have been indoctrinated by wealthy-class propaganda to believe that liberalism and conservatism are very different. But in the better countries with better democracies, where there are actual working-class leftist political parties, liberalism is a right-wing ideology.
In those better countries, Reagen, Bush Sr., Clinton, Bush Jr., Obama, Trump, Biden, McConnel, and Pelosi would all be in the same political party or parties to a coalition government. FFS, even the Canadian and UK right-wing political-parties are to the political-left of all the people listed above.
If you voted for the Libertarian right-wing extremists in 2020, that would only further prove your delusion. But, if by chance you voted for the centrist, slightly more working-class Green-party, maybe you're on the road toward recovery.

@rameneater1437 Your statement is exactly the kind of evidence needed to justify why undeveloped child-brains shouldn't be able to run for the elected-offices which create the policies affecting people's lives.
STOP blaming your working-class mates of other generations. They are under the same control of the wealthy-class as you are.
At your age, you're less likely and able to comprehend these things.
At your age, you're more susceptible to being duped and co-opted into assisting the wealthy-class.
I'm not voting for that.
At your age, the best thing you can do, if you're really interested in the policies that affect people's lives, is to educate yourself on the international and historical contexts of socioeconomic struggle, oppression, and liberation.
STOP blaming your working-class mates of other generations. Your working-class mates are under the same control of the same wealthy-class addicts and addictions as you are.

"They" will kill, maim, sabotage, and/or cage as many working-class humans as it takes to maintain their addictions.
You might ask, who "they" are...
"They" are the wealthy-class addicts. They will use their wealth to fabricate pretexts for wars, manufacture false-scarcity, produce propaganda to put on the "news" outlets they own, and numerous other tactics to distract the working-class.
"They" also refers to the working-class class-traitors who are addicts, too, striving to become members of the club of wealthy-class addicts. They will volunteer to fight in the fabricated wars, fear the manufactured scarcity, and fall for the propaganda. They are the working-class dupes co-opted by the wealthy-class. They will murder whomever their wealthy-class masters tell them to.
"They" -- the wealthy-class and the working-class class-traitors-- will never willingly give up their addictions, no matter how many working-class people they have to die.

@ernststravoblofeld Right? It's like, "Vote center-right blue for the slow road to fascism, or vote right-wing red for the fast road to fascism."
I say, F*kc No to both. I'm not voting for any of the evils.
Nancy's underdeveloped, lesser-of-two-evils, line of thinking is why America is a wealthy-class right-winger's hellscape-paradise.
She can go get... Well, you get the idea.
Edit: Both the Repubocrat and Demlican parties are bought, owned, bribed, and controlled by wealthy-class right-wingers. If a person doesn't comprehend that, it's just another indicator of underdevelopment.

+Breaking House - I think you confuse the manufactured state of poverty with the minimalism of simple living.
If you think that the Native American populations -- the murdered owners of this country that colonialism set about suppressing and have since been oppressing and imprisoning -- were living in poverty, you are a fool.
If you think that the tribal people of the present world -- the societies of present-day whose lives are driven by necessities that are obtained by self-labor rather than being driven by necessities and luxuries which are obtained through the labor of others -- are living in poverty, you are a fool.
They were living more simple and more environmentally conservative lives. Sure some natives were also tyrannical in their nature, but they were foolish, egotists by comparison, to the more passive and altruistic natives. The egotist natives are the ones who earned the entire group the label of 'savages' as given by the equally savage, equally egotist, foolish colonists.
Hierarchy exists among fools and animals. Humans are certainly comparable to animals, but it's obvious that we are very different. Humans have the ability to choose ego or altruism, animalism or humanism.
Choosing ego will certainly cause one to digress into an animal-like state and the more humans that choose ego over altruism, the more our society will digress into pack behavior and gang mentality.
Egotists who progress too far into an animal-like state cannot maintain a human pack or a human gang and are thus seen as LESS animalistic than the egotists who can maintain the human pack or gang, which is exactly how other egotists implement an animalistic hierarchy amongst themselves. But all the altruists see are a bunch of poor, sad fools.

@johnpglackin345 ⬅ This is what fools and knaves sound like.
John is either a fool or a knave.
John is either:
A) A working-class fool who really believes the wealthy-class, right-wing, propagandist lies he's spewing, and he's doing the work of the wealthy-class for free because he's been duped...
OR
B) A working-class knave who gets paid by the wealthy-class to knowingly spread propagandist lies; he's pretending to believe the lies in hopes of turning more working-class fools into dupes who will then spread the propagandist lies for free.
But, whether working-class John is an unpaid fool or a paid knave, he's a class-traitor doing the bidding of the wealthy-class.
Whether he's a fool or a knave, neither is anything to be proud of nor aspire to be.
And while we do need to know who the fools and knaves are in our personal lives, it doesn't matter who John is because he's not in our lives directly. The important thing that matters is to realize and remember that John's right-wing, wealthy-class propaganda is nonsense.
If the majority of good people vote for governments, societies, and communities to be based on mandatory charity through taxation and democracy, then it should be so.
I think the good majority of working-class people are tired of living under the mob-rule of the wealthy-class, right-wing minority, and the duped class-traitors from the working-class who have been co-opted to do the bidding of the wealthy-class right-wingers.
I think the good majority of working-class people are tired of the wealthy-class, right-wing kakistocracy always acting like the sh!tt!est kids on the playground, constantly whining about having to do the right thing.
I think the good majority of working-class people are done waiting for the wealthy-class, right-wing overlords to command and incite the dumbest members of the working-class to sabotage their own working-class communities and murder their own working-class friends and families.
Forced Charity, Democracy, Humility, and The Paradox of Tolerance may soon introduce themselves to the right-wing, wealthy-class knaves and working-class fools. Just like they introduced themselves to the right-wing, wealthy-class knaves and working-class fools in 1945 Germany.

@dickcastle Mouth-breathers who have been indoctrinated by propaganda aren't going to believe that.
Mouth-breathers have bought into the propaganda which states that Joe Biden & Joe Manchin are leftists when, in reality, they are both moderate-Republican Capitalists.
Mouth-breathers think that actual leftists and right-winger Joe Biden want to do away with the private ownership of all guns, which they don't.
Mouth-breathers don't know that there is a Socialist Rifle Association, nor do they know about the militant-solidarity among the working-class people in modern-leftist societies or the working-class people in early 20th-century America.
Mouth-breathers don't comprehend the dynamics of the two-dimensional political spectrum which describes economic-issues in one dimension and social-issues in the other dimension.
Mouth-breathers don't comprehend the left-wing economic structures of socialism, communism, and collectivism versus the right-wing economic structures of capitalism, feudalism, and servitude -- nor do they have a grasp of the left-wing social structure of democracy versus the right-wing social structure of authoritarianism.
Mouth-breather's lack of understanding in regards to all of these things makes it impossible for them to recognize that behind the fall of every economically left-leaning economic system has been two-fold:
One, the sabotage inflicted by other economically right-wing capitalist countries, systems, and persons throughout the world, most notably the U.S.
And, two, the totalitarian nature of the socially right-wing authoritarian countries, systems, and persons throughout the world, along with the nature of the leaders of those left-leaning economic systems.
Long-story-short, behind the demise of every left-leaning economic system, throughout history, there has been a bunch of wealthy-class capitalists and/or authoritarians pulling the strings and pushing the buttons.
In regards to guns, those very same capitalist-authoritarians who want one of two things;
One, they want most, if not every working-class person to have guns in hopes that the working-class will only use the guns to fight among each other, thus allowing the wealthy-class capitalist-authoritarians to continue their pursuits of power and the satisfaction of their addictions.
Or, two, they don't want any working-class people to have guns, in case the working-class was to solidify and turn their collective working-class anger against the wealthy-class authoritarian-capitalists who are responsible for all of the terrible social and economic structures under which the working-class lives.
Mouth-breather's ignorance of social and economic politics in international and historical contexts makes it impossible for them to understand why actual leftists don't want to get rid of guns, let alone why the working-class wasn't allowed to bring guns to a Mikey P. speech.

@trusty_bear-v1h I was talked out of driving drunk in the past.
All it took was a one-on-one conversation, initiated by an incredibly kind and compassionate African-immigrant who came from much more inequitable place than I did. He was nearly a stranger to me, but quite possibly saved my life. I can't say I never drove drunk again, but I didn't drive drunk that night, and that conversation was a defining moment on my road to recovery.
Meanwhile, my American 'friends' had taken advantage of my stupidity for years. My friends condoned and encouraged my foolish behavior, getting rides from me regularly, while they would not reciprocate and drive drunk themselves. I've been sober for seven years now, and I don't hang out with those 'friends' any longer. So, my answer is yes.
Some people can be persuaded and changed solely by one-on-one discussions. Some folks might need visual aides or group-shaming, or even more drastic measures.
I am religious, but I still don't believe in caging humans. It is scientifically proven to NOT rehabilitate them. Again, caging humans is not rehabilitative. It is another trauma to be added to the list.
Perhaps, if we start folks on a good foot, with robust infrastructure and equitable opportunities, then perhaps we could have a more healthy society with equitable outcomes.
But, maybe I'm wrong.

