I agree with your sentiment. But it's NOT weird. Cutting the pay of wealthy-addicts is NEVER an option under the pro-wealthy & anti-worker economic systems inherent to right-wing politics. It has been the playbook of wealthy right-wingers since the invention of currency.
In the past, slavery, feudalism, and monarchy were the names for the pro-wealthy and anti-worker economic systems under right-wing politics. And today, capitalism is simply the modern name for the pro-wealthy and anti-worker economic system under right-wing politics.
And, with a new name for the pro-wealthy and anti-worker economic system, the wealthy right-wing addicts also came up with new descriptors to disguise the feudalist-slavery-monarchal nature of capitalism.
(A)Slaves from the past are called prisoners or illegal-aliens in the present.
(B)Serfs from the past are called employees in the present.
(C)Masters, lords, and kings from the past are called supervisors, managers, employers, entrepreneurs, CEOs, investors, and financiers in the present.
(D)Slave patrollers from the past are called police patrollers in the present.
(E)Knights from the past are called soldiers in the present.
There are numerous examples of how the wealthy right-wing addicts have manipulated language for their benefit over time, using propaganda and hyperbole. And just as the wealthy right-wingers have changed their language, so, too, should the working-class.
Again, I agree with your sentiments. But I disagree with the hyperbolic way in which the wealthy-vs-worker dichotomy is discussed.
The working-class needs to be much more direct and sincere in our language -- enough of this under-handed, behind-the-back, or watered-down kind of talk.
The wealthy right-wing addicts will NEVER give up their addictions willingly. And it's time for workers to stop pretending they will.
It's time for the working-class to stop talking and acting like this socioeconomic hierarchy is something new -- this wealthy, right-wing, hierarchical bullsh!te has been going on for millennia.
It's time for workers to stop communicating in hyperbole, like, "it's weird how..." or "it's funny that..."
The minority-rule by the wealthy-class, under which the working-class majority struggles, IS NOT weird -- it is by design.

The wealthy right-wingers aren't going to change their tactics or their desired outcome. But working-class people certainly need to change our tactics.

First, you imply that you read the definitive rebuke of the American brand of Liberal-Conservativitism/Conservative-Liberalism, to which all post-WW2 POTUS's -- from Truman to Nixon, Reagen to Clinton, and Bush to Trump to Biden -- have adhered.
Second, you claim to agree with the rebuke.
Third, you even took the time to copy and paste the rebuke.
And then, you ask if the author -- whose rebuke of Clinton's Conservative-Liberalism/Liberal-Conservatism you claim to agree with -- is a Clinton-Liberal?
I don't bet that a one-word answer would shut you up.
As for Goodman. She, like King, has extensive archives of the work she's contributed. It shows a childish naivete or lack of critical thinking skills to imply that Goodman hasn't received threats similar to those delivered to King. (I've had my life threatened several times by right-wingers in the past few years, and I'm a nobody. So I'm sure Goodman has too, and from more sources than I.)
Goodman doesn't need me to defend her, and I don't need to justify my accounting of her on my list to you. But, I'll give you a logical progression that might explain why Goodman isn't what you want her to be.
1a) King does his thing.
2a) King gets told by 3-letter agencies.
3a) King DOESN'T obey.
4a) King DOES get rolled for doing his thing.
1b) Amy does her thing.
2b) Amy gets told by 3-letter agencies.
3b) Amy DOES obey.
4b) Amy DOESN'T get rolled and lives on to do as much of her thing as she's able.
5) You (a) celebrate King in his death while you fear your own, and you (b) curse Amy's life while you waste your own.
It seems like a pretty clear case of prioritizing self-preservation, which I find to be a prominent common trait among folks who don't share the same faith, nor level thereof, that King had. I won't fault her for that. Nor will I exclude the high quality of her past work just because I don't know her motives behind the reasoning for her more recent work.
We all have blood on our hands. Some by a commission and some by omission. Some by complacency and apathy, and some by reservation and preservation. There is a song called 'Getting Old' by Satsang. Some of the lyrics go, "But if there's blood on my hands, then can I still preach" -- I say yes.
Even if Goodman isn't what you want her to be, she can still contribute value. Just because she isn't contributing the way you want her to, that doesn't mean that she is no longer valuable.
Frankly, your previous engagements make it seem like you're not interested in any probable reality other than the one you've concocted in your own mind.
Further, you seem like a right-wing troll who repeatedly asks the same question as if you're trying to waste the time of better people who are against your right-wing, American Liberal-Conservative/Conservative-Liberal, authoritarianism.

