  2. Well to be honest, music, in an ideal world, shouldn't be something you sell. It's almost like selling air to someone: it's a rip off. But talented individuals deserve support for their hard work in this system of things. What's dumb is that they take it too far and try to get rich off of this way of making money. If I were a musician, I want to make money through music to support myself and my family , not to have a luxurious life. Also, music seems to focus more on the person singing it rather than the message. It's something that many singers have long forgotten. Many are focused on presenting themselves, trying to be famous, trying to sing music that grabs attention for all the wrong reasons. As a singer, I would rather sing to make a statement, to inspire, to motivate, and even to denounce. The message in music should be emphasized more. That is why I prefer rock over all other forms of music, because I feel that is where the true talent really lies.