@terencefield3204 You working-class, right-wing dupes, who stand up for wealthy-class right-wingers, are going to have to learn the hard way, just like the duped, working-class, right-wing Nazis, and the duped, working-class, right-wing Confederates.
While the working-class dupes like you hold the line, the wealthy-class right-wingers will be sneaking out the backdoor, leaving you dupes holding the bag.
Hopefully you haven't reproduced. And if you have, hopefully the crotch-fruit of your loose-loins have learned to be unlike you, lest they suffer the indignities brought on to them by the ignorance of their duped, working-class fathers.
You are the weakest link among the lowest common denominator of humans.
You are the worst of humanity.

@charlesandrews2360 Listen-up-Chuck, I don't mean to be brash, or crass, or alienating, or a fee-fee-hurting-bad-boy, but we don't have a lot of time.
You must be an absolute ignoramus...
...If you think the concept of working-class class-traitors, those who glorify the wealthy-class, are some 21st Century phenomenon, then you've got a lot of work to do. As do I. So, let's get on with it, shall we?
Have you never heard of the Roman Empire (the wealthy-class), or the Pharisees and Sadducees (the working-class class-traitors who chose the wealthy-class empire over the working-class Jesus)?
Have you never heard the story of class-traitor Uncle Tom, his working-class mates, and his wealthy-class masters?
How about the Hebrews and Egyptian pharaohs?
All are examples of class-struggle, class-sabotage, and/or class-solidarity.
Get off the internet and get your head into a book.
Or hundreds.
It's likely to take hundreds of books worth of education to get your head out of the rut of the hyperbole and propaganda of the wealthy-class minority, and into a sense of connection and solidarity with the working-class majority, especially in regards to international and historical contexts.
Neither the wealthy-class, right-wing, Pharisee-Republic party nor the wealthy-class, right-wing, Sadducee-Democrat party will be the saviors of the working-class. Both parties are parties of the wealthy-class minority who oppress the working-class majority.
If you're voting for Repubs of Dems, or Libertarians for that matter, you are voting for your own suffering or the suffering of someone else. And what you're definitely voting for is the further solidification of power for the wealthy-class.
Nothing I've said is my own making. People much smarter than I have already pointed these things out in perpetuity.
I'm not stupid, and I'm not special either.
But to act like the progression of ignorance>fear>anger>hate>violence>murder>genocide is something new, instead of the age-old tool used by the wealthy-class to provoke the working-class to fight against itself...
Well, that takes a special kind of stupid.
There are millions like you, I've got a lot of work to do, so this will likely be my only response.
So get up Chuck, you've got work to do. Search up some Richard D. Wolff or Michael Hudson videos.
Good day, sir.
P.S. Chris Hedges videos, too.

No, not wrong. Just lacking nuance. "Rigging" every system on earth is a uniquely wealthy-class tradition.
Since the invention of currency, the people with the wealth, and the people who strive to be like the people with the wealth, are the ones who do the rigging.
And I'm not sure if you meant "Gerrymandering" when you said "jerry-rigging," but those two things are not the same. However, Gerrymandering electoral maps and manipulating citizen-representation is also part of the wealthy-class tradition of "rigging" everything.
Wealth, power, greed, laziness, sabotage, and the underlying addictions to those things, are not uniquely American. They are unique to the wealthy-class, and to the working-class dupes who want to be like the wealthy-class.
Your sentiments are on the right track, though.

Most restaurants are priced toward attracting working-class people, many-to-most of whom can't afford to be eating out anyway.
The kinds of restaurants that are priced to attract working-class people also attract specific kinds of working-class customers -- the kind who wish to emulate the wealthy-class people who believe they are worthy of being served.
The kinds of restaurants that are priced to attract working-class customers are venues for working-class servers & cooks to be exploited by their fellow working-class mates.
Meanwhile, the profits from the restaurants go to the wealthy-class owners who then use those profits to eat at home or at better restaurants where working-class people can't afford to go.
I don't want to be like the wealthy-class, forcing working-class people to do everything for me: Planting and watering the seeds, cultivating the crop, weeding the garden, harvesting the bounty, cleaning the harvest, packaging it, storing it, shipping it, storing it again, cleaning it again, preparing it, cooking it, and serving it.
Next thing you know, wealthy-class people, and the working-class people who try to emulate them, will want working-class people to chew the food and spit it into their mouths for them. Then they'll want working-class people to follow them around until they sh!t it out. Then, they'll want their A$$ wiped.
No thanks.
Working for work's sake -- chasing currency that was invented by lazy, wealthy-class parasites -- isn't virtuous.
F*kc restaurants.

@chonzen1764 I suppose you'll never seek out the information necessary to comprehend these things, so I'll try to make it as simple as possible.
Ignorant, propagandized working-class Americans think that Thom is a leftist.
Ignorant, indoctrinated working-class Americans believe that The Democrat-party is a leftist party.
Intelligent, class-conscious, working-class people know that Thom, and both American political parties, are right-wing.
Intelligent, class-conscious, working-class people who understand politics in international and historical contexts, who understand propaganda and indoctrination, know that Thom, and both American political parties, are right-wing.
Both American political parties are right-wing authoritarianists.
Both right-wing parties are bought, owned, bribed, and controlled by the wealthy-class.
Thom is a member and supporter of one of those right-wing parties. Thus, Thom, like both American political parties, is a right-winger.
Right-wing politics are wealthy-class politics.
Wealthy-class politics are capitalist politics.
Capitalist politics are corporatist politics.
Corporatist politics are fascist politics.
Fascist politics are authoritarian politics.
Authoritarian politics are right-wing politics.
Thom is a wealthy-class, capitalist business owner. (He has owned and sold several companies out from under working-class employees).
In contrast:
Left-wing politics are working-class politics.
Working-class politics are cooperative politics.
Cooperative politics are community politics.
Community politics are small-business politics.
Small-business politics are decentralized politics.
Decentralized politics are left-wing politics.
Now moving on:
You show your ignorance again when you claim that it is illegal for the Congressional Commission to investigate the criminal activity on January 6, 2021.
The Constitution gives Congress Investigative and Oversight powers. Multiple United States Supreme Court decisions have affirmed and reaffirmed these Congressional powers.
Article 1, Section 2, Clause 8 gives Congress the power to; "constitute Tribunals inferior to the Supreme Court."
Thus, Article 1, Section 2, Clause 8 gives Congress the power to create these investigative bodies called tribunals.
Some such investigative-tribunals were; the committees which investigated the impeachments of right-wingers Clinton and Trump and the commissions which investigated Nine/Eleven and Benghazi.
If the January 6 Commission is illegal, so were the Nine/Eleven and Benghazi Commissions.
Article 3, Section 2, Clause 2, discusses;
"Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party."
The January-6 Commission is investigating public Ministers. Members of Congress -- Josh Hawley, Louie Gohmert, Lauren Boebert, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Paul Gosart, and others -- are public Ministers.
The Executive Branch under Trump -- Mark Meadows, Bill Barr, Ivanka, and others -- were public Ministers at the time of the January 6 crimes under investigation.
Furthermore, Article 3, Section 2, Clause 2, goes on to say;
"In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make."
The part that applies to our discussion is, "under such Regulations as the Congress shall make." This gives Congress the power to regulate Federal Courts.
Article 3, Section 2, Clause 2 DOESN'T give Congress the power to force a trial nor to convict and sentence criminals.
Article 3, Section 2, Clause 2 DOES give Congress the power to create rules regarding Federal courts -- along with Article 1, Section 2, Clause 8, which DOES allow Congress the power to investigate using prosecutorial committees and tactics.
The Supreme Court has upheld these Congressional powers of oversight and investigation. Most recently, the Supreme Court decided 8-to-1 in favor of Congressional oversite-powers.
The Trump folks sued to prevent the Congressional investigation.
The Trump folks wanted to keep documents secret under the guise of Executive Privilege.
The Supreme Court disagreed with the Trump folks.
The Supreme Court, occupied by right-wingers, disagrees with you.
The Supreme Court decided that the Congressional Oversite & Investigative powers to utilize the January 6 Commission to investigate crimes supersede the Executive Privilege of Trump's former Executive-Administration.
Three out of the four extremist Justices -- Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, Barrett -- say you're wrong.
One extremist Justice -- Thomas -- agrees with you. But only because he is trying to protect his wife, who perpetrated the crimes on January 6, 2021.
If Thomas were an ethically-principled human, he would have recused himself. But he isn't ethically-principled. He's a right-wing extremist authoritarian trying to protect right-wing extremist authoritarians.
I could go on. But, that's enough free education for one day.
Get out of whatever you're into, and into a book.
Or several.
Hundred.
It will take several hundred books-worth of reading to undo the indoctrination of wealthy-class propaganda which has shaped and conditioned your mind.