The misplaced rage of the more vicious members of the working-class aimed against the more vulnerable members of the working-class is nowhere near the extent it can reach.
Rather than rising up against the conniving wealthy-class oppressors, the co-opted dupes of the working-class will turn against their working-class mates.

It's not a copyrighted list. I don't have it published to earn a living. I'm not the arbitrator of whatever it is you're trying to arbitrate.
My point was, and remains, as follows. There are remnants of Dr. King all around us, with his semblances expressed through the lives of many.
The people listed have thrown themselves into the fires of the courts of public opinion, like King.
Some got hauled into actual courts of law, like King. Some faced the tyranny of the multi-tiered justice system, like King. Some have been thrown into the human-cages of for-profit torture, like King. All of those systems were designed by, and for the benefit of, wealthy-class white supremacists.
The people on that list have had their lives changed and some ruined by the same wealthy-class white supremacy which Dr. King fought. They have all felt the kind of heat that one doesn't feel simply sitting behind a keyboard.
I'm able to admit that I am imperfect, as the people on the list are imperfect, as Dr. King was imperfect. I am not infallible, nor are the people on the list infallible, nor was Dr. King infallible. And neither are you.
But I can admit, ALL of those people have been better examples than I have been able to be. Even though I do what I am able, most of what I contribute is direct to my family or to those who read the words I write from behind the comfort of my keyboard.
If you want to subtract AOC's name from the list, that's your prerogative. Go for it. Her rhetoric has flattened. My rhetoric would probably follow suit if I received as many credible threats against my life as she has.

The budget of the Federal Government is NOT the same as the budgets of families, communities, towns, cities, and states.

The Federal Government can/could print as much money as is necessary to make sure that all human-necessities are provided for (not to mention the fact that the Federal Government could impose price-controls, maximum-wages, and taxes on wealth and inheritance). But the Federal Government doesn't do that.
And why doesn't the Federal Government make sure that all human-necessities are provided? The answer is simple: because the Federal Government is controlled by wealthy right-wingers.

In the Bible, in the book of Matthew, Chapter 5, Verses 5, 7, and 9, Christ said: (Verse 5)Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the Earth. (7)Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. (9)Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the sons of God.
You can't be pro-violence and pro-war and also be meek, merciful, and a peacemaker.
To be pro-violence and pro-war is the opposite of meek, merciful, and peaceful.
To be pro-violence and pro-war is not following Christ.
Some of the Representatives and Senators in the Republican and Democratic parties are anti-violence and anti-war, but most of them are pro-war. Most of them, in the last 40 years, have voted for violence and war. The Republicans and Democrats who claim to be Christians should not be voting for war.
Number 2:
In the Book of John, Chapter 8, verses 1 through 10, some men bring an adulterous woman to Jesus. The men want to kill the woman by stoning her to death, but Jesus convinces them not to. Jesus says, (Verse 7) Whoever is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
You can't be pro-murder and be without sin.
To be pro-murder is sinning.
To be pro-murder isn't following Christ.
No one in the Republican or Democratic parties is without sin. They have no right to cast the first stone, bullet, or bomb at other people.
Those Republicans and Democrats who claim to be Christians should not be voting for murder.

