@Cyn085 As a web developer in the tech industry, I have contemplated going to Mexico City for the same reasons, but you have to understand why immigrants are doing this in the first place. Many immigrants go to USA for a better life and better jobs. Americans are similarly doing this but because the housing is now unaffordable, especially in California where all the tech jobs are. Most have just moved to smaller cities in USA, but some have found Mexico to be cheaper altogether and allow them to own homes sooner rather than be under mortgage for decades. This will allow them to build savings and retirement accounts. The gentrification is an unfortunate side effect. It's not the people's fault, it's the businesses choosing to cater to who has the money. It's always misdirected frustration when it comes to immigration

@no_name5002 Agreed, I really hate cars. It's one of the reasons poor people stay poor, because we are forced to depend on them.