Yes. He (Biden) could have nominated someone else when he became POTUS. But he (Biden) nominated Powell again, and The Senate confirmed Powell again.
Why would Biden nominate a right-winger? Because Biden is also a right-winger.
Both of American's major political parties, and all of the minor parties, are bought, owned, bribed, and controlled by wealthy-class right-wingers.
Pelosi, McConnell, Schumer, McCarthy, Trump, Obama, Bush x2, Clinton x2, Reagan are/were all wealthy-class right-wingers. They are/were all millionaires who do/did the bidding of billionaires.
When working-class Americans finally understand that right-wing politics are wealthy-class politics, then maybe working-class Americans will stop voting for Repubocrats and Demlicans.
Of course, Americans will also have to realize that their campaign-finance and electoral systems have been rigged by wealthy-class right-wingers in favor of wealthy-class right-wingers. So that will have to be addressed, too.
Jerome Powell is certainly a stink. But he's only one wealthy-class turd in the wealthy-class septic tank.

Long story short: I don't want any of the addict-brains from the wealthy-class minority, nor vulnerable undeveloped-brains from the working-class running for any of the public-offices that dictate the policies which control our lives.

You already put your child at risk.
I mean, if the world is so bad -- with all the disasters and human beings using toilets -- why would you bring an innocent human life into that?
That's some messed up "pro-life" logic.
Now, let's just suppose that you're going to come-back and say something like, "But I"m pro-choice!!!"
Right. Sure you are.
People like you are only pro-choice as long as you're the ones who get to present the "acceptable" options.
You're pro-choice for some things, but not when it comes to human beings choosing which bathroom they're going to use.
Your kid didn't have a choice. It was born without consent, simply for your own personal lifestyle satisfaction.
Instead of reading stories being presented as "horror" regarding other human beings who p!ss and sh!t the same way you do, perhaps you should have read about antinatalism.
Be honest with yourself -- YOU put your own child at risk by raising it to be just like you:
Ignorant, fearful, angry, hateful, violent, murderous, and genocidal.
Addicted to materialism, consumerism, social-status, and easy-living.
Exceptionalist, colonialist, interventionist, imperialist.
Here is another word to describe people who think, talk, and act like you: minority.
A majority of people think better than you.
Most people know that human beings p!ssing and sh!tt!ng in toilets is not a real problem.
A small minority of people, distracting from real problems by fussing about human beings using toilets, is one of the real problems.
Your group is small, but you're not alone.
Knowledge is the key to breaking the cycle of ignorance>fear>anger>hate>violence>murder>genocide -- and the wealthy-class doesn't want you to learn anything, especially not acceptance for your fellow working-class humans.
Your ignorance, and all the subsequent steps, are purposely and purposefully planned.
The wealthy-class wants you to believe that "different" working-class humans (who p!ss and sh!t just like you) are responsible for your troubles in life.
So get back to work -- the wealthy-class has addictions and they need you to continue producing those addictions and maintaining the system which disproportionately distributes them.

Right, when the bills being voted on are full of unmentioned, unpublicized right-wing, capitalist-extremism, it doesn't matter what caucus you're apart of.
It only matters which caucus you were sucking on, in private, when the bill was being written.
99% of Republic-party legislators are corrupted by money in politics, along with, probably, around 90-95% of Democrat-party legislators.
Thom saying that only a few Democrats are holding up these Infrastructure Bills makes him a fool or a knave.
A fool, because maybe he doesn't know that a wide variety of Dem-legislators vote with Repub-legislators ALL THE EFFING TIME.
Or a knave, because Thom actually DOES know that a wide variety of Dem-legislators vote with Repub-legislators ALL THE EFFING TIME, but he pretends not to know.
I have a hard time believing Thom is just a fool.
Whether Thom is a fool or a knave, it's time for a new line of work.

Yes, wealthy-class Republicans and Democrats love the lower-class, ignorant-conservative David-Lafleches of the world.

The same right-wingers who own and control the Republic-party are the same right-wingers who own and control the Democrat-party. Those same right-wingers own and control the Forward-party.
The right-wing strategists and consultants who operate the Forward-party are the right-wing strategists and consultants who left the Republic&Democrat parties.
The Forward-party is offering the same right-wing, pro-wealthy-class capitalist platitudes as the Republic&Democrat parties.
These Forward-party promoters, pundits, and would-be politicians are already being publicly called out for the fecklessness of their right-wing policy-positions, and they are already scurrying for the hills. Just like right-wing Repubs & right-wing Dems.
The Forward-party isn't a left-wing, pro-working-class, progressive party. They are a right-wing, pro-wealthy-class party, conservative party. They are trying to conserve the systems of right-wing neoliberal capitalism whereby the wealthy-class controls the functions of economic life via the co-opting and corrupting of the government.
I know this may be difficult to comprehend, but wealthy-class right-wingers have designed the system this way on purpose.
But, this situation is like when you're watching/reading something in the genre of mystery-suspense, and you realize who the killer is before the writers/authors reveal it: Once you see it, you can't "unsee" it.

Thom still believes that the values of the "Democratic" Party in the past are the same priorities espoused by the current leadership of the "Democrat" Party in the present.
It's either that, or Thom is in on the act, and he's playing dumb.
He fully understands the SCOTUS decisions from over the past 70 years, which have allowed the wealthy-class capitalists to corrupt the campaign finance and election systems while consequently co-opting the politicians to do the bidding of that wealthy-class.
Thom has talked about those SCOTUS decisions repeatedly throughout the years. Although, he only mentions a specific set of decisions while ignoring others.
Thom calls out the systemic corruption of the Republic-party but only calls out singular Democrats. He never cites that the systemic corruption, allowed by the SCOTUS decisions, has taken over the Democrat-party too.
So, it's one of a few possible things.
One: Thom sincerely, ignorantly believes that the current wealthy-class capitalist-leadership of the Democrat-party is the same leadership, with the same ideals of the working-class Democratic party from when Thom was growing up (in the 60s and 70s). And, thus, Thom says the ignorant-sounding things he says at times.
Two: Thom knows that the wealthy-class capitalists who fund the Republic-party are the same ones who fund the Democrat-party. He knows that the Democrat-party is nothing more than a paid-opposition whose main goal is to seem as though they are fighting against the Republic-party. And, thus, Thom pretends not to know.
Three: The first two sentences from number two above, but instead of pretending not to know that both parties are corrupt and working in tandem, what we are seeing is Thom treading lightly. Rather than blatantly calling out the mutual corruption of both parties, he merely presents the corruption of the Democrat-party in pieces.
Maybe he does this to maintain access to Democrat-party executives and politicians. Maybe he does it to coddle potential or current viewers. Maybe he does it to placate capitalist Youtube executives.
Personally, I think it's the two-three combo. There's no way he can be smart enough to paint the who, what, when, where, why, and how of duopolistic corruption, while being too stupid to see the monopolistic masterpiece of suffering and discontent it has created
Whether Thom's antics are the product of one, two, or three, my retort is as follows:
"BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! BOOOOOO!!! GET OFF THE STAGE!!!"

Good day.

The old "Paradox of Tolerance" is sneaking up on the primate-brains of these working-class right-wing dupes who vote for the pro-wealthy-class/anti-working-class politics of wealthy-class right-wingers. It can be amusing to observe primates.
For example, watching primates struggle with a puzzle or trying to learn new things, in hopes of earning a banana-award, can be entertaining. But, sometimes, the primates get violent.
The wealthy-class right-wingers have everything they need and more. They don't care if they never "eat out" again. They can afford to hire working-class right-wing dupes to cook for them at home.
But the duped working-class right-wingers don't have everything they need. And they want to "eat out," so other working-class people have to serve them because it makes their primate-brains feel like they are members of the wealthy-class.
The wealthy-class right-wingers don't care if they aren't tolerated by the non-duped members of the working-class, because they can use their wealth to alleviate the societally-imposed consequences of their actions.
But the duped working-class right-wingers with primate-brains don't have the wealth to alleviate the societally-imposed consequences of their actions. And those working-class right-wing dupes, who idolize the wealthy-class, will learn one way or the other.
The working-class dupes, who vote for the pro-wealthy-class/anti-working-class politics of wealthy-class right-wingers, are going to find out what it's like when the better humans of the working-class no longer tolerate the dupes who believe that having wealth, or just acting wealthy, somehow makes them superior.
The primate-brains of the working-class right-wing dupes are going to learn, or they won't be getting any bananas.

