"20-30 year olds that don't live with their parents" hahaha Do they exist?
44
Don't think they put sanctions on medicine and food....
15
If you are so concerned about a mask then make one yourself! Not exactly building the millienium falcon.
11
So you plan to vote in another referendum where you don't know if 1) Scotland is financially viable 2) When / If Scotland can join the EU? Note. EU is 19% of Scottish exports versus 60% with the UK. I never took the Scots for fools.
7
It's inevitable that 60% will become infected. This is the only possible outcome. The government has be crystal clear, don't cover up for stupid reckless people.
7
"There is currently no more news on this development" said no news channel ever.
6
Aren't most care homes privately run?
5
@dionnflr5708 Ah yes the neverendum. Your plan is to divide the country with another referendum, break the union with your biggest trading partner and after ignoring ten years plus of austerity Scotland will be back in the EU - in which you say they will flourish. My question is, in the many years prior to brexit when Scotland was a full member of the EU - did Scotland flourish in the EU markets as you say? Answer is no. Scotland's spending exceeded it's GDP, whilst education and health service wilted. This is all before applying Covid 19 into the mix. No wonder Andrew Neil eats Nicola Sturgeon for breakfast.

....I thought he was mixed race....

They are banned. If you are going to make and use a biological weapon you won't give too many Fs about a ban.
3
@William How do religious people make sense of the fact that 1) God could save everyone but doesn't. 2) God made this virus and wanted it to cause suffering.
3
Hello Captain Hindsight.
3
Powerful images. Please keep to the facts and journalism, I dont care for the poetry. Damn the media and their meddling.
3
That is desperate.
3
Do the comments sound this stupid in your head before you write them??
3
Would be more like news if they admitted a cover up, to deny a cover up is really to be expected.
3
These philistines have no appreciation for the zeitgeist. Some one could cure cancer tomorrow and have his / her statue pulled down by yobs 400 years later all because he / she once ate a bacon sandwich or christened their children. Fortunately we don't erect statues for imbeciles, else we would soon be out of room.
3
@TGodOfPower So when media say "African American man" thats accurate to your mind?
2
What about antisemitism, are they going to take down the Martin Luther King Jr statue at Westminster abbey?
2
@emm_arr I suggest you cut the mystique and actually make your point.
2
@Bush Bushie Nice try. It's quite well documented that Scottish education (fully devolved) was failing. Scottish NHS is under performing and Scotland has a unsustainable deficit. These things are well known, the SNP are failing Scotland. The EU will insist Scotland cuts spending and raises taxes. Just facts, clearly you are in denial. https://youtu.be/pGio8wx-O2g
2
@AlbaHistory Going to level with you Guy. Scotland is not equal. Scotland makes up just 8% of the UK by population. I think Scotland's 8% has too much say actually and would do well to remember that 92% are not Scottish. Scotland has a spending deficit and Scots also seem to have responsibility issues. Most people down south are tired of Scottish nationalist constantly moaning because they don't know where their bread is buttered.
2
@AlbaHistory That was so needy I cringed reading that. The numbers are at odds with your claims. Leave if you feel you must just have a plan and be honest with your countrymen. Of course if your country collapses, a broken EU will spit you out, the rich will be long gone and remainers left destitute, independent and forsaken. Just make sure you look your children in the eye and let them know that you left the UK and you wanted this. Or maybe you will get lucky and just have decades of austerity. Who knows.
2
@alanrobertson9790 It's clear that the SNP are exploiting Brexit as a device so they can have a do-over on independence referendum. It's a neverendum for the SNP until they get their way. Tracey Ullman got this correct in jest.
2
@TheFastAndThe Dead Cool, when are you leaving?
2
New title: Diversity hire gets roasted.
2
@clashofclans-soavpjr5965 bet millons of poverty stricken people would look at you and think you were privileged and had it all. All a question of perspective.
2
@IndigoChild-qd7mw people were dying long before governments. You conspiracy guys need to get a real hobby.
2
Fact. If UK had murdered everyone on their 50 birthday then coronavirus would have claimed less lives. Doesn't make sense does it.
2
So sad to misrepresent a man who is in ICU. Check yourself.
2
1) Its criminal damage full stop. 2) Priti Patel understands rule of law. 3) Zeitgeist.
2
Makes perfect sense that during a global pandemic certain resources would be in high demand and low supply. Heads up - running the country during a health crisis is harder than making comments on YouTube.