Christ commanded us to love God first and to love each other second (Matthew, Chapter 22, Verses 38&39 -- Mark, Chapter 12, Verses 29-31 -- Luke, Chapter 10, Verses 25-28 -- John, Chapter 13, Verses 34&35). This would mean we should love ourselves last.

Yourself last.
You can't be pro-war and pro-love at the same time.
There is no love in war.
If you are bringing war, then you are bringing fear.

You can't show love by bringing war and fear to others.

You can't be pro-war and also love your enemies.
Loving your enemies does not include murdering them.
To hate your enemies is not following Christ.
Christian Republicans and Democrats should not be voting for hateful policies against their enemies.

Christ said not to seek vengeance. Christ said if someone slaps you on your right cheek, then let him slap your left cheek. (Matthew, Chapter 5, Verses 38-42 -- Luke, Chapter 6, Verses 27-31)
Furthermore, God told Moses to tell the people not to seek vengeance. God said to love your neighbor; "Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against any of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD." (Leviticus, Chapter 19, Verse 18)
If some people blow up some of your buildings by flying airplanes into them, you don't go and blow up the buildings of those people.
If some people commit acts of war against you, you don't commit acts of war against those people.
Vengeance is for God to deliver, not for us to deliver.
You can't be pro-war without being vengeful.
To be pro-war is to seek vengeance.
To be vengeful is not following Christ.
Republicans and Democrats have both voted to deliver vengeance by way of war. Both parties are guilty of doing exactly what God and Christ said not to do. If they are Christians, they should not be doing that.

Jesus could have summoned an army of angels to protect himself, but Jesus did not do that. Jesus chose not to use violence against those who came to arrest him. Jesus allowed God's plan to unfold, even though Jesus knew the Pharisees were going to kill him. (Matthew, Chapter 26, Verses 53&54)
Jesus knew his time on Earth was limited.
We should also understand that our time on Earth is limited.
We should not seek to extend our time on Earth by ending the lives of other people.
We should become content with the possibility that other people may seek to end our lives on Earth by bringing wars to us.
We should be prepared to give our lives for God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit at any moment.
To be unprepared is not following Christ.
Christian Republicans and Democrats should be voting for measures to extend all life, but instead, they vote for policies to end the lives of others.
Number 7:
Jesus said, there is no greater love than to lay down your life for your friends (John Chapter 15, Verse 13). Notice Jesus says 'to lay down your life for your friends.' Jesus doesn't say to murder other people for your friends.
He says to give up your life for your friends.
That could include trading your life for the life of your friend.
That could include offering yourself as a slave to save the life of your friend.
To give up your life is following Christ.
To take the life of another is not following Christ.
Republicans and Democrats who are Christians should find ways to use their lives to help their friends and their enemies.

When Jesus was being murdered, He asked God to forgive the people who were murdering Him, because they didn't know what they were doing. (Luke, Chapter 23, Verse 34)
Even as Christ was murdered, he had forgiveness for the murderers,
As we live, we should have forgiveness for those who would murder us.
To be unforgiving is not following Christ.

Some of these human-parasites want to enslave people from other countries.
Some of these human-parasites want to enslave people from other states.
Some of these human-parasites want to enslave people of other colors and religions.
And if you don't think those kinds of human-parasites still exist, then look no further than your county Republic/Democrat political-party meeting, your local police/sheriff department, or your nearest military recruiters office.

The kinds of human-parasites who advocate for private property, private companies, and private profit, are the same kind of human-parasites who advocate for "States' Rights" to enslave and abuse other humans in privacy.
And the kinds of human-parasites who advocate for "States' Rights" are the same kind of people who advocate for "Parental Rights" to enslave and abuse children in private.
And kinds of human-parasites who advocate for unfettered privacy are the kinds of human-parasites who want to keep their corruption and their victims private.
The more adamant a person is about "privacy," the more suspicious of them I become, and the more parasitic they reveal themselves to be.