Yup. They're all right-wingers (besides Bernie), and America is already a sh!tehole because of right-wing politics.
Right-wing politics are pro-wealthy-class and anti-working-class politics.
America is a sh!tehole because of pro-wealthy-class/anti-working-class right-wingers like Pritzker, Shapiro, Newsome, Klobuchar, Harris, Booteigeig, Biden, McConnell, McCarthy, Trump, Bush Jr., Bush Sr., Clintons, Reagan, Pelosi and Thom Hartmann.
F*kc 'em all.

Thom is a Capitalist member of the right-wing wealthy-class, just like Trump, McConnell, Biden, and Pelosi.
Thom has owned and sold multiple businesses out from under working-class employees.
Thom promotes the right-wing Democrat party that is bought, owned, bribed, and controlled by the same corrupt, wealthy-class, right-wing Capitalists as the right-wing Republic-party.
Thom is who he's always been -- a right-wing Capitalist. He masquerades as a "left-winger," just like the Democrat-party.

@adlucem9845 Chelsea Manning, Danny Sjursen, Reality Winner, Mike Prysner: those are just a few of the countless working-class people who were duped into "signing up" by the right-wing, wealthy-class fascists who control the MIC, Mainstream Media, and the US Government.
Manning, Sjursen, Winner, and Prysner were once sleeping dupes being used as pawns. But now they are awake and they speak in opposition to the right-wing, wealthy-class fascists who control the MIC, Mainstream Media, and the US Government
The original poster, Pondart Inc., is now doing the same thing: voicing their opposition to the right-wing, wealthy-class fascists who control the MIC, Mainstream Media, and the US Government.

The ACA is based on the Massachusetts healthcare plan that was signed into law by Republican Governor Mitt Romney. Romney&Massachusetts got the plan from the right-wing extremist Hermitage Foundation. The Heritage Foundation is funded by wealthy-class, right-wing extremist billionaires.
Right-wing politics are pro-wealthy-class & anti-working-class politics.
Pelosi, McConnell, Schumer, McCarthy, Biden, Trump, Obama, Bush x2, Clinton x2, and Reagan are/were all wealthy-class, right-wing millionaires who do/did the political bidding of wealthy-class, right-wing billionaires.
America was founded by wealthy-class right-wingers, and it is still controlled by wealthy-class right-wingers to this day.
Your problems don't rest solely with Biden. Your problems are the result of centuries of wealthy-class corruption and their right-wing politics.

"A fellow was stuck on his rooftop in a flood. He was praying to God for help.
Soon a man in a rowboat came by and the fellow shouted to the man on the roof, "Jump in, I can save you."
The stranded fellow shouted back, "No, it's OK, I'm praying to God and he is going to save me."
So the rowboat went on.
Then a motorboat came by. "The fellow in the motorboat shouted, "Jump in, I can save you."
To this the stranded man said, "No thanks, I'm praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith."
So the motorboat went on.
Then a helicopter came by and the pilot shouted down, "Grab this rope and I will lift you to safety."
To this the stranded man again replied, "No thanks, I'm praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith."
So the helicopter reluctantly flew away.
Soon the water rose above the rooftop and the man drowned. He went to Heaven. He finally got his chance to discuss this whole situation with God, at which point he exclaimed, "What am I doing here? I had faith in you but you didn't save me, you let me drown. I don't understand why!"
To this God replied, "What ARE you doing here? I sent you a rowboat and a motorboat and a helicopter, what more did you expect?""
=========================
From The Bible:
From the book of Matthew, chapter 4, verses 5 - 7:
5 Then the devil took Jesus to the holy city and set Him on the pinnacle of the temple.
6“If You are the Son of God,” the devil said, “throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He will command His angels concerning You, and they will lift You up in their hands, so that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’”
7 JESUS REPLIED, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’
From the book of Luke, chapter 4, verses 9 - 12:
9 Then the devil led Jesus to Jerusalem and set Him on the pinnacle of the temple. “If You are the Son of God,” the devil said, “throw Yourself down from here.
10 For it is written: ‘He will command His angels concerning You to guard You carefully;
11 and they will lift You up in their hands, so that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’”
12 But JESUS ANSWERED, “It also says, ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’
=========================
It seems that the devil has put you in a high place, like the top of your roof during a flood, or the pinnacle of the temple during a time of distress, or in the height of your own mind during a pandemic, and the devil is tempting you to drown, jump, or contract the sickness.
God has already sent you a row boat, masks, and prayer.
God has already sent you a sail boat, social distancing, and faith.
God has already sent you a helicopter, a vaccine, and the ability to act.
We wouldn't have the knowledge regarding masks, social distancing, and vaccines if God didn't want us to have that knowledge.
Stop testing, tempting, and challenging God to keep you safe even more than He already has.
Stop testing, tempting, and challenging God to do even more for you than He's already done.

I've said similar things myself. I honestly can't tell if Thom is a fool or a knave.
Is Thom A or B? Is he...
A) a fool who really believes that the Democrat-party of today is the same Democrat-party of pre-1990?
Or
B) a knave who knows that the wealthy-class that owns the Republic-party is the same wealthy-class that owns the Democrat-party, but he pretends not to know?
Is Thom...
A) old and stupid, trapped in his own little bubble, unable to comprehend the complexity of the corruption?
Or
B) aware of the corruption of both parties, but pretends not to be aware of the corruption because he benefits from it?
I lean towards B.
Because, if a person can explain the web of corruption and bribery that has been legalized by the right-wing SCOTUS like Thom is able to explain it, then that person has to also understand the strength of the grasp that the corruption of the wealthy-class has on both political parties.
If a person can explain the corruption the way Thom can, but somehow can't comprehend that the corruption has infiltrated both political parties, then that person is either A) dumb as dirt, or B) a lying piece of human excrement.
And like I said, I lean towards B.

The working-class male supremacists here in the comments seem to be as scared of gender/sex equity as working-class white supremacists are of racial equity.
These working-class white-male supremacists seem to be just as scared of gender/sex/racial equity as the wealthy-class supremacists are of economic equity.
Of course, these working-class supremacist dupes are only scared because of the indoctrination imposed on them by the supremacist propaganda produced by other working-class dupes at the behest of wealthy-class supremacists.
Imagine being so submerged in your own white-male privilege that you didn't realize white-male supremacy was the reason for your elevated position in the world, and, at the same time, being such a dainty, fragile snowflake that you thought you were the world's most victimized victim.
As a white male who has benefited from the privilege afforded by the alienation of white-make supremacy, I can vouch for the toxicity in its tentacles.
Having been saved from that toxicity, as someone who is anti-white-male supremacy, I sure wish The Great Replacement was a reality instead of a conspiracy theory.
There are vile, violent, useless skin-bags walking this earth.
In my experience, the knave, white-male, wealthy-class supremacists are the worst, followed by the duped, white-male, working-class supremacists.

Hedges knows that the Democrat Party is funded by the wealthy-class, just like the Republic Party is funded by the wealthy-class.
Thom is an apologist for the Democrat Party, and he has spent his life putting energy into the Democrat Party.
Hedges left the Democrat party and became an outspoken opponent of the party when he realized that Democrats were becoming just as corrupted as the Republic Party.
Thom can't seem to get away from the grasp of the wealthy-class financiers who have corrupted our political systems and both political parties, because Thom still believes that the different names of the parties matter more than the similarities of the policies which those parties support.
Even though Hedges and Thom both consider themselves to be politically left-leaning, Hedges is much farther left. Hedges understands that the Democrat Party is a politically center-right leaning political party (with the Republic Party being a far-right political party).
Hedges and Thom have some similarities but, for two self-proclaimed leftists, Hedges is much farther left-leaning than Thom. Thom is an apologist for the corrupt Democrat Party, while Hedges is an opponent of the corrupt Democrat Party.
Very few people in the world want to hear about their shortcomings, face those shortcomings, and then make strides to change them. Thom doesn't want to hear how, by propping up the Democrat Party, he is helping to prop up the corrupt political system which breeds inequity, inequality, suppression, oppression, and repression.
I think the differences between Hedges and Thom are why Thom doesn't have Hedges is on the show more often, or maybe it's because Hedges doesn't want to be on the show.
On a side note, I am somewhat surprised that Thom has Richard Wolff on the show so often. Maybe it's because Wolff is much less direct in his criticism of one party over the other, while Hedges is very direct in his criticism.
I'm not as concerned with why someone is or isn't on this show or that show as I am concerned about the quality of the knowledge provided.
I am very thankful for the knowledgeable voices of Hedges and Wolff, and I am thankful to Thom for helping me to understand the Supreme Court cases of Buckley v. Valeo of 1976, First National Bank of Boston v. Belotti of 1978, Citizens United v. FEC of 2010.
But it bothers me to see and hear Thom prop up the Democrat Party because he should know and understand that the decisions in those Supreme Court cases helped pave the way for the Democrat Party to become corrupt like the Republic Party.