@PEdulis Your narrative reeks of a emotionally wounded Pro EU Boris hating Channel 4 cultist. You need to move forward my friend. You joke but herd immunity is exactly what you will become (unless you die). Herd immunity has gone down like a lead balloon by the public but that is general ignorance. You options are 1) Die from Covid19 2) Avoid catching Covid19 and wait to get a vaccine. If they break records and get lucky that will 12-18 months. Could be 5 years, could be 10. Could be never. 3) Avoid catching Covid19 until the infection rate basically disappears due to most people having had it aka herd immunity. Then hope you don't get it from a rogue source. 4) Catch covid19 and get over it. You will have partial immunity and become part of the herd immunity. Am I wrong?
1
@PEdulis Claim I am wrong and make a big speech about flattening the curve which I support and accept but you are just redirecting from my point, I will try again in smaller step. Do you have a Sars-cov-2 vaccine in your pocket? No? When will you get one? 12-18 months with luck maybe longer. So no vaccine. So your options are either catch Sars-cov-2 or don't catch Sars-cov-2. Catch it options are survive, make antibodies and gain immunity (be part of the herd) or die. Don't catch it means avoiding carriers for many months whilst disease rages and eventually carriers will fade off as population gains immunity. If disease fades away before any herd immunity or vaccine then additional waves of disease are certain. That's your herd immunity right there, much less a strategy more like inevitable..unless you die. You are a sensible chap I am sure but you sullied your arguments with spite and malice, I am punting it's because you wanted to stay in the EU and now you have become very toxic to anything to do with Tory, Boris Johnson, Dominic Cummings or brexit. You now treat them like pantomime villians, relish in any mud that channel 4 throws at them and snipe at them on social media every chance even lowering yourself with personal attacks towards them. You refuse to accept that things didn't go your way but worse still you won't respect it. Please don't die of covid19 all bitter and resentful, it's past time to move forward.
1
@PEdulis 1) Making silly names, undermines your integrity and detracts from your arguments. Please reconsider. 2) If we don't build immunity after exposure then logically we will keep re-infecting eachother until we all die or all get vaccinated. You can't escape from answering this question, in your view how does this pandemic end? 3) Politically you are clearly so dug in and so fixed to yours guns that even when you are wrong you will believe it to be right. Nothing this government will do will ever win your praise, so all genuine criticism becomes mute. Like it or not this is your government and they have a overwhelming mandate. Seems you will just have to stay toxic and jaded for the next 5 years until the next GE.
1
@PEdulis I would urge caution when damning people using hind sight. Herd immunity isn't a strategy, it's a certainty. The government doesn't mention it now as its too unpalatable to the public as so many facts are. I have tried to explain this to you but you don't seem to grasp it. It's literally the reason for the bell curve. As for a u-turn? I don't actually care, I am comfortable with u turns because the alternative is to possibly block someone from the correct decision. Understand that if you have a 0.01% chance of death and are re-infected ad astra, don't gain any immunity (like you claim) then you will certainly die, unless a vaccine comes into play. I can't make this any more comprehensive. However I do believe we will gain some immunity as stated. Another term for austerity is living within your means. Could the NHS be better funded = always, literally no upper limit. Was any healthcare system on earth fully prepared for a pandemic, then no. Please stop evading and explain to me how this pandemic ends in your opinion, please include timescales. Leadership will always recieve more criticism than plaudits and records are harder to defend than the opposition's hot air.
1
@PEdulis Please listen carefully, Herd immunity is not about letting people die, it's entirely about the natural conclusion to a disease outbreak. It's science not eugenics. All the best with the next GE and with luck even you will get your herd immunity regardless of whether you actually understand the concept.
1
@PEdulis Goverment have to make decisions from the data and advice available at the time. You claim not enough time to gain herd immunity, forget the past and tell me the future. Make a prediction and pick a course of action before the events - WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE for the future? I am hanging on it. Your hatred and poisoned mind is caught up in the past. You are critical of everything but offer nothing. Are you just another internet after-the-event merchant pending your wares?
1
Strange journalism. Comparing counties performance is like comparing fruit on a market stall. Channel 4 news have become third rate news.
1
@emm_arr nope.
1
@emm_arr I imagine that you don't have many friends.
1
@Jacob.Millers Good choice, where abouts in NZ?
1
You sound so dumb. Once they are over this they will be in the herd with immunity. You better hope you join the herd, the alternatives are death or wait a year plus for a vaccine.
1
All you foil hats should just take your vile claims and just foxtrot Oscar. You think you are special and know the 'truth', I don't care just rid us of your BS.
1
As a Brit, I know channel four is hot garbage.
1
You should always watch more than one news channel, clearly all have an agenda to push but lately Channel 4 has thrown the pretense of journalistic integrity out the window.
1
You are a salty sea dog ain't ya.
1
I know right, I mean what is it with the people writing these comments. Wtf.
1
Getting party political during a crisis, you sir are pathetic.
1
@TedThomasTT Perhaps Ted but I said PARTY political, not everything is a partisan issue. Do you always attempt to insult people in your comments? Makes you look bad.
