I just picked a handful of small dandy lion leaves, washed, dried, chopped & warmed up with my eggs. As a kid, my mom would give peach baskets to my brother, sister & I to fill with the blossoms. She made a pretty good wine!

@grtwhtbnr yes, from the blossoms! My mom's would always be cloudy, but its a white wine & I loved being able to taste test it with her.

For around 60 years I've wanted one of those horns so I could make a powder horn for black powder.

Yeah, yt is much better than tv.

My friend told me about coelacanth in 7th grade, back in 1967.

Funny, at the 9:17 mark, they said the Monza was just a rebadged Vega. I had one of them, so in effect, I had a Vega but never knew it. Working on that Monza V6 was a total nightmare. Kind of like trying to rebuild a Bic lighter. It wasn't designed to be fixed, just used & thrown out.

@v.e.7236 A spinal chord injury happens in a split second. A buddy of mine is paralyzed from an accident that happened at 10 mph. I've been riding (on & off) for 60 years & been fortunate, only a few bones have been broken & healed. My comment was in jest, but remember what Samuel Colt famously said, "God created men equal, Colonel Colt made them equal". You may not be a firearm affectionado, but with two arms & and eye you can have some fun. If you have even the smallest amount of interest, goog for a local gun club. Every time I go to my local club with 2500 members, I meet someone cool. 99% are really nice people and love to share information etc. They even have an annual Women On Target seminar i like to attend. Hoping I might meet Mrs Right!

@grtwhtbnr all I remember is picking the blossoms. & seeing the citrus fruit fermenting in an ald ceramic crock. I did try a search and found a few different recipes tho.

@stevecook7551 one of the many things I like about living south of the border is warm weather!

I can't remember the last time I saw a Vega, or a Pinto.

I liked the style when they came out. Don't think I've seen one since the mid 70's.

Some people complain too much.

@v.e.7236 ❤ It's really cool that you posted your original comment 2 yrs ago, and you saw my reply 2 years later.

Consistently high diversity of subjects!

@RB747domme he won't see your question. Tap or click the three dots at the right if his post. As for cigars, Aurora from Dominican Republic are great, also Topper which is wrapped with Connecticut Broadleaf. Muniemakers were great, same CT wrapper, but the maker retired. Apparently, FX Smith is making them in Dominican Republic under the name Tuscarora with CT tobacco. The "darks" are the best! Edit: just noticed your post is 3 years old. Hope you see my reply!

@AsbestosMuffins how'd ya ever come up with "asbestos muffins"? It makes me chuckle when I read it out loud!

I love that your great granddad did such great things. Hope you are doing well too.

I remember a Laurel & Hardy film where they had a Victrola in their car.

Great vid. I've been driving past that blue onion dome on top of the Hartford Colt factory building for 70 years. As a kid I heard that if a machinist made a bad part, sometimes they'd throw it out a window & into the Connecticut River. I wanted to learn scuba diving so I could go look for those parts! (The River is actually too far to reach, even for a pro outfielder)

Sounds like you do your research. Love your vids!

I'd be happy to be away from all electronic devices.

So we're told processed meats are not healthy, and now they want us to eat laboratory grown meat. I'll take the bugs before I eat meat grown in a petri dish...

The really annoying music stops around a minute & a half in. (Its worse than pop up ads) Fortunately, the topic & narration are great, as usual.
1
I like that the episodes are between 10 & 15 minutes long.
1
I subscribed for two reasons. 1. The content is good. 2. You do not add background noise/music while you are talking. Intro & outro is OK, but if I hear annoying, distracting background music during your talks, I'll be long gone.

@marlinweekley51 confusing but interesting

Sadly, ME is being run by libtards. I will never go back there.