This is Julio.
Last I knew, Julio loved America so much, he decided to leave America under the excuse of 'employment-opportunities' (or so he claimed on-air some months ago).
In reality, Julio probably left America to expand on his Capitalist GRIFTing-opportunities in other countries, while also taking advantage of the Socialist GIFTing-opportunities which those countries provide to their citizens.
In China -- where their elite-class has been financially propped up by the Western elite-class for whom Julio grafts -- Julio's kids would be taken away from him and they would all be put into concentration camps...
/S
I mean, "re-education centers..."
I mean, "holding cells..."
You know, for "safe-keeping" like we're doing to people here in the states. Julio's fine with doing it to strangers here in the states, I'm sure he'd be fine with it him and his family in China...
/S
Sarcasm aside...
Luckily for Julio, he could afford to move his family away from American-authoritarianism to the more Democratic society of Europe.
Luckily for Julio, he comes from a place that Europe doesn't openly discriminate against (yet).
Luckily for Julio, his grafting has furnished him with the ability to take advantage of the best of both socio-politico-economic systems -- the system here in the U.S. which benefits rich-knaves and their poor-fools, and the European system which is more egalitarian -- just as any regular hypocrite would.
Julio is a fool-shill at best, and a knave-propagandist at worst.
Don't be like Julio.

Pritzker: Wealthy-class right-wing Republican in wealthy-class right-wing Democrat clothing.
Shapiro: Pritzker wannabe.
Whitmer: Who?
Bernie: Wealthy-class right-wing Dems&Repubs will work together (again) to keep him out.
Newsome: Striving to be even more wealthy, like a Pritzker.
Klobuchar: Another Pritzker wannabe.
Pollis: Who?
Harris: The cop who broke up families & damaged communities? No thanks. Also, a Pritzker wannabe.
Booteigeig: The wannabe cop who damaged communities & volunteered to murder working-class strangers abroad? No thanks. Also, a Pritzker wannabe.
America is a sh!tehole because of right-wing politics.
Right-wing politics are pro-wealthy-class and anti-working-class politics.
America is a sh!tehole because of pro-wealthy-class/anti-working-class right-wingers like Pritzker, Shapiro, Newsome, Klobuchar, Harris, Booteigeig, Biden, McConnell, McCarthy, Trump, Bush Jr., Bush Sr., Clintons, Reagan, and Thom Hartmann.

For further reading on this topic, seek out books by Diane Ravitch and Jonathan Kozol. I'm sure there are other valid authors on this topic, but those two are well-researched.

Right-wingers (the wealthy-class knaves and their working-class fools) would ask: "Did you alien-guys come in the right-legal way? Where are your papers? Do you have a job?"
The right-wing, working-class fools would say: "You alien-guys can't come in here if you don't have a job, and you can't get a job if you don't have papers, and you can't get papers if you didn't come in the right-legal way, but you can't even come in if you don't have a job."
The right-wing, wealthy-class knaves would say:"We think it's time for you alien-guys to leave, or step into these steel-chains and concrete-cages, or climb into these one-way wooden-boxes we plan to bury. We were going to use them for our own working-class fools, but we'll just get those morons to build more. Hey, do you guys have any resources we can pillage, or any young, old, or disabled we can exploit? What do you all have between your legs?"

Heidi Hietkcamp is a Republican dressed in Democrat clothing, just like Pelosi, Hoyer, Clyburn, Jeffries, Schumer, Durbin, Murray, and Klobuchar. They're all wealthy-class right-wingers, just like the McConnell, McCarthy, Scalise, Stefanik, Cruz, Rubio, Scott, and Trump. Americans are duped by TWO right-wing political parties.

It IS what they are paid to do. Wealthy-class billionaires fund the campaigns of wealthy-class millionaires like Pelosi, McConnell, McCarthy, Schumer, and many others, to be the leadership of BOTH American political parties.
In exchange for the campaign funds, the millionaires do what the billionaires tell them to do. In exchange for doing what the millionaires are told, the billionaires give jobs to the family members of the millionaires in congress. Then, when the millionaires in congress leave congress, they are given jobs by the billionaires.
It's a vicious cycle, and those aren't even all the moving parts. I only explained a few piece of it.

When the bills being voted on are full of unmentioned, unpublicized, right-wing, wealthy-class extremism, it doesn't matter what caucus you're apart of.
Or
A knave, because Thom actually DOES know that a wide variety of Dem-legislators vote with Repub-legislators ALL THE EFFING TIME, but he pretends not to know because he benefits from their corruption.
I have a hard time believing Thom is just a fool.
Whether Thom is a fool or a knave, it's time for a new line of work.
A majority of Americans might CLAIM be "done with corruption" but actions speak louder than words. So don't forget about the MILLIONS who acted by voting for corruption over the last 50 years.
If you voted for any candidate from either of the two monopoly-parties, as they masqueraded as a duopoly, you voted for corruption, because you're either a fool who didn't know any better or a knave who benefited.

@fredo3161 Anyone who's spent time in a reputable classroom beyond high school knows that Wikipedia isn't an acceptable source of information due to its RIGHT-WING BIAS.
Anyone without a right-wing, wealthy-class propagandized brain, who's spent time outside the U.S. -- or in the presence of actual working-class conscious leftists -- knows that every MSM source in the U.S. is a right-wing source.
The leadership of both major parties is all right-wingers. They're all from the wealthy-class.
Wealthy-class politics are right-wing politics.
Corporate-politics are right-wing politics.
Fascist-politics are right-wing politics.
Capitalism is right-wing politics.
Bankers, financiers, the KKK, and Nazis cling to right-wing politics.
Right-wing politics are the catalyst for the mob-rule of the wealthy-class minority, and they utilize working-class fools as the mob. Every class-conscious person understands this.
This is why the working-class in other, better countries laugh at the U.S.
You have gone-done let yourselves become ruled by two right-wing wealthy-class parties.
You've been convinced to sell out your families, friends, and neighbors for a few extra crumbs. Worse than that, many of you are willing to do much worse than sell them out.
It won't be long until the better parts of the world do the same thing to the right-wing U.S. that was done to right-wing Germany in WW2.
I'll be surprised if this posts, because the YT cents'r'ship alg-rhythms are designed and regulated by corporate right-wingers. Just like Facebook, Twitter, etc. Oh yeah, technocrat-politics are right-class politics, too.
If this does post, you owe me for the best education you've ever gotten.

Richard, Thom did a segment on Medicare Advantage recently (he talks about it a lot).
I believe that by signing up for Medicare Advantage plans (offered by private, for-profit corporations with no accountability) which you must pay extra for, then you waive your rights to unconditional future enrollment in Medicare (which is public, non-profit, and transparent) which you have already paid for your entire life.
Again, I think that by signing up for Medicare Advantage with a private company, and then trying to switch to Medicare with the government, this allows the government to refuse you based on the quality of your health, just like private insurers are allowed to refuse to pay for your care.
I could be wrong. I hope I am.
Now, you might be wondering, "Why would the government be allowed to refuse my enrollment in Medicare?" Answer: Because people like Charles Sauer -- corrupt, devious people who have many addictions to pay for -- are allowed to write the laws.
I know everyone's situation is different, but wtf were you thinking?
If you're healthy, what are you getting from Medicare Advantage besides, maybe, dental and vision, and how much are you paying the Medicare Advantage company? I'm guessing thousands of dollars per year.
One out-of-pocket eye-doctor appointment per year: couple hundred bucks, at most?
You can buy eyeglasses online for a tenth to a quarter of the price you get them in a retail store (see Zenni Optical online).
One out-of-pocket dental appointment per year: couple hundred bucks, at most?
Your primary doctor, local hospital and emergency room can handle any major issues.
They won't let your teeth just fall out of your head, although they will help you get them removed if need be.
If you're healthy, you're paying the Medicare Advantage company for nothing, and if you're not healthy, they can refuse to pay for any care anyway.

