  1.  @KKoKoRR  I never heard about using bottle caps for hot glue, but it sure makes sense. I have used a soldering iron to melt & seal leaking gas tanks on my lawn mower, etc. I cut off a little bit of plastic from the engine cover, which was the same color, for filler material.