Riiight, Thom, "Democrats aren't fascists (as you said in another video), some are just sellouts."
You're either a moronic-fool or a sellout-knave, Thom, and neither is anything to be proud of.
The Democrat-party apparatus is bought, owned, bribed, and controlled by the same wealthy-class fascists who own the Republic-party apparatus. Jack Reed knows this, Thom, and Jack plays his role as a capitulator to the Republic-party, just like he's bought and bribed to do.
At best, you're an moronic-fool apologist for the Democrat-party apparatus.
At worst, you're a sellout-knave capitulator, no better than Jack Reed who doesn't give a shite about raped women.
Frankly, I think you're a knave -- the same as Robert Reich labeled Steven Mnuchin some years back. You pretend to be clueless about the corruption of the Democrat-party leadership and owners.
You're about as worthless as Bill Maher, Michael Moore, and Jimmy Dore.

Good day.

Yup, and when the small minority of wealthy-class parasites lose control in one area, they fabricate the demise of that area and sneak out the backdoor leaving the working-class holding the bag. It's a tale as old as time.
The small minority of wealthy-class parasites have been sabotaging state and local governments and communities throughout the US since they created the country. And while they've been sabotaging state and local governments and communities, they have been simultaneously planning to do the same thing to the federal government.
That small minority of wealthy-class parasites has been slowly leaving the country for decades, little by little, dollar by dollar, resource by resource. But their pace has increased over the past decade.
The most conniving of the parasites realized that the ruse was up a long time ago. That is why they pushed through NAFTA, to help them facilitate their departure from the country (NAFTA was developed by right-wing Republicans and passed by right-wing Dems, just like Obamacare).
The American working-class is on its way to reaping the worldly repercussions of allowing themselves to be controlled by wealthy-class right-wing parasites, the same way that working-class Germans allowed themselves to be controlled by wealthy-class right-wing parasitic Nazis.
The better countries of the world are sick and tired of America's bullsh!te, just like they were sick of the Nazis.
The American working-class will be lucky if they don't reap the same demise as the working-class Germans did during and after World War Two.

@jasonfrodoman1316 I can honestly say that I'm mostly unfamiliar with the main characters from other religions.
So, when you say, "the main spiritual character[s] [are] always born from a virgin," that is honestly new information to me.
If that is true, I find your question valid and intriguing. If true, then it's a question I have in common with you. So, I guess I'll add it to the list of things to explore.
I just started researching the Quran. I'm trying to decide which version/translation to read. Knowing what I know about the different versions of the Christian Bible, I'm finding it to be a difficult task to pick a version of the Quran.
I could write some thoughts about why this might be. "Why are the main characters in these holly books born to virgins?" But my answers would only be guesses, and I try not to do that.
If I know or believe something to be true, I try to articulate it. But, if I don't know something, I try to admit it. If I'm not interested in something, I try to admit it. But this does interest me.
So, even though I don't know for sure, here's my short answer.
Presuming that God is God (I believe this), and presuming there is only one God (I believe this); and further presuming that the one God is actually the God of all religions, instead of God only being the God of one true religion (as most religions seem to claim); then the consistency of there being only one God would explain the consistency of the main-characters of different religions being born of virgins across religions.
I hope that makes sense.

@shannonedwards818 The wealthy-class owners of YT are allowing spambots to overrun YT comments.
The wealthy-class created YT, in the same manner and purpose as they have created countless products of non-necessity: to attract, addict, and pacify the working-class.
To simplify the intentionally-nefarious actions of the wealthy-class by blaming their nefariousness on "spambots" alone is exactly the slight-of-hand that the wealthy-class has been engaging in since the invention of currency.
SOMEONE(S) created spambots for the purposes of money.
SOMEONE(S) funded spambot-creation for the purposes of money.
SOMEONE(S) allow(s) spambots on YT for the purposes of money.
Money was invented in the past by lazy parasites.
Monetary systems are maintained in the present by lazy parasites.
The lazy parasites created the wealthy-class versus working-class dichotomy.
The money creators and system maintainers are addicted to their laziness. And unfortunately, many working-class people have been duped into supporting the monetary systems, and the subsequent societal lottery-system (also created by the wealthy-class) by which a few working-class people are economically-elevated over other working-class people.
And just like any other drug-addict, these lazy, parasitic right-wingers -- wealthy-class knaves and the co-opted working-class dupes, alike -- will never give up their addictions willingly. They will betray their families, give up their friends, and sabotage the communities of working-class strangers just to maintain their addictions.
In the past, the wealthy-class right-wingers did their best to prevent chattel-slaves from learning.
In the present, the wealthy-class right-wingers do their best to prevent wage-slaves from learning.
And to say that "spambots are overrunning YT comments" is an explanation that is as simplified as the wealthy-class right-wingers have planned for the working-class to be able to comprehend.
Now, just to bring everything full-circle, I'll refer back to the original comment by 50-50 Grind with the following:
Since the wealthy-class right-wingers have succeeded in turning YT into another tool of working-class addiction and pacification, the wealthy-class is changing the tool. They are deliberately hiding, deleting, and censoring the comments of working-class people.
Censorship has always been a tool of wealthy-class right-wingers to intentionally suppress working-class people and prevent them from communicating with each other, thus, turning the working class against each other. Because as long as working-class people are fighting with each other, they won't be able to address the lazy, parasitic, wealthy-class, right-wing addicts who are the causes of the world's ills.
So, at best, saying that "Spambots are overrunning YT comments" is naive and foolish. It lets the wealthy-class off the hook for nefariously funding the creation of spambots and intentionally allowing spambots to persist.
At worst, saying that "spambots are overrunning YT comments" is knavish. It's something the wealthy-class parasites pay working-class dupes to say while trolling the comments section.
At mediocrity, saying that "spambots are overrunning YT comments" is hyperbolic, and hyperbole is another propagandist tool of the wealthy-class. For example, the hyperbolic phrase "less is more."
Well, when it comes to the act of writing/explaining the existential crises working-class people face at the hands of the wealthy-class oppressors, writing less isn't more.
And whether a person is a fool or knave -- neither of those things are anything to be proud of, although the former condition is generally easier to treat -- they aren't someone to be emulated or followed.
The same goes for mediocrity and the mediocre.
Have a good day! :)

The books "Lies My Teacher Told Me" by James W. Loewen and "A People's History of the United States" by Howard Zinn go about explaining and undoing some of the indoctrination.
The current education system is just an example of the inequality that has existed throughout history and intertwines through all aspects of life.
Lower-class kids go to defunded and depressed public schools. Those kids are cultivated to be subservient citizens who become good soldiers and obedient workers. If they're unlucky, they become subjugated prisoners.
Wealthy-class kids go to over-funded and deregulated private schools. Those kids are coddled to be oppressive citizens who become wealth-hoarders, resource-pillagers, labor-manipulators, and human-exploiters. If they're "lucky," they become unmitigated and unrepentant demanding-sociopaths.
I understand that my explanation is a broadly brushed, verbal painting that isn't representative of the entire educational canvas, nor every educational institution. But it's representative of most of them.
No matter what the lower-class people do to strive for equity and equality, the wealthy-class people will do everything in their power to combat it. The wealthy-class will do anything to maintain their addictions to a fabricated social-status, an easy standard of living, and substance abuse.
The wealthy-class will partake in lying, cheating, stealing, and murdering to maintain their addictions. They will propagandize populations by fearmongering and hatemongering, they will overthrow governments, sabotage infrastructure, destroy communities, murder individuals, genocide ethnicities, and enslave the survivors.
The lies and indoctrination happening in the public and private school dichotomy is just a less violent tactic in the class segregation that aids the wealthy in upholding their lifestyle.

Imagine being as ignorant as you...
Nazi's were socialists as much as the leadership of the Republic and Democrat parties are public servants. They're all Capitalists and servants of the wealthy-class.
Present-day Democrat-leadership is, basically, Republicans, and present-day Republic-leadership is, basically, Nazi-fascists. All are promoters of Capitalism and the inequity and inequality that comes with it.
The leadership of the Nazi party and the leadership of the Republic and Democrat parties had many things in common. Here are a few other things.
They all serve the socio-psychopathic money-hoarders, resource-pillagers, labor-exploiters, and human-manipulators within the wealthy-class minority who control the corporations and big businesses.
They all utilize austerity politics to repress, suppress, and oppress the working-class majority while propping up the wealthy-class minority.
The wealthy-class uses their wealth to co-opt and corrupt the elected officials who in turn corrupt the government.
The corrupt wealthy-class and elected officials push for policies that deplete education quality and standards for the working-class.
Effectively, the wealthy-class tries to dumb-down the working-class, just the way the wealthy-class, white Capitalists did to African slaves in this country.
Then, the wealthy-class uses their wealth to create and distribute propaganda to the dumb-downed, desperate working-class people.
They use the propaganda to manipulate the dumbest and most desperate citizens within the working-class into blaming each other, instead of the working-class blaming the wealthy-class who are responsible for imposing the desperation.
I could go on.
In one ignorant sentence, you made it clear that the corrupt wealthy-class, and the elected officials who serve at their behest, have succeeded in hitting their mark.
I know many people like you. Admittedly, I was on a similar path until I quit drinking and watching the propaganda-box (television). Then I remembered that I knew how to read and started learning as an adult.
The only concern I have is, which of your fellow working-class citizens or family members are you going to harm or murder first.

Thom still believes that the values of the old "Democratic" party are prioritized by the leadership of the party.
It's either that or Thom is in on the act and he's playing dumb.
He fully understands the SCOTUS decisions, from over the past 70 years, which have allowed the wealthy-class capitalists to corrupt the campaign finance and election systems while consequently co-opting the politicians to do the bidding of that wealthy-class.
He's talked about those SCOTUS decisions repeatedly throughout the years (even though he only mentions a specific set of decisions while ignoring others). Yet, somehow, he only calls out the corruption of the Republic-party.
So, it's one of a few possible things.
One: Thom sincerely believes that the current capitalist-leadership of the Democrat-party is the same leadership, with the same ideals, from when Thom was growing up (in the 60s and 70s).

Because, right-wing politics are wealthy-class politics, and both of America's political parties are right-wing, wealthy-class political parties that are bought, owned, bribed, and controlled by wealthy-class right-wingers.
Pelosi, McConnell, Schumer, McCarthy, Trump, Biden, Obama, Clinton x2, Bush x2, and Reagan are(were) all wealthy-class right-wingers who promote(d) wealthy-class right-wing politics.
If working-class Americans are ever able realize that their suffering is caused by the wealthy-class and right-wing politics, then America might get a chance to try out left-wing working-class politics.
I share your frustrations.

Thom's a wealthy-class right-winger. What do you expect? (That's a rhetorical question, there.)
Tribalism is just one of the "isms" that the right-wing wealthy-class minority uses to keep the working-class majority divided.
Racism, sexism, antagonism, extremism, and many others, are the tools of wealthy-class supremacy.
The most important "ism" that eludes the working-class majority is classism.
The right-wing wealthy-class minority will do anything to hide classism from the working-class majority.
The wealthy-class is responsible for perpetrating and perpetuating the inequitable systems under which working-class people suffer.
The wealthy-class will do anything to maintain the systems of inequity and power with which they rule, reign, and lord over the working-class.
Thom is just another wealthy-class ruler, reigning and lording over his working- class employees and listeners.
If the working-class majority would realize that, "there ain't no war but the class war," then the working-class could come together to force the wealthy-class minority into submission.
I, along with many others, am sick and tired of living under the mob-rule of the wealthy-class minority.
But I and the others are still few.
The majority of the working-class has not yet woken.

@kathysmith6413 -- Preach, Kathy!
Furthermore: 1 Peter 4:7-8 says;
7 "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God."
8 "He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love."
Then in 1 Peter 4:18 says:
18 "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love."
I interpret that to mean this: If any person or administration would try to use fear, torment, war, or murder in their efforts against anyone whom they disagree with, then that person or administration is wrong.
Jesus said, multiple times, that we are to love one another...
Matthew 5:44, Matthew 19:19, Matthew 22:39, and in other scriptures in the books of Mark, Luke, and John.
Also, before Jesus is born, in Leviticus 19:17-18, God says;
17 "Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him."
18 "Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD."
I interpret all of that to mean this: It is better to die at the hands of your enemy than to bring judgment, fear, and death to your enemies. Show love and peace to your enemies and let God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit do their work through that love.
Tax me at 100% if it will help others see God's love for them. I don't need money or possessions. God will provide all that I need in order to fulfill His will for my life and for the lives of others.
Philippians 4:19 says:
19 "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
I'm going to continue onward without fear, following the teachings of Christ. In Luke 12:7-8, Jesus says;
7 "...Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows."
8 "Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:"
Jesus says to not be afraid, but to love people, and if you love people then you won't bring fear to them, because there is no fear in love.
Don't be fooled by false prophets like @we thepeople

@kathysmith6413 --
I think you may have misunderstood my first post. I was agreeing with you. It seems as though you didn't understand. Your response has me wondering if English is your first language. But again, I agree with you.
The elite and wealthy people who control the U.S. government are radical fundamentalists. The elite and wealthy people misuse the Bible. They misuse God and Christ for their own gains.
I don't believe that the love that is shown to those in need in my country is profound. We have hundreds and thousands and millions of people suffering here in the USA. In one way or another, many people suffer here.
We do find ways to help some people in need, but many people are in need and they go unnoticed. We can do much better, but the elite people in charge choose not to help.
We may have ended slavery here in one sense, but since the American Civil War, many more people have become enslaved. Slavery is no longer based on race. Slavery is now based on economic class. If you're born poor in the USA, you are most likely going to die poor. There are millions of people living in the USA who are nothing more than slaves to the elite and the wealthy.
I don't believe in building walls as a way to keep people divided. There is no love in keeping humans separated. I don't believe in building physical walls made of stone, and I don't believe in making metaphorical walls made of money and possessions.
I don't encourage anyone who acts like Hitler. I believe my government makes rules that help the rich and the elite at the expense of the poor and the meek, just like Hitler did. Again, I do not agree with this.
I do not agree with the actions of my government. My government commits murder and genocide. My government degrades the standard of living for many people, in an effort to elevate the standard of living for a few people.
But I believe the Founding Documents are good documents that can be used to create an atmosphere of equality. Unfortunately, the government has been infiltrated and corrupted by evil in the form of greed for wealth and power.
I hope this is more clear for you to understand.

@kathysmith6413 -- No worries. Communication is the key to understanding.
I believe your understanding of immigration law is correct.
I believe the current Administration is breaking the law.
There have been many court cases brought against Trump and his Administration regarding immigration law and how the Executive Branch is not adhering to the law.
Many of those court cases have been lost by Trump. But he and his people continue to break the law anyway, because there is no mechanism for the courts to stop them.
Not to mention how much Trump and his people lie on camera. The mainstream media reports on the lies, but there doesn't seem to be any remedy to stop Trump and his people from telling lies.
There is no accountability and no punishment for the wealthy and the elite in this country. Very rarely are the wealthy and the elite held accountable and punished for their wrong and unlawful actions.
If the wealthy are ever held accountable, they get fractional punishments compared to poor people. We call this the "Two-tier Justice System" -- one justice system for the wealthy and a separate justice system for the poor -- one set of punishments for the wealthy and a separate set of punishments for the poor.
In my experience, the right-wing extremists in the USA do not understand love or mercy. The right-wing extremist-Christians use the Bible to justify their evil. They tend to use the Old Testament (the Jewish part of the Christian Bible) to justify their violence and hate. Rarely do they use the New Testament, because the New Testament is very much non-violent.
Just like some Muslims use the Quran to justify violence and hate, some Christians use the Bible to justify violence and hate.
But there are some good Christians and some good Muslims who embrace the good parts. Some people embrace the love, peace, and mercy that is expressed in the Bible and the Quran.
Unfortunately, there are so many ignorant people who are unable to comprehend the books they claim to adhere to.
The wealthy and intelligent right-wing extremists need poor people to be ignorant. just like slave owners needed the slaves to be ignorant. The smarter a person becomes, the more difficult it is to enslave them. This country has millions of stupid slaves.

@davidlafleche1142 Please site, in context, where Jesus was anti-abortion. (Save your time. I know it doesn't exist.)
In fact, Jesus never forced Himself, nor his way of life on anyone.
In fact, when push came to shove, Jesus chose to die at the hands of the wealthy-class right-wingers, rather than force Himself on them by calling legions of angels to help Himself.
I may not like abortion. But I despise the wealthy-class right-wingers and their co-opted working-class class-traitors even more.
The wealthy-class right-wingers, and their co-opted working-class class-traitors, have created such a shite-world. Many people turn to sex for pleasure as a means of escaping the shite-reality created by the right-wing wealthy-class and their co-opted working-class class-traitors.
The wealthy-class right-wingers, and their co-opted working-class class-traitors, have created such a shite-world. Plenty of good, hardworking people want to have sex for pleasure, but they don't want to bring any more children into this shite-world to be exploited by wealthy-class right-wingers and their co-opted working-class class-traitors.
I can't blame the people who want to evict unwanted cells from their bodies before those cells evolve into a human-turned-profit motive for wealthy-class right-wingers and their co-opted working-class class-traitors to exploit.
The same way Christ didn't force Himself on anyone, I'm not going to force women to do anything with their bodies, and I'm not going to prevent women from doing what they want with their bodies. That's between them and God, and it's not for me to judge them.
But I certainly have no delusions about the countless reasons why decent, hardworking people don't want to have children.
Jesus was never anti-abortion anymore than He was pro-birth. He was, however, anti-exploitation, anti-wealthy-class, anti-chauvinism.
My job, as Christ commanded, is to love others. Our job is to love the aborter and the abortionist just as much as the aborted. We're even supposed to love the exploiters, such as yourself.
In the words of Christ, I'll direct these toward you: "Get thee behind me...", 'Away from me...". (Matthew 16:23 & 4:10)
I won't let you, under the power of the evil one, come between me and my love for those who suffer, even though I may not like what they do.

Trudeau is a right-winger, just like Trump, Biden, Pelosi, McCarthy, McConnell, Obama, Bush(2), Clinton(2), Reagan, Putin, Macron, B.Johnson, Bin-Salman, and many, many more.
They are all members of the wealthy-class.
They are all authoritarian conservatives who are trying to conserve the hierarchical systems of neoliberal-capitalism and colonial-imperialism with the master vs. slave, lord vs. serf, laborers vs. loungers, us vs. them, societal dichotomy.
F*kc 'em all.
When you come to understand the international and historical contexts of socioeconomic politics, it all makes perfect sense.

Well, let's start here. It's legal for politicians (and police) to lie to citizens. But then, you might ask, "why is it legal for them to lie?"
Well, our government has been corrupted by the wealthy-class.
It's the same wealthy-class that funded the invasion and theft of this land.
It's the same wealthy-class that committed genocide against the rightful owners.
It's the same wealthy-class that kidnapped Africans and forced them into slave labor.
Those atrocious wealthy-class landholding property-owners from the past prevented their kidnapped-slaves from learning. They made it illegal for slaves to learn.
Throughout history, right up until today, that same brand of atrocious wealthy-class, landholding property-owners use the corrupted government to defund public education.
Now, you might ask, "why would the wealthy-class defund public education and prevent people from learning in the present?"
Well, for the same reason the wealthy-class prevented their slaves from learning.
The wealthy-class knows that stupid people make better slaves.
The wealthy-class also knows that slaves fighting against themselves (with nearly unlimited access to guns), prevents those working-class slaves from rising up against their oppressive, wealthy-class masters.
And, if the slaves are too busy and ignorant to rise up against their oppressors, then they definitely won't be smart enough to realize that the oppressors have made it legal for the wealthy-class owners to lie to the working-class slaves.
Short answer: The corrupt wealthy-class and their corrupted government haven't made laws to make it illegal to lie to the working-class citizen-slaves. So, It's legal.
Maybe your inquiry was rhetorical. But, if it wasn't, I hope this can be helpful to someone in some way. In any way.
Peace and love, to you and yours, neighbor.

@kevincrady2831 Alright, then. If I should be sorry, then I am. I wasn't trying to be confrontational (that would have come in subsequent responses, ha.) I just couldn't catch the tone of what you wrote.
Admittedly, I didn't know what Project Blue Beam even was, and I didn't look it up until just now because I thought you were being some-kind-of-offensive in the post where you mentioned it.
Anyway, how about that Project Blue Beam? Huh? Eh? :)
I don't know about the psycho/sociopaths in your life, but I wouldn't put it past those kinds of people to try something like that to maintain or gain power. Especially the ones with the money to attempt it.
I don't know about the idiots in your life, but I wouldn't put it past the ones in my life to obey a holographic sky projection.
The wealthy-class addicts are vicious when it comes to maintaining their addictions, just like poor idiots are.
Anyway, here's to hoping that big projection of turds never happens.

I became unemployed in 2015. Then I got sick in 2017 with no insurance and no money.
I went to the hospital. They coerced me into signing up for state Medicaid.
One group of doctors said I needed surgery. A second group of doctors said I didn't need surgery.
The first doctors kicked the second doctors out of the room. Then the first group of doctors scared me into believing I needed the surgery and would die without it.
Some other folks I know had the same issue as me, but they had insurance and they were told they didn't need surgery.
I was coerced into having a surgery I didn't need because Medicare money comes directly from the government and goes directly into the hospital's and doctor's pockets.
The first group of doctors committed Medicaid fraud, and the second group of doctors did nothing to stop it because they needed to keep their jobs.
It took me a couple of years to piece together the ruse. But lawyers could have figured out the ruse in a much shorter time span.
But all the doctors knew that if I figured out their ruse, I would have no financial way to bring legal recourse against them. I didn't, and I still don't.
Meanwhile, the people that I know who had the same issue as me and did not get surgery, are all healthy.
I'm under 40 years old, and my body hasn't been right since the surgery.
I was butchered for profit. My life has been ruined.
I still think everyone deserves healthcare. But, the entire system needs to be nationalized with greater oversight, transparency, and accountability.
Profits need to be removed from the system. Good and qualified people will still do these jobs without getting filthy rich and coercing citizens.
I'm glad you have healthcare, but be careful. When you walk in the door, you are a source of free money for doctors and hospitals.
I hope you're never put through what I was put through. I also hope everyone gets the care they need.

Which is why you "cAn’T uNdErStAnD wHy BiDeN iS bEiNg thIs wAy."
Biden is being this way because he's paid by wealthy-class right-wingers to be this way. Because he benefits from the same wealthy-class, right-wing politics as the wealthy-class. Because HE IS a wealthy-class right-winger.

Is Liz Cheney a hero? HA! Only dumb people are still asking themselves. And the worst of the smartest and dumbest people argue over "yes" and "no."
Right-wing politics are pro-wealthy-class&anti-working-class politics, and Liz Cheney is a wealthy-class right-winger.
For decades, Cheney and her pro-wealthy-class/anti-working-class cohorts have acted as metaphorical leopard-breeders. They coddled the working-class leopards, using the same kind of faux-working-class politics that wealthy-class right-wingers have always used.
Then, when the working-class leopards began to catch on to the wealthy-class ruse, those leopards not only began eating each other's faces, but they began eating the faces of the less-intelligent and less-wealthy right-wingers in the wealthy-class.
Meanwhile, Cheyney and her conniving, wealthy-class family are safe in their bunker. And, while the wealthy-class, right-wing Cheyney family have been at their debauchery for decades, wealthy-class right-wingers have been at it for millennia.
The wealthy-class right-wing minority of the population aren't heroes. They aren't to be emulated or praised. And the only reasons they should be considered noteworthy are their catastrophic cultivations leading to the degradation of the planet and their culpable contributions to the suffering of humans in the working-class majority around the globe.
I don't believe in caging humans as a form of rehabilitation. But the right-wingers from BOTH American political parties -- both the wealthy-class knaves and the working-class dupes who do the bidding of the wealthy-class knaves -- are exactly the kind of socio/psychopathic people that need to be segregated and monitored. And the better people in the working-class need to figure out what to do with the right-wing dupes and knaves.
But, referring back to the question at hand: Is Liz Cheney a hero?
Of course, the wealthy-class right-wingers say "yes." As far as they are concerned, Cheney has done well at performing her pubic-facing theatrical role as a failed leopard-tamer. Because, of course, the point is never to tame the leopards -- the point is to turn the leopards against each other.
And, of course, some of the dumb right-wing dupes (working-class Democrats) are still contemplating the question.
Meanwhile, the dumbest right-wing dupes (working-class Republicans) are the leopards answering "no" in anticipation of eating the faces of any other leopards who disagree.
True leftists know the answer is "no," but we'd rather not eat anyone's faces.

I envision a time when all child bearers stand together to utilize the legal system against uncontrolled and uncontrollable semen-shooters -- the very same legal system that is used by uncontrolled and uncontrollable semen-shooters to oppress, subjugate, and force those capable of bearing children to do so.
Child bearers need to get together and create a list of demands for semen shooters. Perhaps a contract-based system by which child bearers can hold semen shooters accountable for the demands.
I think one thing that could be done is for child bearers to require that any semen shooter(s) who wish to fornicate have an escrow-type account in which the semen shooter has deposited an as-of-yet-undetermined amount of dollars.
The funds in these accounts will be rendered to the child-bearers who are forced to give birth. The child-bearer will also hold sole rights to the child and whether or not they wish to be involved with said semen-shooters. After all, 100% of all pregnancies, wanted and unwanted, are caused by uncontrolled and uncontrollable semen-shooters.
If semen-shooters can force child-bearers to have children through the force of law, then child-bearers should be able to force semen-shooters to stay the f*kc away from the child-bearer and child through the force of law.
If uncontrolled semen-shooters don't want to take responsibility for the results of their uncontrollable semen, then those semen shooters should keep their clothes on and their legs closed.
Child bearers, and semen shooters who stand in solidarity with child bearers, stop letting uncontrolled and uncontrollable responsible semen-shooters off the hook so easily after the fact. Require them to step up to the plate, and put the money in the account, before the fact.
